I am sadly disappointed in the service we have received. My wife and I have had a good record and relationship with Enterprise for years. We were supposed to get our rental from Walker St downtown location, but they ran out of cars, so they drove us to the heights location. Things seemed fishy when we received a Not so good looking vehicle, but we were running out of time and had to go. My wife did her usual walk around to check for scratches(THERE WERE A-LOT) and off we go. We only rented for one day to go to Dallas to see a friend(WHO LET US USE THEIR GARAGE) The next day we drove back to Houston to return the vehicle. When we arrived back at the Enterprise, things got even more strange. The Manager(WHO WAS VERY RUDE BY THE WAY!) came by to do the inspection for damages, He walked to the vehicle and the first thing he checked for was damages under the car. We never check for anything like that, and it felt as though he knew about it and put the blame on us for the Trashy vehicle. My Wife and I was severely upset because we tried to explain that it was not our doing but Manager did not want to hear it and said he's going to submit a claim anyway. EXCUSE ME!? Now we have a claim on our record because we rented from a shady location we didn't even want to go to. Now we're stuck in a dilemma because we always rent from Enterprise, but if we go to corporate on issue we'll most likely be put on a no rental list. This location doesn't know how to manage their reservations and inventory. I made a reservation on 11/25 for a car to be picked up 11/27 at noon. I arrive to the location and there are 4 people ahead of me in line waiting for cars also. What's the point in making a reservation if the cars not going to be available? This isn't the first time this location has done this to me either. They've done it 3 times before. The location on Bengal Rd. Does a much better job managing their business. Slow service, they didn't have my booked vehicle, rushed to get me out door with no real attention to customer service. I gave them an extra hour to get another vehicle ready and they still didn't have it ready when I arrived. Vehicle not filled with gas (like most agencies to try to get you to prepay or lose gas when you return it). Would not recommend. Two days after returning my car to the Phoenix airport, an Enterprise employee found my iPad while cleaning it and called me since my number is on the back and asked if I'd like to pick it up. I was already in Texas so asked if they could ship it and I'd pay it. He said he will give it to the manager. I filed a lost report, called the location several times, followed on lost report over 30 days to no avail. They claim it was not found even though an employee had called me. Theft. read more

Horrible experience! First, they are way understaffed, so it takes forever to do anything. They barely had any cars so they gave me an SUV while my car was being worked on. The insurance would only cover a smaller car but they said they would take care of the difference. Now I turned the car in and they charged me over $500 extra. Disclaimer: this review is related to an insurance claim filed due to Hurricane Harvey as my car was flooded and completely totaled. I never use Enterprise (my company uses Hertz so I always go through them), but my insurance company is partnered with Enterprise so I wanted to make my life a little easier. And this branch is super close to my house. It was an unpleasant surprise when I walked in and saw a bunch of people crowded inside with a waitlist of ~20 people. (I guess not that surprising, but still unpleasant). There were 50,000 car claims filed in Houston due to the hurricane and they were having to bring thousands of rental cars in from other cities (not just Texas, but NY, WA, etc.). Everyone was waiting patiently (like, 3-4 hours) to get their cars as people were returning them, and I was very impressed by Alicia and Nikita's ability to stay calm and bubbly and deal with angry customers. They were doing everything they could to help (no laziness, I know they had been staying hours late past closing time the past few days to help), providing regular updates, joking around with the customers but also staying professional, and that's all I could really ask of them in this situation. After about 4 hours it was finally my turn on the waitlist (last of the day!). Alicia actually drove me to another branch location to get a car (and again, this was after closing time). I can't stress how much I appreciated their hard work. I was finally entered into the system by DeVonna, who was brand spanking new but still very friendly and helpful. I can't speak for just everyday, regular car rentals, but in times of crisis and chaos, this branch sure knows how to make everyone feel calm and as best as they can! read more

