It is my pleasure to write this review of the entire staff at this Enterprise location. Benjamin, manager, truly stands out at one of the best customer experiences I've had. I don't say this likely as he warmly welcomed my mother and I into the location. Each staff member in the office said "Good Afternoon" with a smile and Ben immediately asked how he could be of assistance. Once we explained that my mother recently had two knee replacements, he presented us with vehicle options that would ensure her comfort and ease. He explained to us how to best navigate the complexities of dealing with insurance and brought a chair around for my mom. Though extremely well dressed, Ben took it upon himself to wash the GMC Acadia and fill the windshield wipe fluid before sending us on our way. Terrible experience, I've did a reservation a month in advance and I called when they opened the day I was suppose to pick up my car... lady answers the phone and proceeds to ask my name. I gave it to her and then says they are not going to have my reservation that I booked a month in advance with no type of explanation. Mind you guys it's a Friday and I had a trip that same weekend. So last minute they want to tell me this but two days before they called me and confirmed my reservation? Makes no sense. I had no type of explanation and didn't get my reservation that I booked. She tried to give me the I'm sorry but that's what it is type of talk. I Asked if they can't look at any other locations that have, she says I can call and look. Like why must I do the work but you guys are messing me? So now I had to figure out to get transportation for my road trip another way. First of all, the customer service at this location is THE WORST I've ever experienced! I made a reservation for a midsized car for new year's eve and when we got there, they said that the reservation wasn't in their system. So I showed it to the "representative" that was helping us and he said that he didn't understand why the system did that because his system wasn't showing my reservation. He then proceeded to tell us that the actual reservation should have been for the Eastchester location. He the had the audacity to tell me to call around to see who had a car available!!! WHATTT!!???? ARE YOU SERIOUS???? So I asked him to please give us one of the many cars in the lot and he said that he couldn't because they were reserved... SO WAS MINE!!!! The representative then tells me that he has a mini van which he can give me instead of the midsized car I originally reserved. He literally told me take it or try (on my own) to find other locations that had what I reserved! I reluctantly took this HUGE mini van and before leaving I made sure to ask the clerk about extending the amount of days if I needed to. He informed me that the rate for each additional day would remain the same as the original reservation and that all I had to do was call them up. Fast forward to the day I was supposed to return the vehicle... The same disrespectful, condescending and arrogant clerk pics up the phone and I explain that I want to extend my reservation for an additional day. He tells me the price is double what I paid for the previous days. I'm like "WHAT!!??". At this point I've had enough and asked to speak to a manager. HE HANGS UP THE PHONE!!!!!! Enterprise Rent-A-Car - This is the HELL HOLE From which I rented my car. NEVER AGAIN!! WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!! - Car Rental Near Me - Bronx, New York

This Enterprise location regularly parks vehicles on the sidewalk (and not 1 or 2... 5-10!), causing pedestrians walking to/from the nearby train station to dodge rush hour traffic on a busy street. Both the local neighborhood association and NYC Councilman Andrew Cohen have complained many times, but Enterprise doesn't seem to care. I am basing this review on a genuine experience, dealing with the actual professionals that Enterprise wants under their brand name. Yesterday I needed a car ASAP to attend a wake/funeral. The folks here are 100% professional, and streamlined the process for me to get a car. One wasn't available immediately, but I am aware of inventory issues because nothing ever works perfectly. People get mad, lose patience, and because we all have keyboards, can write a negative review because of a bad day. Even when a bad day has nothing to do with the experience of simply renting a car. I had a very positive experience and want to thank Roy and Tia for helping me out at a time I needed it. They knew nothing about my situation, they just did their jobs. Whoever runs this branch, you've got professionals working for you, and I will be using Enterprise at 233rd because of the professionals you have working here. read more

Let me start off by saying that the staff here is great, always attentive, always ready to help and never rude. They greet you, take care of you right away and it is always a great experience with them. Now, the low review here is because of the cars this location carries. I rent fairly often and the past three cars have been a problem. The first car had a cloud over the windshield and nothing would get it off. It made driving hard and conditions unsafe especially with on a sunny day. The second car, got two nails in two weeks and although this was by no means the fault of Enterprise, I could not quickly exchange the car anywhere, as no location I called had midsize cars available. It was a hassle every morning to worry about the tire's pressure and whether I will get a flat or if I can park for an entire day and then be stranded. The latest car, has probably the worst of the issues as when the car speeds up in automatic (it is a dual car) from about 10-35mph it roars and has a rubbing sound to it. Now, regular speeding up roar is common, however the serious rubbing sound is not. Out of all the cars it's probably the most unsafe I felt and I'm glad I'm returning it tomorrow. Overall, great customer service, but absolutely horrible, unsafe cars. It is unfortunate, as this is my preferred renter and I'm thinking of re-considering. read more

My rental experience was bitter sweet, pickup was seamless at mid-day on a Thursday. Yet, when I dropped off around 5pm it was chaos. Lots of people were also dropping off and picking up their rental, so it was very rushed which caused me to leave my Coach sunglasses in the car. I called the same night and left a message on their machine and called the following morning. A female answered the phone and told me they already rented out the car so she's gonna call the renters and hopefully get it back when they return. It's weeks later and still no word. I know they check the car when you come back so the girl who checked had to have found it, but I'm not pointing fingers. Either way just know that if you pick up in the morning drop off in the morning, if you drop off in the evening it will be considered an extra day rental. This cannot be changed in the system, but Alan took very good care of me and I left happier even though I had to pay for an extra day. read more

I had to wait over 2 hours to receive my rental car. There's only one person working.

I rented a car for the weekend, to be returned Monday morning. On Sunday night, the key broke off in the ignition and I ended up taken taking a cab home. Customer service reimbursed me for the cab and didn't charge me for Sunday. Quick and easy; they were very accommodating. read more

This place is a complete and total JOKE!, I came here as a recommendation from the auto body shop that was fixing my car. My insurance covered everything! When I arrived there I had to pay 150 ok fine whatever it's a deposit I get it but the guy that was helping me made it seem like I needed to get the extra insurance coverage he never once told me that my full coverage rolled over ever! so here I'am paying for nothing! that was the first thing the second thing was that they kept charging my card almost 700! and when I called to speak to the stupid most rude manager ever he started talking to me like I was a little kid which further infuriated me! I have came to this Enterprise two times in 2 weeks, the first time they gentleman was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, and the phone was ringing off the hook, he answered every call while I stood there waiting to be attended for what felt like an eternity, then my reservation was for another location and he told me he wasn't able to honor it. I decided to then take a new reservation but they didn't have any cars ready (tbh I think he just wanted me out because when I told him I was leaving cause he seemed busy, he said "ok bye"). Today I walked in with a new reservation and the same error, miraculously he was able to transfer it. He wasn't able to take my payment because it was on two cards. (Credit cards) and did nothing to try to accommodate me, not reducing the days or downgrading the car, don't ever come here, their cars are never available and the customer service is stiff. read more

Horrible service in here, only one guy working on a Saturday and they don't even answer phones after 12. Very small and congested place.

The regional manager contacted me after my complaint via social media and assured me I would have a car when I went to pick up. I went before 5:30pm. The staff was really helpful (hence increase in stars). However, they did tell me that they had driven up a car (the same class of car I originally reserved) and put my name on it on the windshield that afternoon. That confirmed to me that had I not made a stink over social media, I definitely would not have had a car despite my reservation and confirming via phone when this branch CALLED ME earlier in the week. That to me is still unacceptable. What good is a reservation if it is not honored? I exclusively used Enterprise before, now I am going to try other companies that I hopefully can rely on. read more
