I happened to inquire about an upgrade and keeping the car longer which she was more than happy to look into. The upgrade was more reasonable than keeping the car longer so we got an upgrade to Jeep Wrangler. Upon getting out to pick the Jeep options were plentiful. The manager m, Erica, was outside assisting customers with their rentals. She too was friendly and accommodating. The car was satisfactory and enjoyable for our trip!

I had a car for three nights and when I returned it there where no issues, the employee walked around the car looking for damage, seeing none he said I was good to go and left thinking it was just another normal car return. 2 weeks later I received a letter saying I owed them $1500 for hail damage even though the car didn't even get rained on while I had it. I was also told the guy who did the walk around asked me about the damage and I said I didn't know what it was from, which is a lie. There was visible damage to the car when I dropped it off. When they sent me pictures of the damage I couldn't even see any dents in the car just spots circled on the car. They then told me they use a special tool to find the dents and they are really hard to see. So basically unless you have this tool you can't see dents in the car?! This all seems like a scam to me. There are a lot of great people working for national but obviously not at the Kansas City branch.

Smooth experience renting from Enterprise at KC international airport…read more I was quite late when I got there and the Enterprise counter was closed, but a sign redirected me to the National counter (they have an alliance). No issues there, and when I went to pick up my SUV they upgraded me for no extra charge! On the way out, the person at the gate made sure I took pictures of any scratches or scuff marks before I drove off the lot. This is much appreciated and gave me peace of mind. The vehicle drove very well. It had about 11,000 miles on it, and the AWD worked like I needed it to. Return wasn't a problem either, but they could not print my receipt in the lot, so I had to go to the rental counter to get one. Took only an extra minute! Bus from and to the airport was a breeze. Looking forward to renting from here again if needed.

Got in the car headed down the road, tires flat. No big deal, turned around and aired it up back at home, and was on my way. While on my drive, I called roadside assistance - fantastic support - they said no big deal, stop by an enterprise location that's on your way to work and they'll switch it out for you, we already have a request in, they'll have all the info they need. Fantastic! Arrived to Merriam location, they refused me, nothing available and no other solution to the problem. Great, so fill up my tire and I'll figure it out myself. I left the Merriam location, called roadside assistance again on my way to work, roadside assistance called a tow truck to my location and advised me to keep the keys as this car was parked in a public hospital parking lot. It was out about an hour, but would pick up and deliver my vehicle to the tire repair shop noting it wouldn't have keys and it was unoccupied, and they would send me an uber to another enterprise and turn in my keys to swap out my car after work. Fantastic! Yeah. No. The tire shop called me and said nothing could be done without the keys. Here we go again. Called Roadside back, again, was advised, I was correct, do not give the tow truck driver your keys. Was told to have the repair shop call them. Great. A few hours pass with no update, and no ride home from work. So I gave enterprise a call. It's now my problem per the manager that keys weren't given to the tow truck driver, and I would need to find a way myself to get the keys over to the repair shop. Was even told to walk. Mind you, I'm a nurse who's currently working during all of this. The shop is an HOUR AND A HALF walk from my work. I calmly replied, can you get someone else on the phone who has a solution to this problem. No solution. I again called roadside assistance, they ordered me an uber to arrive after my shift ended to give the keys to Firestone and to have the tire fixed. They had already contacted the shop to inform them of the situation, and the shop advised they would be open till 7, no problem. Great, any help at that time is appreciated, I'm an hour away from home, I have zero other options than to just wait. Completed my uber to Firestone, Firestone no longer has the time to repair my rental. Again, without a vehicle, more than an hour from home at this point, I call my husband, who works nights to come get me because I wasn't getting anywhere and at this point had been dealing with the issue for almost 12 hours with no solution from Enterprise. I took it upon myself to call the original Enterprise I rented from because why not, I have nothing to lose. I would have saved 12 hours had I started there when they opened. He has personally taken it upon himself to take me to work tomorrow morning, drop the keys off at Firestone and arrange for me to come back to pick up the repaired car, or switch vehicles if I wish. Everything solved in less than 30 minutes. Imagine that. I will be calling my insurance in the morning to request rental from another company. DO NOT RECOMMEND ENTERPRISE TO ANYONE! Even if you're not paying!

My husband found this service, was able to easily schedule a pick up and Julie was right outside the exit from the terminal with a very visible sign that was easy to locate. She assisted with all the luggage; had the car cool with very chilly water inside and was a pleasant conversationalist on the forty minute ride to my destination. Thank you so much for your service. One star is even too good of a rating!…read moreWhen I arrived at the rental counter, there were no cars available and many other customers waiting for the next available car. After a half hour of waiting, I was given the keys to a BMW. A cursory walk around didn't surface anything major and I drove away. Upon returning the car the next day, the agent found a light scratch less than 1.5 inches, no dent; he took a picture, and sent me on my way. Two weeks later I get an invoice for $1666. The photo taken upon return was included with an inflated invoice for something that a light polish would have fixed. From the estimate it appears they took off the rear bumper and tail lights. This is obvious fraud. The next time I'm at MCI airport, I will take the time to warn anyone in line, show the pictures, and encourage them to rent elsewhere. Don't be a victim.