Enterprise. What a self-affirming, cheesy name for a car company. Oh, it's so "70s/80s self-help corporate branded." According to Merriam-Webster, it means: 1. A project or undertaking that is especially difficult, complicated, or risky. 2. Readiness to engage in daring or difficult activity. 3. A systematic, purposeful activity. Well. I would have gotten the insurance if I'd thought about it. They encourage renters to engage in stunt driving, by their mere name. Really I should have followed a recent former co-worker's advice and paid the extra charge daily, so I could have driven it like I meant it. (Actually his language was far too brilliant and hilarious to transcribe for this family show, but you get the idea. ) After my last review of an Enterprise, I silently promised myself I would never rent from them again. After my unfortunate incident last week, I'm amending that statement. Make that: never again, unless an insurance company forces me to rent from Enterprise. There are definite pros and cons to renting from this lot, but in most instances, the pros turn into accidental cons. Pros: Convenience Friendly employees Driver didn't talk incessantly and almost accidentally run a stop light like "final" Enterprise rental time Easy to make car driving selection Cons: Convenience on Washington leads to sparse inventory Had to call to remind them to send a driver to pick me up I only had two cars to choose from My advice is this: rent from another location, then return your car here. If you are in an unfortunate situation, your (or the other driver's) insurance company will facilitate the rental. All you have to do is call and make certain they pick you up. Continued side note: if the rental car has bad brakes, hiccups when your foot touches the accelerator, or has a oil change sticker with a date in the distant past, call them back and get a new car. read more

Boo on you Enterprise, this location is awful, just plain awful. I've had two experiences with this place, each one crap. Over a year ago I had a car accident and my insurance company uses Enterprise therefore I was forced. From start to finish the experience was a nightmare. They tried to give me a car that someone (I had a sneaking sucspicion that it was an employee) had taken to the beach and still had sand in it. One of the other ones reeked of smoke. Customer service was AWFUL! Fast forward a year later, and unfortunately some genius from Utah decided to run a red light and hit me after a Rockets game. USAA called this location to make me a reservation. I called to confirm and let them know I would be by to pick up a car. First they couldn't find the reservation, and second they had NO cars. I asked if they could get one from another lot (after all the Travis location was 3 miles away) but the guy said no. He said if he was going to get cars from other lots they would be for people who were waiting. Um, I have a reservation fella. it made absolutely ZERO sense to me, and I hung up scratching my head. For college educated graduates (I know this because we've hired people from their sales program) the people who work at this location are idiots. read more

Good afternoon, Recently I filed a complaint at your Washington Ave. location in Houston, Texas over the phone after your company chose freely to charge my personal bank account almost $350 when they clearly had not been authorized to do so. I was in a car accident and when I went to pick up the rental they explained to me what my insurance company, Geico, would cover and what I would be responsible for financially which would be $45 tops! However the charge came as a human error based on someone at that location taking it upon themselves to charge my account and until I called to complaint-no one addressed the issue. It was already a headache simply getting a decent rental car from this location, on top of paying a $1,000 deductible (due to the other driver not having insurance) and still getting charged full price from Enterprise?!?!?!? I explained to the gentlemen on the phone, Josh, at the Washington location how it would affect me due having other automatic withdrawals linked up to this account and he offered to have the charges reversed which he said it could take up to 48 hours. However he failed to acknowledge the issue at hand of what am I supposed to do when my account becomes overdrawn due to an ACTION that stems from Enterprise??!!??!! Attached you will find pictures of my bank account from the time your employee took it upon, him or herself, to withdraw funds from my account and what it has done to me to accrue numerous overdraft charges and taken my account into serious negative equity! If this account hadn't been overdrawn by Enterprise, I would've had the finances in my account to cover automatic withdrawals being drafted out of my account! Reading from the bottom up in my pictures beginning with the Enterprise withdrawal, you can clearly see how many hundreds of dollars this mistake made by your company is costing me and leaving me with absolutely NO MONEY TO MY NAME until this gets rectified ASAP and I STILL HAVE MORE CHARGES THAT WILL INCUR! These days it has been harder for me to give out 5 stars on Yelp but I must say this rental car office did a great job of giving me a nice rental car. Was given a convertible that I drove straight to my hotel after going through the proper papers. I called them up and they did pick me up for free hence their commercial. This location has horrible customer service and rarely has any cars available for rent. My key was barely working for my Nissan Rogue and they said they'd notify me when they had another vehicle for me to swap out with. I never got any notice and still have my barely usable rental car. I recommend everyone to go to the 610 location, they have great customer service and actually care about your rental experience. read more

