I haven't been to this location in a while, and have actually rented from here several times. It's not far from me, public transportation makes it easy for me to go home from here after returning a vehicle so I like this location. Pros are the staff here are friendly and they have nice cars. Cons are it's a small location and for some reason, this entire place smells like cat. From the minute you enter the garage it smells like cat. I drove in today to return a rental, and the smell was so strong it came through the car vents. On the plus side, renting a car during the week is quick and easy. On weekends they get so backed up, i prefer the morris park location on weekends, especially since they are open on Sundays. This location had a dirty bathroom before but it's actually really clean now. I want to give a shout out to Frankelly who helped me get a great vehicle for the pool Day with my family. read more

The moment you walk in her, your greeted with a welcoming face. More than 3 people at the reception meaning your wait is less than expected. My rental was very accommodating due to my needs. The car given very nice, clean. I highly recommend this place for your future car rental overall other Enterprise location, I observed this one has better cars, and most better customer service I give them A+. read more

4580 Third Ave Bronx NY..... I don't understand why they are even open! They don't have a many cars to pick from and i was there on a Geico claim getting a rental under the "At Fault" persons Insurance Policy. The Car i received was very basic.... 2020 Hyundai Elantra, cloth seats, no GPS..... Fine! .....BUT ..... 1.The wet cloths smell which was wayyy more noticeable on the warmer days gave me the cringy "icks" 2.It's dim lighting inside the garage so when i got into the day light and seen how disgustingly filthy the interior was.... I Immediately thought to make a u-turn and switch the vehicle out for another, just to be told, they didn't have any more cars that would be covered under the policy's coverage. I covered the seats with old Sheets the whole duration i had the vehicle, which wasn't long so Thank God to that! I was referred there by Geico! If I could zero stars I would. Currently waiting for over 40 minutes after completing all paperwork to just get a car. New hires need better training. I was told that someone would get to me "eventually" and that certain customer requires more time than others. No professionalism. After renting from them previously before at this location with NO ISSUES WHATSOEVER, (a few times) today I was NOT able to pick up a car which I had reserved 3 days ago and was called to confirm the pick up yesterday and given all details of what was needed when I showed up. Her reason was because my cable bill was past due which it was past due the last few times I picked up from them before but what changed today?? It was actually only a hundred bucks and which I was like ok I'll pay that little hundred off right now and the woman proceeds to tell me, "No, I mean you could pay the bill right now if u choose to but we still can't give you a car. I explained the only reason I wanted the car was because 8/15 which is the very next day was my birthday and all I wanted to do was go upstate to my friend's house to have dinner, please don't do this to me! I reserved a rental the night before 1/6/23 & arrived about 10-15 minutes before they opened. I would say 2-3 minutes before opening time, I was allowed in, welcomed & greeted by a young man at the front desk. He walked me through the first steps of the procedure wonderfully & informed me another employee named James would be out to help me the rest of the way. In the meantime he provided some great conversation while me & my mom waited. Although the car I initially reserved wasn't available, James did upgrade me to an amazing Nissan SUV that did great for my drive back upstate & was the same price. The car was clean & great on gas like he said & overall I had a seamless experience. Additionally, I appreciated his newer pick because of all the safety features it came with such as lane departure & the back up camera. I was referred to this company from StateFarm. My car is currently in the shop due to an accident through no fault of my own. I was given the WORSE car on the lot, compact, smoked in piece of junk they had on their lot! I was told they would try to match my car and all I had to pay was the additional insurance and gas fees. They wanted $60 a day for a 2023 Dodge Challenger which is my car. While the salesman was pleasant enough he was obviously new on the job and ill informed. I made the personal mistake of accepting the car and signing the paperwork. After work the car was shaking! Check engine light, low tire and some other light were all lit up during my short drive home. I immediately returned the car the next morning - I rather take my chances with the train!!!! It is interesting how folks are being demonized for inquiring about their well in advance car rental reservation, in a calm respectable manner and NO service. Not really hate speech but, more like about desperately hiding the truth dealing with the 4580 3rd Ave BX car rental location NOT honoring 3 confirmations from the company representatives for pickup by providing 1) A phone call- Then they left a voicemail message, confirmed pick up. 2) Then by email, confirmed a car was ready for pick up. Thirdly- I called and spoke to a live person for them to re-confirmed pick up at a different location. Strangely, the Enterprise email noted a different location for pickup. The Enterprise representative verbally confirmed a car was available for pickup at 4580 3rd Avenue BX,NY. The day of pickup, when arrived on the scheduled date, The branch manager tells me it's a 2 to 3 hours wait not considerate of the well in advanced scheduled reserved contracts, the clients times nor their irreversible plans. All of a sudden NO cars are available on the day of pick up. This is extremely poor business etiquette, not honoring well in advanced reserved reservation/ contracts, confirmed 3 times. Again,that particular Bronx NY location needs to reinforced customer service training. Let's just say I'm not the only review with concerns of their poor service. I have placed Enterprise corporate calls with my concerns. The Enterprise corporate customer service representatives mentioned the regional manager will contact me and noted that branch manager did not follow protocols. It's been over a week and I have NOT heard from anyone yet. I called back to only get a reference number and still waiting for a reply. This matter needs to get addressed and that location needs to get reprimanded for treating people with such disrespect. read more

