A representative, Josh, was "on-site" at the auto body where we were having our car repaired after an accident. Although a reservation had been made the day before, when we arrived to the auto body location, the rental car was not there and we had to wait---why? 10 minutes later, the car arrived. 2018 Black Toyota Corolla. Scratches on the front, the back, the sides - everywhere you looked. 2018?? It was dirty on the exterior although it looked like someone might have splashed it with a hose to make it appear like it had just been washed. There were "splash" stains on the driver's side as if someone had tossed a drink on it. The inside was even worse. There was an overpowering smell of iced coffee - like a Venti had been spilled in the inside - it was NAUSEATING. The seats in the front and back were stained - EW. It just gave the impression that someone was living - no, squatting - in the car. It was disgusting. We immediately told "Josh" how unhappy we were with the car. His response "it's all we've got". He said we could try to go to the office on Monday and exchange it but he "didn't know". Why should WE have been inconvenienced because they can't keep the car clean? We decided to just use it in an emergency. We literally maybe put 20 miles on the car and had it for a week. When "Andrew" called me from their Hylan Boulevard location on Wednesday to tell me that we had to return the car the next day. I gave him an earful about the vehicle. He apologized profusely and said that I should have called and let them know. I told him that I had told the representative at the time we obtained the car but he didn't seem concerned enough to relay our thoughts to management. "Andrew" offered to switch the car for another -- why?? Too little too late. He made it a point to say that they "don't do business that way" (i.e., give out dirty cars). I'm not convinced. Car was returned this past Friday, 4/6. As of yesterday, my deposit had still not gone back into my account. I had to call Enterprise and pursue the issue. Spoke to Andrew again who didn't know why the deposit was not credited back to me at the time but assured me he had gone ahead and issued the credit. As of this morning, 4/11, deposit still not reflected in my account. I'll give it until tomorrow; sometimes these things take 48 hours. Isn't it amazing how quickly they take the money, give you very little in return, THEN take forever to give you back the money? Andrew apologized and offered a free upgrade the next time we need a rental. I think I'd rather just walk. read more

This is a great group of people at this location. I reserved a car and went to pick it up on Saturday morning. It was crowded, people dropping in to ask about cars, but no cars were available and returns were running late. They were calling other locations trying to find cars. It seemed like a high pressure situation but they were incredibly gracious and kept their cool. This is NYC and customer service isn't always, um...nice. This was a pleasant experience. read more

Had to rent a car recently for a family trip (as my car only fits 4) and we wanted to rent a minivan. I spoke to someone named stephanie and she said that they had a minivan on site so I booked.when I called back the next day they inquiring about something else, good thing I did, because they had no record of the reservation, the deposit, or the phone call and they also said there was no one named Stephanie working. They insisted I must have called a different enterprise but I dialed directly from their website. Anyway after the confusion they were actually able to get me into a larger premium SUV for the same rate as the minivan would have been so in the end they were able to do the right thing. read more

Scam artist be aware of there sales tactics after getting into a horrific accident you get directed by your insurance company to use these guys there good very professional you take your insurance recommendation and call them and you get that for 50.00 a day you can only get a compact car we can up size you to a higher class for 15 a day extra I rented with the same people couple months back and I got a hyndai sonata which is not a company car for 28.00 a day through insurance as well now for 50 a day there trying to say I'm getting something more smaller than that and it's not getting covered scam artist and the unprofessional sales tactics guys name is ADAM I spoke with enterprise corporate office and they were in disbelief never again read more

I called to rent a Santa Fe to drive my daughter up to college, when I got there, they gave me a Chevy traverse, even better with a super huge trunk, had a problem with the GPS charger which they took 50 dollars off of the rental price for the inconvenience and a free upgrade next time I rent from them. The manager Cleveland was just very friendly and accommodating . This is the way customer service should be. Will definitely be back to rent from them again read more

Incompetent employees who basically lie to avoid real work or consequences, which then makes it look like everything is at the fault of the customer. Awful customer service, so don't expect an apology or anything done to fix your experience. You either deal with it or don't use them - they could not care less. Customer service was good, people who work there are friendly. They have a very low/poor selection of cars to chose from when renting. I normally drive a SUV, but the only car they had available was a small car. I had to fill up the car almost every other day with gas because it burned so much, the windshield wipers needed to be replaced and the inside of the windows were cleaned with a dirty rag. When it rained, you could see all the dirty streak marks where someone tried to clean the inside of the Windows, but they didn't quite get the job done. This was the second car I rented from this place where the windows were dirty. I reported the issues with the car, and watched the staff immediately rent it to a person who came in after me. There wasn't any interest in correcting the issues with the car before re-renting it. Like most businesses, it's all about making money - not quality. While in the office, I needed to use the rest room. I saw cleaner restrooms in the Port Authority Bus Terminal. OMG. The sink was black with dirt, it was obvious the floor and toilette were hardly ever cleaned. I can't remember seeing a public bathroom anywhere I have traveled both domestically and internationally in the last 10 years that looked as dirty & awful. I was afraid I'd walk out of the bathroom with some kind of disease. I hope I don't need to rent a car again from there. It's obvious the staff are trying, but I doubt the Management Leadership and direction at that location have their finger on the pulse of reality. read more

