The cars are ready when promised and typically I wind up getting a free upgrade. When going to the airport and doing a drop off, I go with national because they have no drop-off fee. The location is conveniently located next to the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA, so it is very useful for TDY rentals. Be aware though that the selection of cars is not that great at this location as on two occasions I rented a Silverado pickup truck as that was the only vehicle left. (Well, on the second occasion I could also have had a PT Cruiser, but I really didn't see that as a viable choice). But what they lack in selection they make up for in customer service. Enterprise is the only company I know that will pick you up to rent one of their cars and drop you off once you return it. This is a very convenient service if your car is in an autobody shop for example. Recommend.

We spent the night packing and making arrangements so we only had two hours of sleep that night. After traveling all day we arrived at the Richmond Airport around 11:00 PM. When I went to Budget to get our car, I was told it would be two hours before they had a car ready for us. The agent told us they had a car for us, but for some reason we would have to wait two hours and he would call our name when our car was ready. There were about 75 people all waiting for their Budget rental cars standing around the Budget counter. While I was at the counter, another customer asked if they had called his name. The agent's response was that he had not called anyone's name yet. So with only two hours of sleep in the last 36 hours, we were stuck waiting for our Budget rental car. We were seriously considering calling an Uber to drive us to our hotel which was 1.5 hours away. We had gone over to the Alamo counter, but they had a sign stating they were only taking customers with a current reservation. I had booked the Budget car through Costco and wanted them to know about the terrible position Budget had put us in. After calling Costco Travel, the agent cancelled our reservation with Budget and made one with Alamo. We went to the Alamo counter and spoke to the extremely friendly agent, I wish I could remember his name. He reminded me of Morgan Freeman! Twenty minutes later we were driving out of the airport in our Alamo rental car. I will never use Budget again. Costco and Alamo saved the day.

When I couldn't return the car during business hours because of my job, Bill even offered to meet me whenever I could make it and gave me a ride home as well! And the pricing really can't be beat! The only issue I have is when I get a Wagoneer from National, it doesn't cost more, but here it was double what I would have paid through National. Also, when picking it up, the guy who helped me inside was efficient and quick. Then he asked a different person to bring the car around and get me checked out - That guy took forever! He went back in a couple of times to ask questions and tried to charge me again. I prefer the smooth, efficient process that National has over the way Enterprise does it.

They still have not contacted me after 3 different…read morerepresentatives told me they would send the district manager an alert to contact me to resolve the issue and they have yet to contact me. I have waited for emails and phone calls. All broken promises and a refund has not been issued. This is so messed up this business scammed me of $300 that was the deposit i left and i got a dirty car with mysterious stains and smells.
