We waited about 30 minutes for our rental car here, even though we had a reservation. On a Saturday, they only had one detailer and were backed up when cleaning and turning over the cars. They kept switching the car they were going to offer us and we ended up with a different one than we reserved. There was very little communication about the delay or the wait time. Have been a customer before they moved to the location on S Fulton....all other experiences were satisfactory except my most recent on 5/10/2026....I reserved a vehicle online to use for Mother's day (tomorrow Sunday)...I drove to my apartment 20 mins from the office & parked the car ....tried restarting the vehicle 5 mins later but it wouldn't start.... the vehicle was a 25 toyota camry hybrid with only a push start power button...no key to insert.... the car had a faulty starter as all I heard was clicking noises when I push the power button to start the car.....I call customer service & was referred to road side assistance ....which of course was an additional charge....Its highly unlikely that the staff was unaware that this vehicle had a starter problem but they rented it out to a customer anyway....thats not right...plus its the weekend and they wont reopen till Monday.... I will be disputing this transaction as I wont have use of the car for the period I paid for usage. read more

The Mount Vernon office was amazing for me and they really help me through a bad situation because I had put my nephew down as an additional driver and he didn't bring the car back in time so I was freaking out and they really helped me through it and they were patient and The manager named six was awesome, stayed on top of everything everyday very sweet and professional I recommend them highly !!! read more

I received a rental vehicle from the Mt. Vernon enterprise office. It was disgusting and sticky inside. I wiped down the inside to handle it for the meanwhile but then I realized there is an awful smell inside the vehicle. I went to exchange the car and the response I received was we have no cars available. I called several locations within a 15 mile radius and all of them said the same thing "no cars available". I am assuming since it was an hour to closing time no one wanted to work and I say this because when I pulled up to 2 other locations the lots were filled with cars yet received the same response "no cars available"... as a rental car agency shouldn't it be a given that you have "cars available"? The only reason I used enterprise is due to my insurance company. I am now trying to resolve with my insurance company. Enterprise customer service is atrocious. read more

I was compelled to write a review when I personally only review eateries however the establishment needed recognition for such professionalism and courtesy. I had rented a car the day before due to my vehicle being involved in a hit and run. The first rental was good but noticed a bit of an issue with the AC. I probably could of dealt with the issue but personally wasn't satisfied so I made a call yesterday evening and spoke w Yaya who was extremely pleasant and reassured me she would have a comfortable car come the following morning. Fast forward I get to Enterprise today at 7:40am and meet Christian whom is also very accommodating and made sure the vehicle was cleaned and washed which he personally did himself. Mount Vernon enterprise is the worst enterprise you can ever go to. The asst Manager will do anything to get you in to rent a car, even lie. She put my families life in jeopardy when she gave me a car that was too small know the size of my family. It took for her manager to call another location in Yonkers to fix it. When I was going to return the vehicle the same asst manager refused to except the vehicle because it had a scrape on the bumper and a small dent on the rear quarter panel that was there when I rented it. She told me to take it back to where I rented it from. Let's protest this location and express our sadness to this company. read more

I spoke with 3 different representatives before the issue was resolved (including a manager). There was a miscommunication between Enterprise Roadside Assistance and the Enterprise local branch in the 10550 area code of Mount Vernon NY. I lost my car key and thought it would be a simple fix since I was returning the rental the same day. It wasn't simple at all. The last representative I spoke with told me that my first call that was made for someone to tow my car did not go through since they had high call volumes or what ever else she could make up. I had already waited for an hour by the rental car expecting someone to tow the car. So then I had to wait another half hour - 45 minutes for them to find someone else to tow the car. Unacceptable customer service. If you have alleged high call volumes; don't tell me someone will be there in one hour. read more

First of all, their employee Mark should be awarded a medal. I had a pick up for 10am but called the office at 9 to arrange a pickup for ME by enterprise. Mark made that happen quickly and I was to the office before 10, even though they probably could have waited til 10 to even leave to get me. No explanations needed, just courteous service. The pickup and ride were fine. The driver took me literally to the door of the office and Mark hopped out from behind the desk to open the door for me. At the office, there was one person in front of me, who was quickly processed. I won't go into full details because I'm lazy but I watched Mark multitask and graciously, professionally handle multiple customers, phone calls, and admin duties. This one customer was so entitled and annoyingly rude I almost told him to step it down but Mark didn't bat an eye. I commend him for that because I would have definitely taken a different approach if I were in his shoes. Drop off was just as easy and accommodating. I came by early in the morning, paid my bill, and got a ride to the train, making to work on time without issue. Great service here! read more

