The car we rented was in a previous accident and we were not told about it. We were informed by them that the hubcap was lost in a car wash. But when the front fender was coming off and a mechanic said that it had happened before we got the car and that it had been in an accident. We are now being charged for it and it was reported to our insurance. We now have to wait three hours for an available car. My mother is 77 years old and they are trying to take advantage of her. read more

Very catty such as getting into issues that does not concern Enterprise, she has the other employees in cohoots with her with trying to frame a young black male because she did not like what he said to her when he was merely rebutting what she had said to him which was extremely derogatory. There is much evidence to prove that this is a setup. Ms Tenia or tenea does not own Enterprise Holdings and needs to be sent back for management training. I did not initially rent my car from this location,but I returned it to it. And was told that I dented the car. This imaginary dented. I would not have been able see it upon initial inspection. I would have had to actually rub the car to find it. The entire process was, unfortunately, less than 1 star because I was promised a clean and drivable car and got a dirty car with road hazards per the recording when placed on hold. When I called the assistant manager tokd me that ifvi go to another Enterprise that I'd lose the claim number and have to pay out of pocket, which i later found out wasn't true by my claims adjuster. The second trade out had sounds coming from the axel, and the third vehicle had electrical issues . The trunk didn't work, the dash kept blanking out, and the car smelled horrible due to a fragrance sprayed. I will admit it was clean at Contee Rd and Rt 1 location, and I was treated much better. and when I went to change it out at the third location, I was given a gas credit, buy not given credit for the days that I awaited a better car from the 16 to the 10 of February. I returned the vehicle to the original location where I initially rented and was rols that they tried to put me in 4 vehicles at the time, and I declined, which isn't true. He only gave me 2 of the 5 days and told me that the gas should have been full, and if I didn't leave, he'd call the cops on me, charging my card $339.92. Of the $1999.22 that I actually gave your business. They, assistant manager, and manager laughed and ridiculed me as if I was not a person asked another employee for his name, he instructed him not to respond. Great little enterprise. The parking situation is questionable but it works. If you drive and need to park your car it must stay on the street but there were honestly about 7-10 cars lining the street. I needed to rent a car for a few days for a work trip that required driving. The agent that took my information was Branden (I hope I spelled his name right) he was quick and knew his job well. The car was clean, the right size, and had low mileage. I deal with a lot of rental car agencies so when I say this transaction was a breeze I mean it! I work for a non-profit so I had a few issues with the tax being removed but it was nothing major. Nia or Niah is the young lady who I retuned to car to and she was quick and pleasant. I rented a car for 21 days and dropped off the vehicle in the condition that I received it. Mohamed told me that he found small ding on the rear latch door that was not noticeable when I picked it up. Meaning, it was my fault for not noticing a small ding on the rear latch door and not purchasing their insurance. Also other Enterprise Service Rep (Drew) (who provided the car initially) told me that he will talk to Mohamed and he will do his best to get this resolved where he didn't think it was me who caused the ding. Also, Mohamed told me that I was not admitting fault by signing the "Loss Damage Report" where Insurance is going to investigate to see if I'm responsible for this ding. Also, within 5 minutes of leaving the Enterprise Rental, in Laurel, I was charged $500 on my Credit card without my permission. I called right away and spoke to Enterprise Service Rep (Drew) and he said that it is Mohamed who charged the amount without my permission and he will talk to him about it and get back to me. This is very unethical. My recommendation to anyone who wants to rent from Enterprises car rental, in Laurel MD, is to purchase their insurance OR they will find unnoticeable damages to charge you. read more

I had to get a car from this location when I dropped my car off at a collision shop near by and was nervous with all the bad reviews. The drive over was a little awkward as the person didn't speak a word to me, but after dealing with them I'm not sure why they were so negative.. Picking up the car was a quick and easy process.. Dave was great with keeping the process quick and simple. He was super personable and nice and had me off on my way before I knew it. My one and only complaint is that the car smelled like a little old man who wore too much cologne was driving it before me. I would have thought they wanted all of the cars smelling fresh and new.. Overall it was a good experience. The car drove fine and they allowed me to drop it off at the collision center to alleviate extra steps on my end. The manager even called me to let me know everything was all good and they had the car back.. Even though things were a little sketch in the beginning I would have no issue using them again in the future! read more

