Avis Preffered/Plus means nothing. Cars and paperwork are not ready ahead of time. The desk still uses a ribbon printer! I am an Emerald Executive Elite with National, so they offered me my choice of vehicles. I'd reserved a midsize and I drove a new-ish Ford Edge all week. Returning was easy. Pick any empty space in the National area, park, record the mileage, drop off the keys, and head to the airline check-in counter. Since having the vehicle we have spent so much money in repairs on this vehicle that it is completely ridiculous , we refuse to go to them to get it fixed because the last time we took it to them to get something fixed it came back with another issue that wasn't even one of the problems. We ended up going to another dealership, only to pay out of the pocket to fix issues because we didn't trust them to fix it correctly. It seems as if it's always something that goes wrong with this vehicle. It's completely frustrating to have a vehicle that you have had for less than a year and you have put so much money into keeping it together because of issues that has gone wrong with it, and also to be told by other mechanics or dealership that this vehicle should not have been sold with issues like this.