Horrible. I definitely would not recommend this place to anyone. I've been here once and it was certainly my last. I had an incident with my car a year back and I needed to give it to a shop to get it fixed for a couple of weeks. So because I can't really get around anywhere without a car I decided to rent one. And enterprise seemed to be the most convenient because it was in fact closer to my house. Before I even bothered going there I called up first to see if they had the car I wanted for the price that was convenient for me, and on the phone they said that they did have It and I should come in. As soon as they said that I came over probably within the next hour or so ready to pick up my car and be on my way. But was that the case? Nope. I had to wait about an hour for someone to help me which wasn't the worst part. Once I came up to the worker I asked for the Honda that I had asked for over the phone, instead he said that they didn't have it and offered me the Chevy impala, with no other options i agreed to the car and told him about the insurance policy and he assured me that everything was covered with no additional fees. A month after my car was fixed and was ready to be picked up from the shop i came back to enterprise to return the car. Expecting to just drop off the car and be on my way i had a very unpleasant surprise. The worker reached over and handed me a bill which charged me $800 out of pocket! I began to argue (obviously) because it was supposed to be free! Not only did he have an attitude but then he called the assistant manager over, Ryan Hennessey who began to explain to me that he had mentioned to be about the out of pocket insurance (which he did not). He then said it was posted on their website however in such small letters that no one could make out and he didn't even mention it to me when i got the car! I obviously paid but i definitely regret coming here to rent a car. Service is bad, and the way the worker AND the assistant manager went about the situation was completely uncalled for and unprofessional. So not only did I pay an extra $800 for absolutely no reason, I was also directly lied to and accused of being a liar. I never recommend this place to anybody that asks, definitely not worth it, don't go here you will just get scammed for your money! read more

Have used this location quite a few times over the years. Not too much different then most car rental spots with the exception of the help. Always courteous, friendly and knowledgeable. I would lighten up on the selling pitch for "aftermarket" services such as insurances etc. Cars are on par with anyone else and place itself is normal. Will definitely continue to use them when needed. read more

I haven't had to rent a car in years, but I just started a new job and this Enterprise is very close to where I live. I really have to give Andrew and the team a glowing review. What a great staff! Friendly, patient and very understanding - I was having a problem with my new corporate card (it was my first time using it) and it was making me late for my first business trip. I was very stressed out, but Andrew & his co-workers could not have been nicer about it. Andrew even gassed up my car while I worked it out with the card company over the phone. When I returned the car, it was terrible weather - an awful rainstorm. In my haste to get the car back I didn't fill the tank (I had used 3 gallons). They could've made me go back out in horrible weather to refill it, but they extended compassion and let me just pay my bill and get on my (long) commute to work. I will need to travel regularly in my new role and I feel very good about giving my business to this location again and again for future trips. I will start this by saying I originally had a pick up date on Friday that I missed due to traffic. I called early Saturday morning to see if something would be available for me and I was told to wait and check back around noon when other guests would be returning cars. Due to the fact that I am under 25 I was told I could not rent vehicles of a certain size for "liability" reasons but I was encouraged to come and wait for a smaller vehicle to be returned. I paid 20 bucks for cab fair to arrive 30 minutes before closing only to find nothing but large vehicles that I was not allowed to upgrade to. While the staff was pleasant about it (hence the second star) they told me I could not rent from them and to contact their sister store. The other store, who had smaller cars, rescheduled my pick up for the following morning due to the fact they were also closing at 1pm. But, I am confused as to why they wouldn't send me there instead? I called BEFORE arriving to see if they were expecting smaller vehicles and I was told there was no gauntee. Again, I can understand this. But a simple step of initiative from the staff, or them telling me to contact the other store myself BEFORE I took my trip could have saved me cab fare and the HOUR walk/train/bus commute back to my grandmothers. read more

I called many times for help on a long-term rental, and every time they were going to look into it and give me a call back. Guess how many times I got a call back for calling 4 separate days? None. Also went in and no one could help be because they couldn't figure it out. So I drove an hour to the office in JFK where they took care of my issue in 5 minutes, and did a great job. read more

I needed a mini van to accommodate five adults comfortably for a trip from NY to Chicago. I called several car rental companies about one month prior to my trip to compare prices. Enterprise was the only one who could provide me with a mini van. Their price was also very good. I called a week later to confirm the price and then stopped in about three weeks before to go over the pick up time, any optional costs, etc. Toni helped me and even said she would be sure to be there the morning that I was to pick up the car to help the process go smoothly. The day that I picked up the van, she said that she had "saved" the van for me, because others had come in and wanted to rent it from the lot. The price was good, the staff was professional and the car was in great working condition. All in all - a great experience from Enterprise. read more

When we first arrived we realized the car was too small for a long trip and we asked for another car and the kid tells us "the paperwork is done already we can't change it". , to further ruin our experience The car they gave us a car has a service engine soon light on and the front end is rattling. Over the past two months, I have used Enterprise on three separate occasions due to recurring issues with my personal vehicle. I was extremely satisfied with the level of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency of all the members of the Enterprise team. On one occasion, when returning a rental, one of the employees was kind enough to double check I had taken all of my belongings out of the car.
