when booking a rental, we chose a mini van because we were driving from Florida to Illinois with my deceased mothers belongings, which is why we chose such a large vehicle. on our way to the airport, the day before our scheduled rental, deposit paid, they called to say they no longer had a van available. We were extremely disappointed and requested they figure this out on their end. they provided a ford expedition at the same price of the van. they also discounted the prepaid gas price after the trip for the headache it all caused. read more

I was triple charged for a one day rental. Reached out to corporate twice. Zero response for six days. Until I left a negative review on google. They told me to contact them at "care@enterprise.com" That's hilarious. Try to reach them using that info and you'll see what I mean. I've read some pretty negative reviews about this store and I wanted to give a positive review. I was scheduled for pick up at 11. I got there at 10 and Elise greeted me with a smile. She found my reservation immediately and even gave me choice of cars. The check in was quick and easy. She walked me around the car and explained everything about the agreement. She gave me the store number and Greg's name if we had any trouble on our trip. Very pleasant. Service was amazing and car is clean and fresh as expected! 5 stars all around!!! read more

I was exposed to the worst customer service by a guy at the this Enterprise office. RUDE and ARROGANT!!!I have been going there for 40 years and never treated like this, I brought a car down one way from SRQ airport to deal with Hurricane Helene Flooding, Not knowing the condition of my own car i made sure that if i need the rental for a longer period i could convert the daily rate to a weekly rate. The gilr behind the counter was helping me and trying to provide me with a special rate when he interrupted and said they couldn't do that and that they need the car for insurance claims only. I finally checked out the car and wanted to point out there was a dent on the hood that i took a pic of and he said not to worry he was not claiming it. i requesting he note it and very sarcastically he waived his hands and said it was noted. what an A - hole! read more

We needed a car in a hurry as a result of an accident. I called the Englewood office and they had a driver out to pick me up in 15 minutes. The people were friendly and helpful and they provided a small SUV that met all of our needs and coordinated the whole process with our insurance company. I rented an economy car as I have done in the past. Sales rep. asked me if the 4 door Mitsubishi was ok, I said it was fine as long as it had cruise control. The car was clean, but after I drove away I noticed , no cruise. So it left me unhappy. Fortunately for us consumers, they are not the only car rental company in town. read more

I reserved a car online for a trip coming up here and specifically chose the convertible because we live in Indy and we were going to be in FL. No brainer! Two days before the trip, they called to tell me that they cannot find a convertible. How does that work? In Florida?? I told them that it was available online so they should really update that information. I ended up getting a Volkswagen Passat, not exactly the same fun factor. The ladies working the day we went to pick up were nice, but the next day, it was just the one and she was super busy. It definely seemed like she could of used some help. read more

The Englewood Enterprise Rent-A-Car staff and car were great. We have been renting cars from Enterprise from NC down to FL and they have been so accommodating. The convenient locations are one of the best parts of this organization. They have definitely placed themselves to make it convenient to the customer. Having the pick-up and drop-off service is also what makes them even more valuable. I highly recommend trying any of their locations out if you are in need of a rental. read more

Very smooth transaction from start to finish. Made the reservations online and car was ready to go when I got there. Got a brand new Chevy Impala. I'd have given this 5 stars except that I think the manager was in a hurry to get out of there (they close at noon on Sat.) and didn't take any time to go over the various bells and whistles. I was able to figure out the navigation system, though not how to clear the destinations before I returned the car, which I didn't much like. And I couldn't get the cruise control to work. But, I'd definitely use them again. read more

Probably the worst rental place under enterprise banner. Made reservation week in advance for van. Confirmed in person 48 hrs ago. Actually went into site to make sure we were all set and to give necessary info. Got call today that fleet was pulled for resale and new vans haven't been titled. So our plans to move daughter in limbo. This is not the first time confirmed reservations have been cancelled or not as promised at this site. But for us it'll be the last. Do yourself a favor and travel to more professional enterprise or other rental business. This one and it's management are less then worth the time saved by staying local!! UPDATE. Contrary to manager's statement that no cargo van was available and he called every site from Naples to Tampa, we got a truck in port charlotte. Mgr stressed he did his best but there was nothing he could do. Hmmm. One call to another site and we got it done. Again avoid this enterprise and avoid aggravation!! read more

