The worst location I have ever visited. Marvin was an unprofessional and rude associate. He should not be in customer service and Enterprise should be ashamed to have people like him represent their company. The first car they gave me had no A/C, bad brakes, and was filthy. The second car they gave me was also dirty. My insurance company chose Enterprise as the vendor they work with. I would not have chosen them or continued to deal with them after my encounters with Marvin. This location also has a limited selection of vehicles available. I would not recommend. read more

Have rented several cars from this facility. Vehicle was always ready. Mr. Green and his team have always been courteous and knowledgeable. Enterprise has been very good to work with for the 2 times that I needed them. The "we pick you up" offering is a great and needed feature at times. And to top it off, if you happen to be lucky enough to deal with David at the Ellicott City, MD location, you will be truly blessed. David is friendly, pleasant and he goes above to work all issues to resolution in the customer's favor. I made a reservation on March 13, 2017 for a Luxury vehicle. The pick up date & time was for 8 am Friday May 19th. I called the Ellicott City branch (# 1805) about noon today (May 18th) to confirm and was told the car is not available! When I asked the Branch Manager what options were available, he initially had none. He then asked about an SUV and I declined. I also asked about having the vehicle sent in from another location. He said he would check or I could call the BWI Airport location. I explained that I was working and that's why I made a reservation 2 months in advance because I knew I wouldn't have time to look for a car. When I informed my spouse they started looking for an alternative and found a Luxury vehicle (Cadillac) at Enterprise at BWI Airport! They wouldn't accept my Ellicott City reservation and wanted to charge me all most $50/day more! Why couldn't Enterprise send this car to Ellicott City or honor my reservation? I believe this is bad business! I did my part as a consumer but Enterprise didn't do it's part as a reputable Business! I give this review 1 star because the representative who made it was awesome! David, the store manager, is amazing. He is very polite and goes out of his way to help. I was looking for 8 passenger vehicle this weekend. Unfortunately, initially he only had 7 passenger van available. However, on the day of pick up he was able to locate 8 passenger van for me. Upgrade went very smoothly. The whole experience of picking up the van was swift, very pleasant, and professional. Returning the van was also super easy. I was impressed with David's great customer service skills. While using a rental through the Ellicott City location I was conned into getting their almost $20 a day insurance coverage. Being told they do not work through insurance companies and will directly go after me (which was a boldfaced lie) I opted into their coverage. DO NOT EVER accept their coverage when using a rental for a car accident, your insurance company will cover any accidents. read more

Do not rent from here. I made my reservation 5 days in advance, and I specifically went through enterprise because they have an agent who sits at Miller brothers where I was dropping off my vehicle for repairs. Since this was the case, enterprise should assume you will be using the rental until your car is repaired. After I dropped off my vehicle I met with the enterprise agent. He was nice enough, but I was frustrated to discover the type of vehicle I had made a reservation for was not available. Then I was asked to put down a hold larger than necessary (I've rented vehicles at this same exact location before). The agent was nice enough to meet my requirement of the proper hold amount, gave me the keys and run down of the vehicle and I was on my way. Well the temperatures dropped vastly that evening, so the next day when I got into my rental the tire pressure monitor was going off non-stop. I immediately drove back to the pick-up location because not being familiar with the vehicle, the last thing I needed was a tire blowing out. First I was told I needed to drive it to another enterprise location, so I did. Once I got there, when one gentleman started to help me, another one jumped up from behind his desk and went into interrogation mode: "Well this has been happening since last night? Well I can swap out vehicles but I'll need it back by Friday. How long do you need the vehicle?" One, it is not my problem. I made a reservation in advance, to rent vehicle until mine is repaired. Not only was he rude, but attempted to intimidate me into a situation more convenient for him. A few hours later after I had left with a new vehicle, enterprise called me, no voicemail. A day later, the same gentleman who had been extremely rude, by the name of Robbie, called me again to ask when I was bringing the vehicle back. Unbelievable. I was honestly surprised when the hold was returned to my card a day after dropping off. I never want to deal with this location again. read more

I would go to Budget. I had the worst experience. First and foremost they would not rent me a car. My credit card would not go through their system and they said they could not run it again for 24 hours. I asked them to deduct the full value of the car from my checking acct and when the car returned to put it back in my acct. They would not. I had 2 debit cards, I had my license, I had a utility bill proving my address, I had plenty and I had enough in my bank about to buy the car. They were rude, treated me like 3rd class citizen, I had to wait an hour have my wife drive from work to get me. They offered no options and neither did their regional manager. The next morning I walked into budget, gave them a debit card and left with a car in 10 min. They lost a client and I'll never use enterprise anywhere anytime in the future. read more

My fiance rented from Ellicott City location, Mercedes car had NO GAS in it when it was handed to him, and later he discovered window would not roll completely up. I phoned customer services 24 hour service last night, and she told me they could send him over to the CATONSVILLE office to get a similar car and get him on the road. When he went to Catonsville, no cars on lot......they directed him to BWI airport to get a similar car. BWI location gave him a minivan, and right now I am on the phone to the Ellicott City office to find out how they are going to follow up with him with regards to, this whole mess. It's easy to rate a company when they treat their customers in a professional manner, but let's see how Enterprise can treat a customer when their service to him went downhill from the Ellicott City Office to 24 hour Customer Service desk to Catonsville Office to BWI Airport office....all because they didn't check that the initial car was functioning properly and was filled with gas. I'm going to give them a chance to reach out to him with some compensation, and I hope to come back here and write a final review over the next few days.....stating that when Enterprise makes mistakes they do the right thing, and they compensate their customers fully for situations that go completely wrong. read more

I did not like the way I was treated by staff at this location. Go to the one down on 40 in Catonsville. After the Acura Takata Airbag recall, I was asked to pick up a rental from this location. The staff was not courteous or professional. He gave me a Sonata and said that's all I can get (no choices or options to come back another day to pick up an Altima/Camry or something comparable). He said with a $35 that Acura is paying Enterprise I'm eligible for a Toyota Corolla or Nissan Versa. It seemed he was doing me a favor by renting me a car. Outright garbage service. Staff here need to be trained! My knee kept hitting the side joint and I wanted a replacement car, after calling this branch they kept saying they had no car and were not helpful at all. I know you can put into the system a specific car, and allow me to came back in a few days to execute the request. But this location and their stuff are just deceitful. Avoid! read more

We had made a reservation with this location almost a week in advance. My husband was in a car acvident the day before we left on vacation. We reserved a car for the day afyer we were to arrive home. My husband reconfirmed yesterday that the car would be available at 10 am. We got there at 10 and my husband walked in the office and they asked if they could help him. He told them he had a reservation. He said they all had a "oh crap" look on their face. They had no cars on the lot. Apparently, there were a few collisons this morning and they had no cars available, but some cars (not the size we reserved) were expected to be in, in about 20-30 mins. I understand accidents happen, what I don't understand is why didn't they call and let us know to come at a later time. When my husband came out and told me we had to wait I was irritated. We had gotten back late last night from the west coast, I would of loved an extra hour of sleep. I went in and asked the staff if they had my husband''s phone number, the gal nodded, yes. She didn't even verbally respond!!. I told her it would have been common courtesy to give us a call to let us know we didnt need to be there at 10. Again, she nodded in agreement amd I walked out. We ended up waiting for 40 minutes because they had to clean the car. The Manager came out to me to apologize and make excuses, which I accepted graciously but I reiterated that the customer service was lacking. read more