This is the worse enterprise, trust me do not go there. If you do, document everything take pictures even vid of them doing thier inspection because the things said to you are lies. I was told not to worry about the front and back bumper and the lower sides of the car (which i questioned the guy about and he said it was fine) but my mistake was to not document him saying this i bring the car that i bearly drove back and now they are trying to charge me for damage that was there before. The only reason why this got any stars is because they actually have "some" great staff. I had a 1 week rental and the staff members that I dealt with were awesome. Her name is Jodi-Ann she is extremely professional and another Caucasian guy forgot his name. Anyway, at the end of the 1 week I brought the car back to rent another car and there is another female name "Tye", she is the assistant manager greeted me with such an attitude. She even shouted a curse word in front of me while I was waiting in the office. That is no way for an employee in this business to behave. She is one of those who will bring the company down. However, I ran into Jodi-Ann later that day and let me tell you that girl is so professional. She apologized so many times for the experience I had to deal with and took really good care of me. I have rented from this location a couple of times now with no real problems except that the cars are never at full tank. I don't know why all the NYC locations are like that but it is what it is. Depending on the day the wait time can be a bit long but I keep coming back because their prices are usually the lowest. It's a quick ride on the Metro North and it's a half block from the Mount Vernon East station. So, I received an email after my rental with them saying that they take pride in their cleanliness and have taken proper measures because of Covid-19. Funny, considering the rental I picked up at the Mt. Vernon,  Wa location was filthy. First of all, there was nowhere to park my personal car at the enterprise location so I had to park at a nearby business. This was such a hassle because I was with my 2 year old daughter. I had to haul her heavy car seat 2 parking lots over while holding her. The person who assisted me with the rental kept trying to charge me more money and wouldn't accept the fact that I wanted to just keep my own insurance instead of the enterprise insurance. It took me telling her 3 times that I didn't want it. Also, she didn't even notice how dirty the inside of the rental was and she didn't give me a chance to look inside before handing me the keys and having me initial. When I drove the rental car over to where my personal car was to load it up, I noticed so much garbage that was in the trunk and also in the back seat. The outside of the car was filthy too which wasn't a huge deal to me until after I seen what the inside looked like. This tells me that they aren't cleaning the cars. If I wasn't in such a rush to head out of town that day, I would have took the rental back. I will definitely be sure to thoroughly check the car first next time. To make matters worse, I prepaid for gas and someone from their office called me this morning to tell me I was short on gas when I brought it back with 1/4 tank. She tried saying I wasn't getting my full deposit back.This is by far the worst experience with enterprise I've ever had. Not sure if I'll ever return to this location again. read more

I travel greatly from Montreal to Key west Fl and every where on the East coast via driving several trips monthly been renting here over 5 years since I left Hertz, previously I rated 5 stars after new staff took over well... Booked a 6+ seater 7 days for family event, everyone from all over flying to NYC had it all planned out. Nearly 1 year planning, going to Washington then Maryland Aquarium. Arrived 9:30 am 13/10/2016 sales associate had no cars waited about an hour at store no issue, got a car with a 100 mile limit per day she up it to 200 that was super cool. I asked her 200 miles per day? not total 1400 miles? she insisted "200 miles per day"several times and then SHE wrote it on the LEASE AGREEMENT. I have never heard of this im like ok fine as I was late for job done at 11:00 am late. Pick up everyone from Airport then I was planning return the truck for a car with unlimited miles sadly needed space of a truck so never returned . Cancelled all my trips instead did stuff around NYC with in a 1 way 100 mile range, there is NOTHING unless u like clubs,restaurants and malls very annoying. Being fall wanted to be out doors hiking etc. 5 years worth of plans and such wasted, trip to NIAGARA FALLS CANCELLED, MARYLAND AQUARIUM CANCELLED, ROCK CLIMBING UPSTATE CANCELLED, HOT AIR BALLOON CANCELLED, ADIRONDACK MOUNTAINS CANCELLED. called enterprise customer service they said i had 210 miles per day for 7 days or 1400 miles roughly for the whole time "NOT 200 MILES PER DAY" as i was TOLD EVEN TOLD ME I HAD TO RETURN CAR AT 12:30 pm AGREEMENT SAID 6:00PM Called my sales associate told her she was wrong its "NOT 200 MILES PER DAY" as she instructed and said several times, she insisted I was was mistaken, I then pointed out her writing "200 miles 1 day" on my sales agreement SHE then said sorry and rushed me off the PHONE. REALLY. I just explained my whole trip and family time gone ruined and over she was not even sincere then hanged up before i even concluded the conversation. SAD! I have another booking here but will cancel and use Hertz. Previous staff 5 stars loved them great service wonderful people best I customer service I have known. this new girl staff, have a dont care attitude. this not the place I love going too fact seems very ghetto now. read more

The customer service at this Enterprise location is abysmal. I had an issue with a rental charge a month ago and spoke to the branch manager, Dwight about it. He promised to review the issue and call me back. I NEVER heard from him again and have called the location back every single day for three weeks' straight, never able to get him on the phone again. I wait on hold for 40 minutes at a time (not an exaggeration) listening to the Enterprise promise to "treat customers right." Yaya Solomon, Vanessa Roriguez, and Dwight, the Mount Vernon Branch Manager, are the individuals who have all promised to help me, to call me back. NOT ONE of them has given me the courtesy of doing so. I will never rent a car from Enterprise again, and if there is anything I can do to steer others away, I will do so. I have wasted hours of my life trying to get some customer service and decency from this company. read more

I had great and friendly service here. The employees manage to make renting a car a fun experience with casual small talk, but they also get the job done. The only hiccup was that my girlfriend was scheduled to be given a ride to the office but there was a mix-up that delayed this for about 20 min; however, instead she was allowed to simply take a photo of her license to be authorized once we were already on our way. Not sure that would fly anywhere else. Also, the prices here are phenomenal relative to NYC. Very much worth the short Metro-North ride. read more
