So... they screwed up LOL. They didn't have rental cars to give to me and at least three other arriving passengers, this is the GNV airport location. I reserved a mid-size SUV. They said I would need to wait up to an hour for cars to come from other Enterprise locations. Here's what they did to make me whole though, listed me as starting with an empty tank, gave me a 12-passenger Mercedes van that had car play, heated seats and a very powerful A/C system. Oh and they don't usually shuttle, but because I was so gracious about them not having my rental car the manager drive me herself 7 minutes to where my car was done being worked on at the body shop. DON'T DO IT!!! UNRELIABLE!!! Will leave you without your reserved rental! I have to give them a star when they deserve none! I flew in from Dallas to Gainesville and before I left Dallas I called Enterprise Customer Service to let someone know that my flight was delayed and I wouldn't get in until 11:30 pm. Enterprise customer service ensured me that I would be fine since they weren't closing until 11:59 pm. However, when I landed at 11:00 pm and went to the booth, they were closed. I called customer service at 11:11 pm to find out what was going on and they told me to walk around the parking lot to look for their employee. Because I was traveling by myself I did not feel safe to walk around outside at night. I walked up to the Hertz counter and the lady told me that the Enterprise/National employees left at 10:30 pm and they couldn't rent to me because they were sold out. I have been a long standing Enterprise client-- i am not going to fault all of Enterprise. However, I would never rent from this Enterprise @ Gainesville Airport. read more

You call thinking you are talking to one of the reps but they don't even have enough staff to do that so it's just a call center. Meaning your request can't be executed because the employees at this location have no idea what you're talking about. Terrible experience .. if you are in Gainesville just rent from another location or rental company in general. A team full of bozos work at this place. We booked a car, selected the options like leaving-from and going-to locations, got a confirmation email with a confirmation number and a pickup time. We get there about 15 mins after pickup time and the woman at the counter says there are no cars and probably won't be any she can't do anything about it and there are 90 people with reservations in front of us. Ended up taking a $200 Lyft instead because the fcked us over. This place is messed up and takes advantage of people who are vulnerable since they are relying on the place for specific travel plans and you will be STRANDED and MISERABLE read more

The worst expirience I have had in 30 years of renting cars. (Belonged to National Emerald Aisle) When I first picked up the car a month ago I was left outside in 40 degree weather for 30 mins. I was told they were gasing up the car. Then they gave it to me with half tank. Today mgr. rude, confrontational, unprofessional, very passive aggressive "u want the car" as he shook the keys in front of me. I was asked out of the office when I went to see what was going on as I had waited for quite a while again. I was asked out while the carpet cleaners let in. Terrible Customer Service. Corporate needs to do some updated training especially the manager. The others are college kids. Starts at the top. If this was my Branch I would fire the manager. I made a reservation through Expedia I arrived to enterprise with my reservation number and they told me they had no cars...I showed them my confirmation number and they told me it was through a third party so they could not confirm it. First, I'm writing this review during my second time waiting upwards of 15 minutes to talk to this office's manager. My insurance company uses enterprise, and my experience with this office has been terrible. I locked my keys in my trunk (completely my fault). When I called enterprise, I told them the keys were in the trunk and they confirmed this before sending AAA out. However, this wasn't communicated to AAA, so they disabled the system when they came to unlock the car and the trunk wouldn't open. Enterprise's solution was to send a tow truck to take me to the VW dealership so the dealer could unlock the car. I understand if that's the only viable option they had. However, the manager's attitude was unacceptable. She never apologized on behalf of enterprise, and instead try to blame it all on AAA. Additionally, she acted as if Enterprise was doing me a huge favor by giving me another car (apparently it's company policy to not do that if the car is towed). However, it was enterprise's fault that the car had to be towed, as they didn't give the correct information to AAA. When the tow truck arrived, the first thing he did was ask for the keys. He also had not been told that the keys were in the truck. Luckily, he took the time to figure out how to bring the back seats down so we could get the keys. His customer service was in direct contrast to enterprise's. I won't willingly be choosing this office in the future. read more

