It was time to return from Brooklyn, and I called Enterprise for a pickup. Though it was longer than expected (30 minutes vs 15 minutes), it was still better than finding a Lyft. The driver called when he arrived and a short drive later I was at the counter. The staff here is very friendly and helpful, and in a about 10 minutes I was in my SUV. So why only 3 stars? My SUV had less than half a tank of gas, and I had a 3.5 hour drive ahead of me (and since I was dropping it in Massachusetts, my reservation indicated that I would have a long drive). That meant I had to stop and get some gas along the way. Also the van smelled of cigarettes. That is especially annoying on a long drive. Whenever possible, we would open the windows to get some air in this tobacco laden vehicle. I had a somewhat similar experience on the origin of my trip, picking up a really dirty SUV at the Auburn, MA Enterprise Rent-A-Car, from a very friendly staff. read more

We rented a car from the Coney Island location of Enterprise last Saturday morning. It wasn't until we were 200 miles away from the city when it got dark that we saw that the headlights didn't work! They are closed from Saturday 6pm until Monday morning so there was no one to contact about the problem. They did give us a discount but you would think that a basic check would be done before renting out their cars. read more

My car was vandalized and was getting it fixed and my insurance allows me to rent a car at $30/day. I went to get a car there and they tried to up sell me with a $70/day Audi. I indicated I was not interested and I was told a Hyundai Tuscan was an option for $27/day. I took it. Come to find out there was a $17/day plus tax amount I was never told and my final bill from May 16th to June 9th was $1,689.84 and of course my insurance pays up to $900. So now I am stuck with $800 bill. When you call them to discuss this no one picks up. Do Not Go There!!! read more

May be the worst enterprise facilities in the USA. Tim Groysman is rude and incompetent branch manager. I came to facility drop off the car, and warned Tim, that I have symptoms of COVID-19. Initially he told me leave the keys and I am good to go, then he came back and asked me to park the car in spot where was tough to park. I have tried to do so, but this clown was shaking his head and do some weird mimic, instead of helping me. Days after my card was overcharged twice. I called customer service, and looks like I returned car with empty tank. This problem is easy to fix by disputing transaction, fortunately I have photos showing full tank of gas. read more

My review unfortunately it's about one service persons. Alexander Hernandez. Not about the rest of members but this is my experience. I came to rent thru my car insurance and after looking for the car he advise me that I couldn't get the car under same fee. I said no problem let me go to another rental car company because I need something else but not a problem that it was nothing personal. His passive aggressive answer was "how are you going to get there?" Meaning I left my car at car shop and they are not driving me to another place. You are stuck here! So I was like is ok. Return me to the car repair I'll figure it out from there. What kind of representative is that? I mean really enterprise rental associates are only polite as long as they are getting what they want? And as soon as we say no they turn into mean spirited people. Mind you I'm pregnant and noticeably pregnant for that matter and that's what he did, what would he have done to someone else. All he needed to say was I'm sorry we can't accommodate you but if you can't find anything else please keep us in mind. If I would have gone to budget or anywhere else and they would have said the same thing, I would have probably come back knowing they treated me better here regardless of the outcome. #costumerservice read more

The reason why I am giving a one star review is because they slam you with cleaning fees after you return the car. The facility has a cleaning station with vacuums and other equipment to clean the car so it's something they do anyways after you bring the car back. It's also worth mentioning that due to Covid they " should " sanitize the car interiors but apparently they pass that cost to the customer or they probably don't clean it. I rented a car from October 2nd to October 10th, I returned the car on the morning of October 10th on time and with a full tank of gas. After they inspected the car they found no problem and they released the $200 hold they put on my card. Two days later on October 12th they charged my card for $90.65 without explanation and without providing a receipt for it, I had to request one! I called the facility and the manager never returned my calls, never bothered to speak to me over the phone when I called. I sent an e-mail to the Assistant Manager, her name is Stephanie Perez and she never responded to my e-mail. THEY JUST DON"T CARE!!! After calling the Enterprise main number I found out it was for a cleaning fee. $90.65 to vacuum the interior of a car they are supposed to vacuum anyway is a ridiculous amount of money. I have uploaded my receipts as proof, DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE. They are passing on the customer the Covid cleaning fees without telling them. Rent somewhere else!! read more