I was hit when a woman ran a stop sign. Her insurance is covering my rent car. Her insurance set up a rental through this location since it is closest to my house and I needed them to pick me up since I didn't have a car or a ride. This being said, I have used a different Enterprise location since that time I had a ride to pick up my rental. I had zero problems with the other location. I call at 2pm (as soon as the rental reservation confirmation was emailed to me) to set up a pick up time, it gets scheduled for 3pm. At 3:20pm I call them as no one has picked me up. They said they're sending someone. Someone arrives at 3:50pm in the rental car. We go back to this location, he does the agreement on a tablet. I decline all extra coverage and explain my insurance policy covers rentals so I don't need anything extra. Her insurance company is paying for the rent car so I should not be paying for anything. He emails me the agreement and I get the car. The gas light is on and I only have 30 miles to empty. I have never in my life rented a car that was on empty when I picked it up. 11 days later I am charged $250 to my credit card on file. I call the adjuster thinking she didn't extend my rental car. She has to get Enterprise on the phone, and they explain that I elected extra coverage. Upon looking over rental agreement fine print, while I did decline "RAP" and "Supplemental Liability Protection 2" somehow I accepted "Damage Waiver $14.99/day" and "PAI $3/ day" I explain again how my insurance policy covers rentals I declined any and all extra coverage. Employee says I must come into to any Enterprise location to resign all paperwork declining coverage. She cannot email me the agreement, I cannot sign and email or fax back to them. I must come in. So I go in the same day and resign the rental agreement, this time it's on paper instead of a tablet. She inspects my car and asks for my insurance information, even though it should have been on file. I again explain I do not want ANY extra coverage, and there is no reason why they are charging me when the insurance company is covering the rental. I sign declining everything and leave. 5 days later I am charged $200. It takes calls to the insurance company and Enterprise, and I never get a straight answer. Enterprise claims the insurance company didn't extend my rental agreement. Insurance denies this. I am told different reasons for the charges depending on who I talk to. Two days later I am credited the $200, charged $250, and then credited $200. So I am on the hook for $50. Which is what the deposit for the rental car should have been when I first picked up the car. Not sure why I was never charged the standard $50 deposit when I picked up the car. I turned in the car October 6th and was only credited $3.80 back. So for some reason Enterprise has decided to charge me $46.20. I am currently waiting to hear back what these charges are for. read more

I rent from this Enterprise once or twice a month and am so grateful for the wonderful service I have received. Damien and Robert are such professional men that have always worked hard to make sure their customers are satisfied with their rental experience. I have had a car that kept losing tire pressure so I called this site and they had a car for me to exchange it with ready when I got there. I was able to get into another car in a few minutes and was off to work again. They apologized but it wasn't their fault. The staff at this location are rude and very unwilling to accommodate. Went in to rent a vehicle and said I wanted a standard size SUV or a truck and I show up and they give me the smallest SUV as they are renting out the standard size truck. The SUV had no gas and was extremely unclean when I got in and the lady, who was either obviously having a terrible day or just has a general rude demeanor, so well do you want a car? I called back to switch it out later and again the female I spoke with acted like I was putting her at such an inconvenience to find a truck. This location is just rude and not accommodating. This Enterprise location was excellent from my original call with Brooke to the moment I drove away. Brooke and her team were very courteous and concerned with my needs. Brooke listened to my needs, to get my car I rented in FTW, TX, replaced with one of her cars on the lot. But, Brooke had no cars that morning, she then sent her team to pick up cars from various Houston area locations and asked me to return by 12noon. True to her word she had a car for me, but she had to detail it, b/c car smelled of cigarettes and chicken. All this was done for a stranger in an Enterprise vehicle. I wish I could give Brooke more stars and to her awesome friendly team. I was given a safer black minivan that drove beautifully. My FTW rental had a serious balance or tire issue and I struggled with keeping car straight at highway speeds. Brooke understood and she exchanged it for a safe car! Thank you Brooke!!! read more

So I got to jog to the Walmart 400 yards down the road purchase a jack run back and change the tire so I wasn't extremely late to work.