I wish I remembered the name of the nice man who got us a car (after our car broke down and we needed to leave it in Gainesville for repairs). Avoid the Enterprise at this location if you can (Gainsville Airport). Our daughter, son-in-law (a Soldier) and our three granddaughters were in need of a rental car because the car that they were driving from Kansas City to Florida broke down. I offered to cover the rental and insurance with my credit card (a USAA card) and the manager, Stewart (wouldn't give his last name), said that their 'policy' wouldn't allow it, basically leaving my family stranded. Fortunately a local auto dealership did accept my card and rented them a car for the entire week, plus provided a significant discount given that we are both veterans. God Bless them. It's a small airport with maybe 1 or 2 counter associates on the clock, but the service was fast and friendly and rather than try to sell me a bunch of ad-ons I didn't want the clerk only mentioned the fuel plan and let me quickly refuse other options. 3/18/21 rental 3 weeks in advance. Completed 'check-in' as sent by email 2 days prior, and PAID! 15 passenger van. Upon airport arrival for 8 pm pickup before travel day, attendant acted baffled.......no van available. Complete B.S. they could not have cared less. I was leaving in am with 15 passengers..... and no van. Attendant gave me regional manager (Jason Shank) phone number and said I could try to call but he wont answer because after hours. With no options, and large group to travel, and no other companies with cars available, they had nerve to upcharge me for utility 8 passenger car. No decency to call me and tell me in advance. No decency to discount the suboptimal rental. This company is a ZERO!! I will be contesting all charges thru my credit card company. Enterprise cost me hundreds of $$ with not so much as a sorry!! Jason, the big time manager, never returned one of my 3 phone calls over the next 24 hours. huge inconveniences and embarrassment as the rental was for daughter's 21st birthday weekend trip. I have been renting vehicles from Enterprise for about a year. I travel about once a month and use the car two to four days per rental. I've gotten to know the staff at the Gainseville, FL, Williston Road Branch. What I have observed is there is a small segment that tries to game the system. They rent a car with a debit card and then keep it until they get caught. Many people are very put off by having to show prove who they are and pay with a credit card. Once you understand that the Manager, Taft, has to protect the company and work with him, things go very well. I just rented another car today and the service was excellent. I booked ahead and the car was ready, clean, and more than satisfactory. A little forethought, cooperation, and patience goes a long way to improving your rental experience. read more

My husband received a rental from this location after he was rear ended in an accident. While he was sitting in Lowes parking lot an elderly gentleman lost control of his heavy cart and the cart hit the rental vehicle and left a dent. Upon return of the rental truck Enterprise my husband explained what happened and that the elderly gentlemen had accepted responsibility of the dent and was filing on his insurance. Per Enterprise it is their policy to charge the person renting the vehicles insurance for the damage and then the insurance companies can sort it out. They charged the deductible amount to our credit card on file. Our deductible for comprehensive is $250.00 yet my card was charged $500.00. I called and explained that our card was incorrectly charged and was told they would not refund the extra $250.00 charged until they confirmed with our insurance what the comprehensive deductible was. The lady on the phone was extremely rude! This was on Friday, it is now Tuesday and my card still has an incorrect $500.00 charge. I called again this morning and was told the same thing, they need to confirm with my insurance the amount of the deductible. Again the lady on the phone was extremely rude! I gave them the number to my specific agent, I spoke with my agent a few minutes ago and still no call from Enterprise. Steer clear of this place! They require you to have a credit card on file so they can charge you whatever they feel like charging you and then will take their time giving you back money that they should never have taken to begin with. They will also be very rude when you are trying to get your money back that they should never have charged you. I will NEVER use Enterprise again! read more

I placed a reservation online for a full size at a different Enterprise, when I got there they informed me that they had ran out of cars and gave me the number for this Enterprise. I called and made a reservation for a full size at this location. I drove 45 minutes out there to pick it up. After paying and signing the contract, they brought me to a Jeep SUV model. I asked what happened to the fullsize and they said they upgraded me because they didn't have a full size...I'm driving to Miami and back and rented the car to save on gas. I didn't want an SUV upgrade. If they would have been straight up with me and told me there were no fullsize Altima's or similar available, I would have saved a lot of time and money. Also the alignment is TERRIBLE on this jeep. You have to hold the steering wheel a quarter to the left to keep it straight. Seriously, this thing can take right turns without assistance. Had to wait 20+ minutes to pick up my reserved car, which wasn't a big deal. Overall I've been happy with the actual organization, but unfortunately they gave me a Kio Rio instead of the Nissan Versa that I had requested. I mention this because I'm genuinely surprised that they would want to be associated with the Kio Rio. It had no cruise control. The bottom part of the driver's seat had no adjustments, and the back had no lumbar adjustment. When I would switch my foot between the gas and brake petal my foot would catch on things. The visibility isn't very good. The fuel economy is a little disappointing for a car of this size. Most of these things wouldn't be a big deal for short trips around town, but after 10 hours of driving, they became really annoying. In the future I'll continue to consider Enterprise, but I won't be renting a Kio Rio ever again! read more

I'm a VERY frequent renter that began renting from Enterprise a few months ago. I'm a surgical rep for endoscopy and robotic surgery, so the territory I cover is pretty broad. I'm always in a different city and relied Budget for the last 3 years because of their prices and great cars. This is UNTIL I heard about Enterprises reward program. Once I found out about this program I immediately switched because it's SO beneficial for a guy that travels like I do. Needless to say I reached platinum status pretty fast..... BUT, what good is a loyalty program that the Enterprise employees don't even know about? There's a gentleman that usually works evenings when I pick up that automatically acknowledges how often I rent and my rewards status! I think that is such a awesome way to keep customers because it definitely keeps me loyal. I've only rented Enterprise ever since and I tell my other co workers to do the same. My problem is that he's the o let person that's aware that you have a awards program. On several other occasions, my loyalty status was not even acknowledged. Just now upon arrival, the employee at the Enterprise desk says you don't have a program and she's never heard of complimentary upgrades for Platinum members. This defeats the purpose of having a loyalty rewards program if no one knows about it. With that being said, what makes Enterprise more beneficial than Budget or Hertz? read more