I took an hr train ride during covid times to get there just to be told they have no cars and that the woman who called me to confirm before I boarded the train was "new". Never again. read more

This was my first time renting a car and I feel the process should be more pleasant. I reserved a car at this location about a week ago online. I reviewed all the charges but once I got there the sales guy said he's going to charge $500 on my card to have a deposit and quickly swiped my card. I would have liked to be told of this before hand when i spent time reserving online! We went outside to "pick out a car" they only had the lowest possible model in the intermediate range (though i feel it's really a compact). Since I wasn't about to shell out more money i had to ok that "pick". Now seeing as this was the only car i could choose, and i reserved a week ago, it would be ready no? Nope. He proceeded to keep us outside in the scorching heat as he made a show of vacuuming and dusting the interior. Lemme tell ya that car is filthy, there are toothpicks and hair bands from a previous driver, the dash is all dusty, and there's stuff on the floor. I kept finding more crap to the point where my bf went to check the trunk for a dead body :P All in all I will definitely be going with a different company next time I'm renting. read more

I did not like this store of Enterprise. I set a time for my car to be picked up and I had to wait 30 minutes after my scheduled pick-up just for them to send me to another location to get a car. Big waste of time! Why not just rent from the other store altogether. The employees there were also not very friendly while I was there and seemed to even get into an argument with someone else on the phone. I recommend any other store than this one. read more

The staff here is great, I got a quote over the phone for economy car, when I came to pick it up there was no price surprises Alexa gave me a quick explanation about the contract and she was even able to upgrade my car to a nice SUV with no additional cost. I actually had called the 800 enterprise number before my insurance company connected me directly with this location- 800 line was no help; said I wouldn't be able to get my discounted rental without a "code", couldn't help me with bringing my insurance on the rental...etc. whereas this location knew exactly how to get the process going and was very patient with my many questions. I am putting 4 stars because the rental I had was a little damaged. It had scratches all over, the USB port was broken, and weirdly enough water (?)would drip onto my foot on the brake whenever I was making a sharp turn (could've just been condensation) Overall I'd come back here for sure if I needed another rental read more

I ended up using this rental company because someone vandalized my car and my Geico insurance had me covered for my rentals until I got my car back. I have nothing but praise for this Enterprise branch. They picked me up from the auto body shop where I had my car being serviced and took care of my rental needs without any hasstle. Unfortunately I was moving that week and it was a real bad time to have this happen but Enterprise was very accomodating to my needs and I even got to switch up my car to the cargo van for our move. I wish I could comment on the rates but most of it was covered by my insurance. Although I still had to pay a little bit off pocket because I switched to the cargo van. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone looking for a car rental. read more