This office is really great. I had a car lined up for a couple days to be able to get around when mine was getting repaired at the Gerber Collision the office is attached too. When I went in they had apparently just experienced an unexpected rush of customers from other repair and car places in the area and they were trying to get cars to cover everyone from other offices (they're tiny!). There were 3-4 other people in around the same time as me. I'm not going to lie, the wait for a car took over an hour, maybe two. I don't quite remember- but it didn't bother me. Shit happens and everyone was extremely informative and apologetic about the delay. We were even offered pizza since we were all waiting around so long. It was nice. I couldn't really be frustrated because, working in customer service, I know shit happens sometimes and the employees handled it really well and did their best to accommodate everyone and make up for the delay. The car I ended up with (2012 Honda Civic) was great. When I brought the car back the check in was super speedy and the same man (I'm so sorry that I forgot his name- I think maybe he was a manager or supervisor, and if he wasn't he should be!) remembered me which was really nice. Excellent service; no high-pressure tactics. I came in to get a rental for a week during a car repair. Insurance was paying for everything. They found me a car equivalent to mine, and all they needed was a $100 security deposit, which they promptly refunded on my debit card as soon as I returned the car. The best time to return a car, BTW, is Friday at 4 p.m. - they are swamped with customers looking for weekend rentals and will take speedy care of your return. Also, I recommend using a bank debit card for the deposit - the refund will take longer on a credit card or by check, which is what they do if you pay by cash or check. Gift cards, like the VISA and MC debit cards, do not work. Everyone was courteous and no one tried to hard-sell me on anything. Highly recommended; I'll use them again. read more

Enterprise in general is the worst company on Earth. I'd suggest staying away use Getaround or Turo.com they're far more ethical. At their North Laurel branch I rented a car for almost three months but when I returned the car I was in they tried to charge my card again, without my consent, even while I told them not to because I had to move money from the savings account to the checking account. They did not listen to me and the card failed every time and they told me they're system would not take it anymore. I returned their vehicle July 25, 2017 and noticed several charges on my checking account the next Thursday July 27, 2017. I had been treated very poorly at the Clarksville branch so I left the car and did not stay quickly went to go and pick my car up from the body shop. I called in to the South Laurel branch who's management also treated me very poorly regarding this (even though they got over $1500 of my money). I paid out about $2600 to different Enterprise branch locations for rentals since April including South Laurel. And just today I spoke with someone named Harshit and said he was the regional vice president (?) who was even worse. He was suggesting I owe them even more than what they already charged me. However, I feel like I have been treated as more a nuisance than a loyal customer. If charging people out of nowhere with no evidence of damages, receipt or even a phone call is how they treat their on-time paying customers I'd hate to see what happens to people who are actually bad customers. It should have been at least a courtesy to not charge someone's account till they finalized the receipt! STAY AWAY FROM THESE AWFUL TERRIBLE HORRIBLE PEOPLE! read more

I've rented from Enterprise at 9943 Washington Blvd N, Laurel, MD 20723 several times over the last few years. The front desk associates are always professional and courteous but, over the years, coordination of pick up times and requested vehicle availability has been progressively getting poorer. On June 5th, I made a reservation for a van for June 18th and Enterprise never delivered on our agreement. They never called to tell me it wouldn't be available or offer me an alternative. I never received a response to the customer support message I submitted. I never received a follow up call from "regional management" as promised by Rae, Kayla, Becky, Muhammad, Melanie or Dewey. The only follow up I received, the following week, was from Muhammad who said he had a van ready for me. Which didn't help me because it was already days after my out of state family event had passed. I asked him to have upper management call me to discuss the breach of contract, but still, I received no response. It's been over a month now and Enterprise has not acknowledged me or the fact that they did not perform according to the terms of our deal. Next steps, filing with Consumer Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission and Better Business Bureau.. read more

