I rented a 2024 Ford edge from the East 14th and Euclid location through my insurance company... Everyone is here is so nice and decent to work with! Well, I had a problem with the Ford edge and the battery was dead and had to be towed away, everything was absolutely perfect in getting everything resolved for me! The manager there was working by himself yet took time out to help my husband try to get a new battery put in the key fob to see if that would solve the issue... When it didn't we called the emergency roadside service and they dispatched a tow truck immediately to my house... That was Westside Tow pros who handled the unlock and taking the car to the enterprise location where they do the repairs... This is where enterprise goes the extra mile for you... the manager called me about 8 AM this morning to ask me how everything went... And I let him know what happened... He apologized that the Ford failed me, and then said that he had entered it in as the toe ending yesterday instead of today, and that he would waive any charges because I was unable to take the car to have it washed and vacuumed and filled up before it was returned... So that in itself saved me at least 50 bucks! It also saved my insurance company six days in rental charges because I found a car of my choice yesterday as well! So my insurance company is not having to pay as much and I didn't have any extra charges to pay and everyone was professional, kind, and courteous!! I am in Iowa for the summer in my RV and I don't tow a car. I used this location for many short term rentals of 3-4 days as it was close to where I am staying. Staff is professional. Most of the time I was picked up at the time I requested, the only exception is 20 minutes late, that's not bad. Right before Labor Day, the rates were kind of " jacked up." I am thinking it was a corporate decision and not a local one. I still took a rental as I like the "we pick you up" policy. I can understand jacking up the rates in major tourist areas, but, my observation is that Labor Day in Iowa is NOT a major tourist attraction. But again, the staff are professional, and rentals generally went smooth (except for one car that had a low tire pressure problem). read more

This is my goto location in Des Moines for a rental car. The staff is ALWAYS nice and professional. I usually have to get picked up or dropped off and the employee who does the rides is prompt and holds a great conversation. There are times when I have to wait because they are busy, but it is rare. The team at this location is amazing and makes sure you are happy with your rental. read more

If customer service is important to you this place has NONE. They will say that they will pick you up in 15 minutes and it will be 1.5 hours! This has happened several times to my customers who needed a car. (I own an auto repair business) They are very disorganized and just seem like they couldn't care less if they had any customers. I rented a box truck for my move to the new house last year and everything with the rental went smooth. The staff members were very professional and friendly. The price for the rental was fair. I would definitely come back to this location if I need a box truck again. read more

Don't leave anything in the car, they will call you to tell you they gave it then somehow lose it. We were told they had our iPad, went in to get it and it magically disappeared. Like pulling teeth trying to get a refund on it. read more

my wife rented a car with enterprise . if you rent a car with them take pic. of the car on your cell phone at the time of rent . and after rented . because they can blame you for damages. she rent it they blamed her for a cracked windshield . That was there before she rented it . they sent her a bill. I ask to see pic.s of it they have not sent a pic. of the windshield. I went back to the place she rented it at to ask for pic.s they said they could not , all so that there to busy . read more

Customer service?? No. I was in need of a rental van, so I went online to the Enterprise website and checked availability at this location. The website told me that they had a van available, so I went ahead and reserved it online. The website gave me a confirmation number. A short while later a woman from this location called me and told me that they don't have vans at this location, that they only have them in the Downtown and Merle Hay Rd. locations. She did not offer to try to find me a van, only telling me that she would cancel my reservation and I'd have to call the other locations myself. I then called the Enterprise number and talked to a reservation specialist. He checked availability at the downtown Des Moines location and told me that they had vans available. I had him go ahead and reserve one for me, also giving me a new confirmation number. A short time after that a representative from THAT location called me and told me that all of his vans are booked. STRIKE TWO. He did offer to call around the Des Moines area to find me a van, and that he would call me back. I never heard from him again!!! Very poor customer service. If they don't have vans available, why let you reserve one and give you a confirmation number? read more

The service is very poor. The staff found it funny they didn't have a car and didn't offer to check one of their other locations. While they advertise picking you up, they not only are not picking me up, they treat you like your lucky to get a car. I was very taken back by their unhelpful attitude at two of their locations. If I didn't have to go through Enterprise because of my insurance agent, I would have shopped elsewhere. read more