I love this site! They are always so professional. They go through all of the motions and when they know you, they treat you like family. I left my wallet once and they were able to retrieve it and hold it until I was able to come back and get it. They have implemented a bunch of sanitary practices to fight COVID and they always have a smile. The only down side is that the waits are sometimes so long due to so much thru traffic. I very rarely write reviews for anything on Yelp, but I need to take a minute to talk about how excellent the service was for my car rental experience. Everyone I talked with was so helpful and friendly (and if it were me working on a Friday afternoon before Halloween I would be counting down the minutes until I was off for the night!), and even though they initially estimated it would take 45 minutes to check out our entire process took 10 minutes tops - and check in the next day was even easier. Car rental experiences can be very hit or miss so it's possible I just got lucky, but based on the quality of experience I had and the great customer service here, I think this is just a really great business with really great employees. I'm going to tell of a terrible experience I had with enterprise. First of all I am disabled, so I needed a surrogate driver. They didnt know anything about the whole process, they were uneducated in that field. Which was very frustrating to me. After waiting there for hours they finally got it together. Strike one, So then we had to pick up the car at another location ok. We then purchased insurance on the vehicle because it's not included in the price. So now we're on our way, lord and behold the car was not the one we insured. They gave us a different uninsured vehicle, we got to our destination at the hotel in Virginia and couldn't register the vehicle because the paper work we had didn't match the information of the vehicle. So we drove from New York to Virginia in a vehicle with no insurance. I was very upset, scared and disappointed. I had my family with me , it was a 7 passenger vehicle. I had my daughters and my granddaughter with me. We was in another state, the driver of the car was too scared to drive now knowing that this vehicle had no insurance and we was in another state. She stated that we can get in trouble if we get pulled over or in an accident. So therefore I wasn't able to use the car, I had to take taxis to go take care of all my business. What a disappointment. Rented a vehicle from this company enterprise and couldn't use it. Yes, I was livid, I called the next day to inform them, guess what it was the weekend so it was closed. So when we got back to New York I let them know what happened, they was so apologetic at first, but when I asked for my refund they started to stutter. They gave me the run around I had to call 4 times to get answers. I wanted to talk with the Corporate office, to let them know what I went threw with their company, and employees.I deserve to be compensated for this terrible ordeal, do you think so? read more

Enterprise needs to train their employees in customer service and customer value. Customers should not be expected to waiting while you attend to internal issues or other difficult customers, if you are busy with an issue that impedes you servicing waiting customers acknowledge the people waiting and have someone else attend to them while to attend to that situation. Show that the customers time is important and do not take them for granted. Employees should recognize when customers are being underserved, short staff or high demand is not an excuse for leaving customers waiting especially when they made appointments and arrived ahead of time. Maybe Enterprise has done this training but it need to be reinforced or made an operating culture of each franchise. read more

Was in a very bad car accident this morning. My insurance company called around to different Enterprises and this location was the only to have a car at the right rate. When we arrived however it was a different story. Not only did Xavier Quarterman try to hustle us by giving us the most expensive car available but he didn't know how to handle our pushback about wanting the price we were quoted over the phone (our insurance had called on three way). He kept saying I'm doing you a favor and you are not listening to me. At one point he even said he wasn't going to deal with us anymore and that if we wanted help we needed to talk to someone else. He was "done." I asked for the manager and he said that he was the manager and there was no one else I could speak with to share my disappointment and get some honest answers. I asked him for his card three times. He wouldn't give it so I went to get it from the counter. Turns out he is not the manager but the assistant. After a long morning & a bad car accident, the last thing you want is to work with someone at the car rental with a bad and inconsiderate attitude who makes the day even more difficult for you. The girl that works there told me the car I wanted smelled really bad but they cleaned it out and it didn't smell that bad...when I started driving the car IT smelled like death and Garbage IT WAS DISGUSTING!!!!! THERE WAS A DEAD ANIMAL UNDER THE HOOD OF THE CAR!!!!! I called the location and spoke to the manager and he told me that I had to go to lagaurdia airport to Change the car because they were going to close by the time I got back to them it was 5:30 when I called the location closed at 6p. ....I was 10 minutes away...I asked him if they couldn't wait 10 minutes for me to drive back AND HE BLUNTLY TOLD ME NO THEY COULDN'T WAIT..... so they rented the car to me with a dead animal under the hood and didn't even have the consideration to wait a few extra minutes for me to drive back to them instead the manager wanted me to drive 1.5 hours away to LaGuardia airport with that horrendous smell.... Kim had patience to show us all the larger cars they had in stock and accommodated us in luxury Q5 on an early Friday morning. Such friendly service and efficient, we hope to see her again under better circumstances. Last week, I reserved a car for about a week and the day I went to pick it up, they gave me nonsense about an error in the system and if I wanted the car I'll have to pay way more per day then the price I reserved it for. I explained to them it is not my fault what has happened and due to the fact that I already reserved at a certain price and it was a mistake on their system they should honor it. The workers and the manager refused to help me and refused to honor the reservation price. One of the workers had an attitude. I, also asked to speak to the managers boss and was told he's too busy to speak to me. They gave me a business card and I called enterprise number and someone took my information told me I should of been honor those prices and they don't understand why they didn't do it , but there's nothing they can do, but send an email to the headquarters for this Bronx location. One week later still nothing. This was my first and last time trying to do business with this company. I went over to hertz right after and they were able to assist me with better prices and right away. I am very disappointed on the way I was treated and how they use false advertising to lure customers in. This is not how you should run your business. Never again! read more

