I guess everyone has the right to give whatever rating they want, but sometimes I feel this is unfair for the business. We stayed a week there in July and had a great time. Due to the unusual hot weather we spent a lot of time at the pool. The pool seemed very clean and we didn't encounter anyone drinking alcohol. Even if someone did have a drink I wouldn't blame the RV park for their actions. We used our StarLink internet so I can't comment on the quality of the RV Park internet. I found out over the years that most KOA's and Good Sam parks do have connection problems when they are 100% occupied. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. Someone mentioned in another review that there was no garbage service. To me that is not big deal I just put my trash in the dumpster, just as I would do at a National or State Park. We used the RV Park's showers on the final day and they were very clean. Finally, we did see big beautiful Pine Cones on the ground and we didn't hear any report of injuries from getting struck in the head by a falling Pine Cones, as one reviewer worried about in their review. Overall if we ever return to Williamsburg we would definitely return to American Heritage RV Park.

We opted instead to take the scenic Colonial Parkway drive and perhaps catch some views over the river. We lucked out and found a free ferry that crossed the river just as the sun was setting. The storm couldn't hold back the sunset no matter how hard it tried and the ferry offered us the best views. In the end we got our sunset cruise and it didn't cost us a cent.

Just came back from a tour with the BEST guide. She was simply adorable…read more Her name is Liv and she is a student at William and Mary college. Therewas a pub walk where we saw the Wren building, a pub called Precarious that had a glorious fire pit outside. It was so cold and windy but Liv kept us warm with her stories. Then we went to Burton Parrish and in between she regaled us with stories about the area adding her own personal touches. This was such a fun event to do in a super awesome location. The only downside was the rest of our tour who were super cheap in tipping our guide. She was very pleasant with everyone and worked very hard in the cold to make sure we had a great time. I wish people understood how hard these kids work. We gave a generous tip and thanked her profuseyfor such a wonderful evening. I highly recommend!!!

This review is a bit through my sons eyes. However I did pick him up and dropped him off from the…read moreTransportation Station in Williamsburg. The station is located just blocks from the campus of William & Mary. Ample parking is provided and the lot was clean. The building is fitting for the area but seemed nondescript with small signage on the building. Mask are required inside regardless of vaccination status. Tickets can be purchased inside. The Men's restroom was functional and clean. I purchased my sons tickets online which was an easy to use system. Major credit cards are accepted. An email confirmation was generated immediately. The train arrived around 5 minutes late, not bad. My son rode coach for $27 from DC. Quite the bargain. He described the trip as comfortable and similar to a bus or plane with more leg room and better seating. The timing was approximately 3.5 which is slower than driving in perfect conditions which never occurs in NOVA. The return was less than 10 minutes late and quite crowded with some passengers traveling as far as Philly. My son will schedule to use them again some time in 2022. By the way, if your wondering if the conductor yells ALL ABOARD when arriving they do. Just like the movies.