Just rented a vehicle from Enterprise in North Laurel MD. Terrible experience. They left me waiting for about 45 minutes even though I had a reservation and had given them all the info they needed over the internet so I could "save time at the counter". What a joke. I paid for the damage waiver and they still wasted another 10 minutes taking pix of scratches. If I'm not responsible why do they need pix? I needed 3 references to use a debit card and they STILL required an additional $200 deposit for using a debit card and it is now a week later and I am still trying to get my deposit back. Don't try to call them unless you want to be hold for 20 minutes. Then the best one-I get out on the road and realize the gas tank is empty. Not to mention the staff was on the internet, on the phone and listening to Bill Cosby comedy routines. Very unprofessional. I should have learned my lesson the last time I rented a car from Enterprise, when I got out on the road and stopped for gas I realized I was driving on dead tags. They only had 2 people working on a busy Saturday and I could tell the other customers were getting frustrated because they were moving so slow. Then they charged my card twice for the same exact amount twice on two different days. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but that was unacceptable! I picked a rental car up, after I filled the tank up and went to DC. I was told to bring it back, it wasn't the right vehicle. You get a car with a half tank of gas. The cars are not too clean in Laurel. They do give you a clean car with a full tank of gas in Capital Heights Maryland. They don't have any vehicles available on certain holidays, like the fourth of July, if it's the holiday weekend, the cars go fast, and having a reservation ahead of time doesn't really matter. There is always someone ahead of you, out of all the locations, Capital Heights was the best when it came to cleanliness. read more

I dropped my car at the collision center attached to this location and the insurance company reserved a car here. I was assisted by the Branch Manager, Ryan. After being checked in by Ryan, who assisted other customers, I watched him ask every other customer what kind of car they wanted. He explained what the insurance company would pay for and even offered a gentleman a free upgrade to an SUV. I was not given an option. I was given the standard size tuna fish can even though I drive a minivan. I have three children. 2 in car seats and a teenage boy who stands over six feet. I don't expect him to know this so I informed him, he then offered the paid upgrade or to contact the insurance company for an upgrade. Guess he was all out of free ones. So tasteless. read more

