Awesome rental experience and Caroline was so friendly! Definitely recommend this rental location!!

I rented from this agency last month for the second or third time and it'll likely be my last. Check your rental agreement carefully, Folks. If you want to return the car at the end of the weekend - They're closed - and better yet? They charge you until they open again Monday morning at 8:30am! (read that again!) When I realized this, I asked about returning the car to the airport instead Sunday afternoon, as I was flying out that evening from Portland, but that would be an an additional charge in excess of $100. When Marco called me Monday afternoon to ask me how everything went, I expressed my dissatifaction again with being charged for an additional day even though the car had been returned the 15 hours earlier the previous day. He told me he'd comp my rental by noting the earlier return day, which he implied meant he'd not charge me the time after which the car had been returned. When I got my bill, there was no credit given, even though that was the distinct impression I got from Marco when we spoke. When I called them just now, Shannon not only supported that I was comped the time, but not the charges, that they could have charged me MORE by charging me $30/hour during that Sunday afternoon. YEAH - no thanks, Brunswick Enterprise. I won't be darkening your door any time soon. My business will go else where, where customers are treated with fidelity. Vic, Adam, and Jared went out of their way to help me secure transportation for work after I hit a deer with my own car. I did not miss any work because of their quick service and skill in finding me a rental! Additionally, they were very familiar with how my insurance company would cover me in this situation. Booked a car online 8/20, 2pm, then called the Brunswick office to request a pickup. Pleasant guy answered and informed me that "unfortunately, that car isn't here right now, it's coming in tonight though. Would it be possible to pick you up first thing tomorrow morning, 8:30am?" I said okay, then moved my next morning's appointments up to begin at 10am. 8/21, 9am: No Enterprise ride yet, I'm getting a bit concerned so I call Brunswick. Laura answers, and tells me that" no one wrote down anything about us doing a pickup this morning, we don't even have anyone available for that here today", then can't even find my reservation. She finds it and informs me that "we don't have any cars available anyway, because people didn't bring them back". I said :So what am I supposed to do now? I moved appointments after being assured there'd be a ride to a car, and basically he lied to me?? "Well he didn't really lie to you, he was just going with the information he had at the time. We're borrowing cars from other places now, but the only thing I can offer you is a cargo van." Since I'm just past knee surgery, I told her that wasn't an option, plus the gas would be outrageous, so of course, no way. Look, I get that there's always a possibility that the reservations will overlap, I've been renting cars for business and vacation travel forever. The bigger issue here is the complete lack of both internal communication there and with me(say, the guy not informing her that he'd promised to pick me up that morning, and at least giving me a heads up that they weren't going to have a car early in the day so that I could rearrange appointments.. although that part would have required them to have recognized my reservation out in front of the "9 am's" they'd already ordered cars for...). She also just appeared not to care about any of it, giving the impression that this is business as usual for them. What makes this even more difficult is that when you don't know the area(I just moved here recently)Enterprise is the only option between here and Portland via online search. Fortunately for me, I searched further and found that Lee Toyota in Topsham does rentals, it's just not advertised as well as Enterprise. Guess what? Not only were they extremely customer friendly, but they got me right into a car for $19.95/day... oh yeah, Enterprise's daily price for an intermediate car? $92/day, obviously "summer tourist" highway robbery fees. 1star for Enterprise in Brunswick, because it wasn't possible to give them the zero stars they deserved. read more

I go here whenever I need a rental car near home, which has been 3 times in the past 4 months. They're really busy from the time the doors open at 8am, but it's not been a long wait to get service. The staff is easy to deal with and they get you on your way quickly. The quality of the cars has varied a lot. When I complained about one, the next one was much better. They don't gas up the cars so you're supposed to bring it back with the fuel as same level...not easy to do. I wish they opened an hour earlier. I also use Enterprise at various airports and service has been good everywhere. read more

Great service, we changed what kind of car we wanted a few times and no issues doing so. Car was clean and worked great. They put a hold on our funds, but processed the correct amount in a very timely manner. Will definitely use them again and have used them in the past. read more

I have been an Enterprise user for a long time. While we do not rent vehicles often, Enterprise stands out as the most responsive and easiest to work with. I almost always set up my rental in person at our local Enterprise office, whether for the occasional local use or for renting elsewhere when traveling. The Brunswick staff make it easy. When arriving at an out of town pick-up, everything is always set and accurate. read more

Hello..I'm am writing this together with my mom who an 82yr. old woman who recently rented 2013 Nissan Versa. Unfortunately we both noticed a crack in the winshield before she returned it. Being honest & upfront she told them about it, " No worries It's covered. " She was told by one of their employee's as she stood in front of them. Then they had called her many days later saying, " Sorry it wasn't covered. " So they explained they would be billing her credit card $200. She eventually recieved a credit card statement showing they had charged $206 which had also stated an additional charge for driving it 78 miles.OMG...she was the only driver driving it locally here in Topsham so that's impossible. Just a terrible experience I must share with you all which I'm writing in my mom's defense. Because of her age she's unable to type in the words sadly and is here with me now comfirming this review of her experience. Sadly the people were unwilling to do anything about it for her. read more