We just rented a car at the Englewood, Fl location. The car was clean and well maintained and the representative couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful. We needed a one way rental to the RSW airport and they could accommodate us. Had they been open on Sunday I would have given a 5 star review. We needed the car on Sunday for a Monday flight but had to rent it on Saturday. All in all it wasn't so bad having the car another day and the price was right!! Thanks Enterprise!!. read more

At your Englewood store the representative tried charge an extra $175 more than the on line price so my wife didn't rent a car. When she arrived home, she went on line and reserved a car at the listed price. $175 less than the representive tried to charge. When she arrived at the store. In Englewood, this guy wouldn't rent her a car since our daughter would be the main driver. She had to go to your Venice store to rent a car. Your representive is the best advertisement for Hertz I've heard of. read more

The Englewood, FL location needs a few lessons in professionalism, courtesy and diplomacy. I have never had a problem renting from other Florida locations without "Required" documentation. I do not have a credit card at the moment. The management team at the Sarasota/Bradenton locations have always gone out of their way to accommodate me. Not the S. MCCALL RD, ENGLEWOOD, FL location.The MANAGER left me stranded and his patronizing attitude was unacceptable. I was told when he checked my rental history I had not rented in over a year. WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING? I have always paid my bill on time and returned on time. I will spread the word to everyone I know that this location and your company in general treats people shabbily. To add insult to injury, I received a MALWARE notice while on your website So you treat women badly, stranding them with no transportation and you spread malware? Great job guys!! AND a huge shout out to Mary's Taxi of Englewood, FL. I called them to hopefully rescue me when Enterprise left me stranded and they dispatched a clean car promptly with a professional, well spoken driver. I am sorry I was so upset with Enterprise that I did not get the drivers name for Mary's Taxi, but rest assured I will remember the next time I need temporary transportation. read more

This location is a joke. I attempted to write a review on Google, but the owners of this location have their Google reviews disabled. Their customer service is horrid. I dealt with the terrible service when I rented the car. I returned it after the location had closed and accidentally locked something in the vehicle. I returned to the location at 7:50am the next morning to get said item. I looked through the window and saw the manager sitting at her desk, so I knocked. All she did was wave me away before making me stand at the door until 8am. Just to get an item from the vehicle. I will not be renting from this location again. I will take the extra time to drive to North Port or Port Charlotte. read more

Coming from out-of-state for 7 weeks, there was a one-month period where we needed a rental, and because of prior experience with the franchise, we chose Enterprise. We dealt with Doug, who was very helpful. When our first vehicle turned out to have a low tire and a bug problem, he told us to bring it back ASAP and he'd give us a different one. Actually, we paid a very modest amount extra to upgrade to the next level. We brought it back near the end of the month and told him we needed it for a few extra days, and also asked if we could return it at TPA instead, as we were flying out of there anyway. He greeted me by name as I came in, and said no problem there would no extra charge for that, just a daily rate for the extra days. I was pleased with the service and the car (Ford Fusion). I'd give my experience 5 stars if it weren't for the initial "buggy" auto! read more

I rented a car from this location as a long-term rental over the winter of 2014. Since I have a disability I was worried about renting, but the staff was super helpful. They also went out of their way to help me get collision coverage through my credit card, even though that meant I wouldn't be buying it from them. When I had a minor fender-bender, the staff was very pleasant and helpful, and non-judgmental. I would definitely rent from this company again. They are a small location and not open on Sat. afternoons or Sundays, but in a small town, that is to be expected. read more

I am not happy with the customer service I experienced at your Englewwood location. When I rented my vehicle I was charged an extra $15 for an additional driver. I explained to the agent that the "extra driver" was my domestic partner, providing both our drivers licenses showing the same home address. He stated that since our last names were not the same I had to pay the extra driver fee. Not having your "domestic partner" policy with me, nor the time to argue, I accepted the charge deciding to attempt to resolve the issue when I returned the vehicle at a different location. The agent at the drop off location listened to my problem and agreed that I should be refunded the charge, but advised that I would have to address the issue with your Englewood location. On 5-11-14 I called your Englewood store and explained the situation to Kathy. She also agreed that I had been overcharged, apologized and advised that she would leave a note for the Manager, Doug, to credit my bill. By May 14th I had not received any word from Doug so I checked my credit card statement and found that I had been charged the full amount. It should be noted that "Doug" is the same person who rented me the car and overcharged me in the first place. I then sent an e-mail to the Enterprise web site.