Tino was amazing! We had a last-minute reservation for a car after being stranded at the airport. We arrived as he was walking out the door at the end of the day & he didn't hesitate to open up the shop, turn the lights & computers back on, & help us. I have no idea what we would have done if it weren't for him! My only complaint is the A/C was not working...for the entire 10 hour drive to get to Virginia. This was surprising since it was a 2018 vehicle. Spending over $500 for a Toyota Camry 24 hour rental with no a/c isn't really worth it. Hor-Ri-Ble. Our reservation was for 4pm (almost a month in advance) and we did not get the car until 530 (they were doing a oil change and tire rotation but still that should be done BEFORE the reservation.) This was on a Thursday btw. Only allowed 150 miles per day with a .25 cent charge per mile. Drove to South Carolina so it ended up being a lot. The car we got was HORRIBLE in gas, Jeep Compass. Had to stop every 3 hours. When we returned some guy gave us his card for a free day if we ever returned but it's just not worth it (he was very nice at least, even credited $20 for having some gas left in the tank.) That was the only positive. Never going to Enterprise again. read more

They are cool. There seems to be a revolving door of associates there, of baby faced young people. I think they get promoted often or something. You don't get that sense that you know the people because they are often someone you have never seen before. Which is not a bad thing. But they are nice enough. The cars are OK. There are some super new and too many compacts that need to be retired in their fleet of cars, so I have ended up spending more money to upgrade. Also, I do not think they properly service their cars, as far as suspension, frequent oil changes, etc. read more

After reading these reviews, I was leery about renting from this location. Fortunate for me, I had zero issues at this location. I booked a car well in advance online and when I arrived, there was a short line but I managed to get all paper work done and be in a vehicle in less than 15 minutes. The return was also painless. $129 total for a Nissan Rogue for 24 hours. The staff was great and friendly. I would definitely use them again. read more

I give them 4 stars because when I arrived to pick up my reserved rental there were irate customers who were upset because it was Friday 1/13/17 and there weren't any cars available. I observed how the managers and workers were very calm and accommodating. They made calls to other locations and the issues were resolved. The professionalism was consistent. They took care of every customer and resolved everyone's problem. The staff was polite. I wouldn't recommend last minute rentals because this location is very busy. Cars are( sometimes) not available. The staff will try to help, everyone.The car that I rented out was on empty. The car was clean. The bathroom was dirty. My second time renting from this location. I reserved an SUV for the weekend and got a brand new Tahoe LTZ. They say you'll Tahoe or similar but I got a big clean Tahoe LTZ with all the bells. I got there a few minutes late on a Friday afternoon for my reservation and the staff was slammed; Seems like they might have been short a guy or two. I waited maybe 10 minutes and drove out of there 5 minutes later. Good service for a busy day. Returning, there was a line of about 3 cars outside that moved quick. If you just got a license and still have the temporary paper they give you, you should go somewhere else like hertz since this place doesn't let you book if you don't have the hard copy. Just make sure you bring your permit to hertz along with the passing paper and shouldn't have a issue. read more

Chrisann Guy is the Assistant Branch Manager at this location and is exceptional. As I waited to pick up my reserved car made online, I watched Chrisann navigate between customers with varying needs flawlessly. This woman's level of patience and ability to provide information was remarkable. Customers from the absurd to the rude and Chrisann took it all in stride. This is what customer service is all about, I can't say that everyone else at this location demonstrates the same level of skill and professional demeanor but Chrisann is certainly a gem and should continue to be looked at as a leader. The absolute worst website I've ever experienced. I've been trying to reserve a rental car for about 15 now (amazingly slow when nothing else is slow, reverts to prior screen, and after everything finally was entered it's in a perpetual holding pattern with a flashing circle inside a square) As soon as this review is done I'll head over to national or Avis. Despite recently signing up to be a "member" because they're located nearby for rentals when my car is getting repaired, I can't see using Enterprise in the future. read more

This is the worst car rental place. I rented out a car for three days. I decide to stay with it for a couple of more days. I call in to make them aware, and to request a better vehicle even if I have to pay extra. The guy on the phone was rude he's like it's a 2017 vehicle and it works fine. We don't have anymore cars. I let him know he's wrong. Anyone knows what a 2017 car looks like compared to anything older. What I don't understand secondly is why not keep the customers? Just let me get another car rental if I'm unsatisfied and let me pay the extra money out of my pocket it's not a bother or a problem. Instead he decides to argue with me and have an attitude like he's on his period. I don't know what his name is.