ThIs Enterprise on Coney Island is an absolute treasure . I don't normally write reviews but I had to on this business .. The manager Tim went above beyond to make sure I was happy with my car and the whole experience .. They even called another enterprise when I was in another borough to upgrade me on a different vehicle . They are very professional and the best customer service I honestly ever experienced . There was also a young lady named Stephaine who drove me to the body shop to get my car and even WAITED with me until she made sure my car was ready and I was comfortable ( she is awesome ) She even offered to pick me up and call her if I needed another rIde back .. it was a very family friendly experience ! I needs to get out of the city for a mich needed respite from the pandemic after having been holed up in Brooklyn since March. I have a paid rental through an insurance company and they would not even call the insurance company to confirm instead they were quick to brush me off saying well you have to pay for it. The lack of Customer Service and professionalism at this location is ridiculous! Especially for a company that prides themselves for have the Ultimate Customer Service standards. I called their location because my name and address were used fraudulently to rent a car that I received a bill for in the mail from Enterprise Rent-A-Car 2815 Coney Island Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11235-5015, but I live in NJ and never rented a car from this company!!!! I called to rectify this issue and was given the run-around by an employee Alex Hernandez who verified to me that they have a NY State drivers license with photo for the person who rented the car, but I don't have a NY State license and I've never lived in NY!!!!. And when I asked to speak to the Manager Nicholas Lala, (If this is his correct name, this is the name Alex provided) I was told by Alex Hernandez who once again answered the phone.. "the manager does not want to speak to you, he said he has nothing to say to you." A business manager refusing to speak with a customer reporting fraud within their company, why? unless he is aware this is going on in his location! Extremely poor Customer Service and if I could give 0 stars I would!!!! I've never done business with this or any other Enterprise Rent-A-Car and never will!!!! I have nothing but nice things to say about this location. Tim, Stewart, and Stephanie are truly amazing. I have been renting with Enterprise for over 4 years and I don't even want to buy a car, because they are always making sure I'm happy with the vehicle I rent. You can't buy customer service like that anywhere. If your looking to rent a vehicle whether it's your first time or not, I suggest you go to this location and see how wonderful they truly are. The vehicles are cleaned not only during COVID-19, but all year long. The quality of the vehicles are wonderful. If you have any questions about their vehicles they have the knowledge to answer. its no wonder the bbb gives this company an f rating!!! they are very unprofessional and disorganized but thats not even the half of it. the people that work there lie to the customers and they even lie to the insurance companies!!! after waiting 9 days, it was today that finally they told my wife and the insurance company that they had a car ready but we must be there within 30 minutes. guess what? i showed up in 20 minutes and they stated that they gave the car to someone else already!!! once they saw that i was upset they tried to cover there tracks. so the people tell me "well if you want we can put you in a mini van but it will cost you $26 more perday above what the insurance company is paying us. i knew they were bluffing so i told them "okay i will take that and pay out of pocket" they then started getting flustered (cause they never really had the car to begin with and just thought i would not take the mini van so they offered it) the manager then comes to me and states that there is a recall on the mini van so i actually cant have it!!! i simply asked them to show me the recal notice or at least give me the year and make of the car so i could verify online that it was really a recall issue. not only did they refuse to provide that info to me but they answered me saying "we feel threatened and uncomfortable with you and we are gonna have to ask you to leave" all of this because i caught them in a lie and they could not get out of the situation. who wants to be caught in a lie???? they then called 911 and asked for the police to come and have me removed!!! everyone i spoke to told me that this location is actually the worst ever!!! its no wonder!!! i really do love enterprise but not this location and for sure not these workers!!! stay far away!!!! read more

This Enterprise is a nightmare. Staff is unorganized and cars are a mess. I was given a rental that must have never been looked at. It was a volts wagon, and when I took it off the lot everything seemed okay. Only to find that it was low on coolant (the light turned on). Since it was Saturday afternoon and the location was now closed I couldn't tell anyone about the car. I had to buy coolant for the car and then while I started driving the low tire pressure came on. I guess at this location they don't check any of these things?? Nonetheless, they did reimburse me for the coolant but they didn't seem in the least concerned about their bad service and low maintained on these cars. I will never go back to this location. Car was downsized from intermediate to compact. Passenger seat's back could not be moved. Rented with chip in glass on bottom of passenger side windshield that was hidden by bead of water all glass was wet - car had been washed. Pick-up and drop off condition had been video recorded IT WAS A DANGEROUS CAR - while driving out to LI at nite the windshield wipers only smeared the misty rain and windshield washer fluid was empty. Next AM renting agent refused to exchange car and associate Alexis reported I was not entitled to emergency roadside repair. She suggested I do the repairs and be reimbursed or call AAA .I cleaned the inside and outside of the windshield and washed the wiper blades but luckily it dd not rain while we were using it for rest of the week. No mention of chip upon turning it in. read more

This branch was great, the staff was very helpful and patient, good selection of cars. I ended up renting a red FIAT for the weekend and had a good experience. There were no problems with the car. I got the car with almost empty tank, I filled it up with $30 of gas, when I came to return the car I mentioned it to the sales associate and he credited my bill. Excellent manager!! Excellent staff!! I rented a Chevy suburban from this location for 10 days. When I got into the car it was clean and still had that new car smell. I was working with the manager Alex and he handled everything for me. He worked with Geico on my behalf and the body shop. I would recommend this location to anyone that wants to rent in the future.