Don't go to this location. I call them early morning to arrange a rental and to transfer the reservation from Columbia to laurel. They said no problem and booked me for app for 2:30. 2:40 comes no ones here no calls nothing I call enterprise and the manager answers and she don't know anything about the app. Ok then I give her the claim number and she said a its pending and instead of telling me let me check why it's pending she saids your going to be responsible because the the claim its pending. I explain that I call in the morning to have everything transfer from Columbia to laurel. Well instead of her calling to find out why it's pending I had to call the claim unit. They call laurel location and they call me back in 5 min to let me know that she fix everything and I should be good to go. I wait to here from enterprise nothing. I waited until 3:10 I call back and ask if the claim department call them and she said yes. So I ask what time will I be pick up. They don't know. They ask me for the address to were? And I'm upset because I have them the address in the morning when I made the app and I gave it to the manager Janine and know there asking for it again. I was told I was going to get a certain car they ask me this in the morning. Know the manager tells me that they should have never told me that and that they can't give me that car when they ask me witch car I wanted from what they had available. This is not my first time here at enterprise they always tell you what they have available and witch one would you prefer. This is my second time here at this enterprise in laurel and it will be my last go somewhere else because service sucks here. It's 3:30 and I'm still waiting on the enterprise people to pick me up. By far the worst location I've had the displeasure of renting from. Even though I had placed a reservation online the day before; when I arrived I waited nearly an hour for a vehicle. This wouldn't have been as bad had the sales associated kept me posted about why I was waiting so long instead of acting as if I weren't siting there at all. Then once a vehicle was secured I was told that it was being washed and would only be a few more minutes; 20 minutes later the car finally arrives. I have been renting cars a lot lately due to my own car having a series of problems. Enterprise has been my goto source since my mechanic is located really close to one of their locations. I had to get a rental after a long road trip, in part to get back to my car shop, and also because the work wasn't finished on my car. When I called and made my reservation, the person on the phone seemed to give me more questions than usual, and quoted a higher security deposit than the website typically does, but It's a deposit, and It doesn't get charged to the card, so no worries. When we finished our conversation he said call the location and setup my pickup. I called when I got off the phone, and they said call back when I'll be ready in 30 minutes. On my way (30 Minutes out) I called them, and they said call back when I arrive it's really close to their location. I call when I arrive, and they say they'll send someone right over. 30 minutes later I call them again, and they say they'll send someone right over. Finally 30 minutes later they show up. That location is less than a mile away from where I was, I could have walked there and back several times in the amount of time it took them to come and pick me up. Had I known their location was that close I would have just walked. I ended up missing a meeting as a result. I get to their location fill out their paperwork, and get into my car for the day. It's a little dirty on the outside, but I'm in a hurry, so I take it. As I'm driving I realize the inside of the windows are filthy. I had to stop at a gas station, and take some paper towels to kind of clean them off. It looks like someone exploded a soda inside of the thing at some point since there are shiny spots all over the plastic finish of the dash. Since yesterday I was trying to coordinate a rental truck to move items from storage unit & decided I would rent a car since I would need rental truck one way. This morning I called shortly after 9 am to schedule a rental and whoever the woman was on the phone was very unhelpful. I am retrieving items from a storage unit in Dagsboro, DE but when I mentioned Millsboro, DE, the woman replied, "WOW! Let me get you to the front desk.just a second." She must have thought a caller was clueless about drop off site but the two locations are near each other. I will NOT rent from this location or possibly any other Enterprise locations. This employee should know that when someone is moving it is stressful & a lot of decisions are made. The least she could have done is just answer my questions & be helpful! read more

A small location shared with Geico claims adjudicator, so parking is very tight. Wait is considerably longer than what you would get at, say, an airport. But the staff are relatively friendly, they don't hassle you about declining their coverage, and they have nice vehicles. I needed something big to haul equipment down and back to FL, and Enterprise was about the only place that listed Dodge Caravans. I actually got a Chrysler Town & Country, and liked it so much I'm thinking of buying one. One of the best things was the tank was 5/8 full, and they said "bring it back at least that full," as opposed to trying milk money out of you with prepaying for a tank of gas, or insisting on full (which would have increased the wait time). As with all rentals these days, make sure you take lots of pictures of pre-existing damage, and make sure they see you do it. When I brought the car back, the whole operation took about 3 minutes. read more

Run away. I had a rental car for 2 days back in August and had to swap out the car for an SUV to accommodate my daughter's car seat. When I went in to get the SUV the place was packed and they tried 3 different cars before finding one that fit the carseat. The attendant was rushing and just released the car to me without doing a walk around inspection. The next day I got a call my car was ready and returned the rental to the dealer. A few days later I was informed that there was damage to the SUV, scratches, which someone attempted to cover with a home done paint job. I insisted that the damage was not caused by me and told the manager a walk around was never completed. A few days later I received a call that they had determined the damage was preexisting and that the matter would be closed. They also said I would not be charged the additional $5 a day fee for the SUV because of my trouble. We are now halfway through November and after numerous phone calls and emails I am still being contacted by Enterprise damage claims department to recoup the money for both the repair of the damage and the loss of use. I keep asking damage claims to speak to their own local office to resolve and keep calling the local office to get copies of the paper work they told me they sent to damage claim so I can resolve this open claim. The local office repeatedly states they have requested copies of the paperwork but I never receive anything. This has been a very frustrating experience with still no end in site because enterprise cannot seem to communicate within to resolve this and even after numerous attempts to resolve it myself they cannot even provide me with the documentation to resolve it.
