MTA M15 Bus Uptown to Costco has always been clean and fairly timely. We usually get the ticket at the bus-top for select bus service. It's limited stops to our 117th Street location. Today the regular M15 bus just kept going past us speeding along. We both noticed the select bus we were on was going fast today too. I really like the comfort of the newer buses. When the driver is going fast the ride isn't comfortable due to the many holes and bumps in the road. That's what happened today. This location has a shelter in case it's raining or you want to sit to wait for the bus. I suggest you be noticeable on the sidewalk or the bus driver might just speed by!

Took the bus in NYC lower Manhattan. The MTA - M15 starts in is a local bus. The bus was clean when we got on. We took the bus to Chinatown. The bus itself was clean. Bus driver was very friendly. Best of all there are free charging port on the bus. We had a weekly pass. The pass costed $34 for unlimited ride for the week.

This bus has no restrooms--gender neutral or otherwise. (Why does Yelp! ask me that?) This is the local M15 up first avenue to Harlem; it's good and reliable and runs 24 hours, and I prefer it for short trips now that there's "Select" bus service for the longer trips. Of course, the M15 also goes downtown--all the way to South Ferry--via 2nd avenue; here is their "BusTime" link: https://bustime.mta.info/m/?q=M15

The best thing about the M15 local bus..it arrives at the bus stop before I even get a chance to check it on the MTA Bus Time website. Going downtown it runs along 2nd Avenue and then turns east on Houston Street and continues south on Allen Street, right on Madison Street and continues south again on St. James, Pearl and finally on Water Street all the way to South Ferry. It will go past the outskirts of Chinatown. More towards the LES. It's the best bus near Chinatown. The other bus that goes through the main avenue (Bowery) in Chinatown is terrible so I rather take the M15 but the M15 can be a bit too far in the east side of Manhattan sometimes. But it's the most reliable bus. Unfortunately there is no crosstown buses in Chinatown.

BOTH MACHINE BROKEN. Complete BS.

The kiosks they have to get your pass before you get on makes boarding the bus much quicker than a regular bus.

To start my round trip ticket was only $55 dollars which is comparable to other buses that do the DC-NYC route. There was free WiFi, water, access to movies. The driver was very friendly and courteous and ensured that all passengers were respectful of those around them. Lastly, this was the cleanest public bus I've ever been on. The floors were wooden, the seats leather, and the bathroom actually useable without cringing and holding your nose lmao. Despite how amazing the service, and how nice the bus is, people are still gross, so I would recommend bringing wipes and hand sanitizer. A woman had her bare feet all over the arm rest, and another was clipping her toe nails.

Plus from Bethesda, we all had to wait 40 minutes because the bus driver was late, then he almost got into two accidents as he was speeding driving recklessly. You can file a complaint with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) here -- this covers both service failures and safety violations.

The bus number in the app and the bus showing up may NOT be the same! $150 for a family of four who had to scramble to get from NYC to Philadelphia after an Amtrak emergency canceled the trains all day. It's an alternative option compared to flying and it's not the fanciest, but gets the job done. Traveling on a budget you can't have it all so don't expect this to be perfect and relaxing. It was hectic trying to understand if it was the right bus to begin with. Also be prepared to load and unload your own luggage. The things I noticed/encountered: -The seats were a little smaller, but fairly comfy. -There were seat belts available -Depending on the seat, outlets were in the bottom/front of the 2 seats or side of the window seats. -There were large, panoramic tinted windows, which made the ride better. -Large garbage bags were placed throughout the bus, which helped keep the bus cleaner (assuming people used them). -The bathroom was small, but decent and clean...at least at the start of the ride. -There were foot rests, but they weren't very useful. I took the 5:30 pm bus on a Wednesday, so it wasn't as packed as a weekend bus may have been. The driver was friendly, check-in process was seamless...we just gave our names. I didn't have any large luggage, so I didn't have to use that extra compartment on the outside/bottom of the bus, but it was available for self-loading/unloading. There was additional storage available above the seats (similar to an airplane) and below the front seats. Even though there was traffic and heavy rain, we made it to our stop (stop #2 out of 3) in perfect time. There are multiple signs for Go Bus, luckily the bus driver walked over to us and let us know that the bus is actually stopped 2 signs ahead. Would I take this bus again? Yea, absolutely.

He scanned our ticket and we boarded. The bus was pretty full, so we ended up sitting separately. The above head storage bins are kind of tight, so I had to take something out of my over stuffed backpack to manage to wiggle it in. While my purse sat on my lap. I liked the foot rest and the hook on the handle on the seat in front of me. Trash bags were hung here and there. Looks like they also provided small bottles of water for us, though we had to grab those ourselves. The electric plugs didn't seem to work, but perhaps the ubs plugs in the ceiling did. Our driver was a great communicator. He set expectations so we knew that we had a 20 min rest stop before arriving at Baltimore, and pointed out things to help us to pay attention and to get back to the right bus. He warned us that given current construction that we were sure to arrive later than what our tickets said, and gave us his best eta given the circumstances. Another passenger later commented that the bus bathroom was clean. We kind of ended up being dropped off on a brightly painted bridge in the middle of no where - perhaps on Maryland Ave?, by a bus stop. A short walk from Penn Station.

When we contacted customer service, we were told the bus had already left at 7:47 PM, which is simply not consistent with what we experienced. Instead of investigating the situation or showing any empathy, customer service insisted the bus had departed and refused to offer a refund or any meaningful resolution. It's extremely frustrating to be told we missed a bus that never appeared while we were waiting at the designated pickup location. Reliable service and responsive customer support are essential for travelers. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this service and hope the company improves both its bus tracking and customer service processes.
