Never in a million years would I ever expect a place to decline the most basic form of payment such as a debit card or cash. The customer service was also pretty rude towards my father also. highly disappointed in this company and will advise to not bring your business to them. luckily we were able to get him on a flight to GA 12 hours later.

Upon pickup, they said they do not have one available for me. However, they said they do have a (2) wheel dolly I could use. I said I would prefer a (4) wheel dolly. They asked what vehicle i would be towing and upon presenting them with that information they informed me my vehicle would be just fine. After hours of loading my belongings into the truck I was on schedule to depart at 8am. The last thing I had to do was load my vehicle onto the dolly. I drive my car up onto the dolly with no issue but as I back up to reposition the wheels, the front of my car catches on the dolly and tears off my front bumper. I call the Budget Truck branch back and tell them what happened. The same man I spoke with yesterday chuckles and says, "Yeah I figured that would happen. I haven't seen one car that didn't catch on a two-wheeled dolly." He goes on to tell me I am at fault because cars are meant to be driven, not towed. I call customer service to see if there is anything that can be done to remedy the situation. After being bounced around to numerous departments, someone tells me to sit tight and they will make something happen. I wait for 6 hours... Afterwards, I call back and ask what the status update is. They tell me someone is en route to pick up the (2) wheel dolly, but I will have to pick up the (4) wheel dolly myself, which is located 2 and a half hours out of my way. I have a 12 hour trip I was supposed to begin 6 hours prior! I said I would like it delivered to me because I cannot leave my car here and feel it is unfair for me to pay for gas and waste any more of my time for an error caused by Budget Truck's incompetence. I was then told to contact them directly and take it up with them. I call the place that "had my equipment request" and I ask how we can remedy the situation. I get placed on hold. When the man comes back, he asks if I am a military service member. I say yes and get placed on hold again. When he comes back he simply says, "No, you have to pick it up yourself." I make numerous phone calls to customer service, often times being bounced to other departments. One gentleman pretended he could not hear me but only said so immediately after I was done telling my story. Meanwhile, someone shows up and takes the (2) wheeled dolly and comments that my wife and I look like we are in a sad situation. Finally, someone says they will call back with a solution in less than 2 hours (it's been over 2 hours). I am outraged because of the time and money wasted on what should have been a simple move. Budget Truck is extremely inadequate in their operations and customer service. They have fallen well short of what I imagine it's creator originally envisioned and well short of their competition.
