Terrible communication and service. They actually threatened me with police because the car wasn't returned when they never contacted me or the repair shop to clarify. I was rear-ended on Tuesday, 6/22, and needed to put my SUV in for repairs. My insurance carrier set me up with Enterprise for a rental. I told the insurance company to please note to Enterprise that we need a large SUV because we are a 1-car family with 3 kids and we travel a lot together (with sports equipment, dance bags, pool gear, sometimes with the kids' friends, too). They informed me it would cost more than my coverage allows. I told them that was fine and that I would pay the difference; they made a note in the file. Wes from Enterprise met my husband at the shop the next day with a Jetta which was too small for our family. He told my husband there were no SUVs available and tried to talk him into just keeping the Jetta. My husband reluctantly agreed. We drove that for a week when the body shop called me to inform me on the progress of my vehicle, said it would take an extra two weeks at least, and also mentioned that there were larger Enterprise rental vehicles returned to their lot--which is right next door to the Flourtown Enterprise--that Wes and team just hadn't picked up yet. So I called back that following Tuesday morning after the accident (6/29) to ask Enterprise AGAIN for a larger vehicle. They said they would likely have something by 1 pm that day, by Wednesday at the latest, and they would call me back. They didn't return my call after about 6 hours, so I called them again at around 3 pm Tuesday. Wes picked up and said they still didn't have anything and he would call me when they did. I asked if he knew my information in order to call back and he said yes, he then mentioned my name, and said all of my info pops right up on their caller ID. I called back the following afternoon, another 24 hours later, when Enterprise still hadn't returned my call with an update. This time I spoke to a women. I told her my whole story, that I needed the SUV a week ago when we initially dropped off our car, we'd take any of the larger vehicles they have (even the really big ones), reiterated that we'd pay the difference, we could go to another location to pick it up, I needed it by Friday at the latest, etc. She told me she would look into it and call me back. She again didn't return my call for another 5 hours, and it was nearly closing time when I realized they hadn't called me back yet. So I called them. I held for a minute or two, someone picked up, and then hung up. I called again, the same thing happened. I called a third time and a fourth time. I kept getting through the recording to the ringing and then the line was picked up and disconnected. I figured whoever was on the other end of the line was just waiting 10 more minutes until 6 pm when they could shut off their phones. But I then called the Glenside location, had the same recording and ringing and someone picked right up; I asked them to please transfer me to Flourtown because there was no other way I was going to get through as they kept disconnecting the line. They transferred me and finally Wes picked up and said hello (because the call came in via the Glenside office, he didn't see my information on his caller ID). He sounded perturbed and just said with a sigh..."We still don't have anything." I told him it's really not great to hang up on customers and informed him I'd be writing this review about my whole experience. He said none of the surrounding offices have an SUV and blamed the holiday weekend for inventory being low (it wasn't a holiday weekend when I first requested the vehicle). This time, I hung up on him and called the Plymouth Meeting location. I spoke to someone there who said she'd have an SUV for me by 3 pm tomorrow. I just wanted to share this horrid experience with the Flourtown location, namely with Wes, who apparently thinks it's ok to snub customers instead of trying to address their concerns by calling the other locations himself. If you're stuck renting through Enterprise, pick any location but this one--or you may find yourself being ignored and hung up on repeatedly instead of finding any lick of customer service whatsoever. read more

I'll admit I messed up and tried to rent a car from another enterprise location and they didn't have a compact car ready for but they gave me an SUV for a discounted rate with no hesitation. Then a few days later when I found out my car would take a week to be done I called to get a compact car due to money issues and they told me to keep the SUV for the compact car rate! Can't beat that! This enterprise location is so nice, quick, and accommodating. When I'm in need of a rental it's the only place I'll go! read more

Worst rental experience. The car they "assigned" us was obviously never cleaned, and clearly someone had smoked in the car previously. The air freshener smell was overwhelming when we got the car, but wore off after a day to reveal the disgusting smell. We were charged for an "upgrade" but never informed about it. Don't even try to book with Enterprise. I wish there was a zero star option. We booked online at 9am and received confirmation for 12pm pick up. They called and said they wouldn't have anything until after 4pm. We waited all day to find out they wouldn't have anything for two more days! How does a company take a reservation and not have the inventory? We missed a day and a half of our vacation dealing with this! Read other reviews. It seems to happen often. I would highly recommend any other rental car company so you won't get stuck like we did. Please beware before booking! read more

I've used this enterprise location for a rental several times (the most recent being 8/20 to 8/29). Each time I've been greeted with a smile which might seem trivial but goes a long way with this girl) and professionalism. Every car I've rented has also been clean which is another win for me. I called the enterprise rent-a car at the erdenheim location this morning to rent a car and they transferred me to a reservation customer service representative who was nasty, belligerent, vulgar, ignorant and extremely angry. i asked him to repeat a question and he accused me of speaking to him like an idiot and then he raised his voice at me, called me an as**ole among other curse words and abruptly hung up on me before I could get his name and employee identification number. The way this enterprise rent-a-car employee treated me was nothing less than despicable, sickening and vile. I will never rent a car from enterprise rent-a-car again. If they have scumbags like this working for them I want no part. No one should be treated in such an awful way and with such disrespect. read more

This place is usually pretty good but they really disappointed this time. Needed a minivan and for 2 days. They would not rent it for less then 3 regardless of the time needed. Total cost with fees was over $325. Seems like capitalizing on summer time to me. I won't use them again. read more

I used Enterprise for a rental for nearly 3 weeks during repairs on my own vehicle. All staff was very friendly and helpful. I was initiallyh given an older Nissan Versa, which was very small and felt as safe as a toy car. I exchanged it after 3 days for a newer Ford Fusion. They were very understanding and accommodating. They will pick you up and drop you off locally when getting or returning the rental. Very good service, my only complaint was the crummy car I was first given. read more
