There were multiple different addresses provided between the initial rental agreement and the pickup confirmation email, and the address hyperlink in the confirmation pointed to yet another location. Once we arrived, the map pin also didn't drop exactly where the vehicle was, so finding the Jeep became a frustrating process. When we finally located the car, the online web app wouldn't unlock it and we had to call for someone to manually unlock the vehicle. The phone system itself was difficult to navigate, it relied heavily on voice prompts and repeatedly went silent before connecting me to a live person. Communication was also inconsistent. Texts to the messaging number went unanswered, and emails were never responded to. I probably could have eventually gotten help by calling again, but after repeatedly going through the automated system it became exhausting. The Jeep itself was mostly fine, but the tire tread was very worn down, and one of the rear tires needed air twice during the week because of low tire pressure. Nothing completely ruined the trip, but the overall experience felt unreliable and stressful at times. If I weren't fairly resourceful and persistent, I could see this being a much bigger issue for other travelers.

They communicate constantly. I didn't wait for more than two minutes when they showed up with the car and the keys were handed over to me and I was on my way. I kept the first Chrysler Pacifica, which was absolutely perfect brand new and spotless for one week with my family. After my family returned to the US I changed cars to a Honda pilot and that changeover was also seamless. The Honda pilot was brand new spotlessly clean, and performed flawlessly. The Team at Black tie is great. I have a large family and this service made my trip even better. Puerto Rico is great and Black Tie Car Rental is awesome. I highly recommend them to everyone and I'm quite sure that the cost was comparable to the long, hot confusing rental car agencies around Luis Munoz International Airport. However, my Wife was able to get great intel on using Beep Beep Jeep. My Wife did a great job because this whole experience set up our vacation properly. From pickup to drop off. Well I rented a Willy's jeep. I ended up adding chairs, umbrella and even birthday surprise for my Wife. They provided a cake, drinks and snacks for my Wife's Birthday celebration, it was a very nice touch and appreciated. The equipment they provided came in handy. You do want to add on the equipment to your package. You'll soon realize it's a must. Since there are so many beaches, you'll have the choice on where to setup vs waiting for places to open to rent chairs or umbrellas. Trust, you'll be happy adding it to your packages. Also please get their insurance as well. You'll understand once you're there in Puerto Rico driving. Pick up, was easier than expected. Especially being our first time in Puerto Rico. They contact you the week of your reservation. Then you'll be contacted to where to meet once you land. I was handed the keys and loaded up and then went on our way. The jeep was fun to drive. Driving in Puerto Rico it is necessary to have an SUV or Jeep. It makes life easier navigating and parking with a Jeep vs any other vehicle. Drop off was a breeze. We kept in contact who dropped off our vehicle. We parked in a garage and followed instructions on how to notify Beep Beep Jeep with return of vehicle. Take pictures. The company purchases a spot in the parking garage and puts you on an Easter egg hunt to find it. Sometimes I can't even find my own car in airports let alone hunting for a rental following a treasure map with an X marks the spot. We presumed this was in the rental car area along with the other companies. Nope! They never heard of Beep Beep. Dealing with these guys was like dealing with a couple of hustlers on a street corner. I let them know we'd just see them next time now that we knew the process. They say can't return the money and would give us a credit. I am shocked there are not more negative reviews. The whole thing felt very scammy.
