Needing some work done on my car, which was going to take a few days, I decided to look into a rental. There's a super-handy Enterprise location for those on the south end of Lexington, located just past Fayette Mall, in Fayette Place Shopping Center. I had already made reservations, so with just a driver's license and credit card, it was a quick process, and I was on my way. Everyone was very friendly and helpful and the transaction took place on the sidewalk in front of the store, for safety reasons. I cannot speak highly enough of this Enterprise location. No one wants to be in a car accident and forced to drive a vehicle that isn't their own. Unfortunately, that's the position that I found myself in recently. They kept constant communication up to the point that I finally had a pickup date (my vehicle was still driveable so I didn't need to get a rental until my vehicle was in the shop). When I arrived they didn't have many vehicles (not surprising, it's been this way since COVID) but they wanted to make sure that I left with something that I was comfortable in. Since I do not drive much the vehicle didn't matter too much to me and I settled with a muscle car. It was a little awkward to get into (I'm pregnant) but I joked that I'd be right at home with the Winchester brothers from Supernatural. They explained everything in detail and made sure to point out every scratch or nick on the vehicle so that I wouldn't worry about being held liable for them. I had the vehicle for one week. Within 24 hours they had called to check on me and let me know I could swap it out if needed. Again since I don't drive much there was no need but I thought it was great customer service to follow up. I also appreciated the fact that I was able to leave the rental at the car shop when my vehicle was ready and they would pick it up so I didn't need to worry about the return. Abby and John were the best! Amazing customer service, respect and follow through. They listened. They delivered service and made a difficult situation so much better than it would otherwise have been (we needed a rental vehicle while personal vehicle was being repaired) overall, everyone we interacted with at this Enterprise location was excellent! They were busy busy busy every time we went in, yet they acknowledged us and made us feel warmly welcomed and we never had to wait long for friendly and capable service. Rented a few cars in the last month. One had such a bad alignment that you had to hold the steering wheel the entire time. The vehicles aren't cleaned the best at this location. Had a broken visor in the car. Last car I rented I had personal stuff in there the lady just assumed I smoked didn't ask just assumed and charged me 75. Never smoked also the car had no gas returned it with half a tank and she refused a credit even after taking an additional 75. Worse enterprise I have been too. Do yourself a favorite and drive a little farther to one that cares! read more

Had to rent a car and, due to the close proximity and previous dealings with this location, I opted for them again. Pickup is a plus. A newbie tried to coerce me into purchasing insurance, which I did not need because I'm fully covered on my personal policy. I'm guessing it depends which individual you're dealing with as to your experience here. Other than that, and a bit of a delay in pickup, the rental went smoothly enough. I was offered a free upgrade for my trouble, which I declined -- I didn't want an SUV. Brent and Josh are personable, helpful young guys. I suggest you ask for them. read more

This is the fourth or fifth time I have used Enterprise. I have to be honest: this is a business and they are there to make money, but if you do your homework, you can get a good value here. I rented an automobile for two weeks and received a clean low mileage Toyota Corolla for $354.00. The price was reasonable considering the high airfare to my destination. I like the free pick up (Some of the drivers accept a tip, some do not) and the location is great, right off Richmond Road near the Fayette Mall. They offer an AAA discount and, if you go in at , say, 10.00 AM, the line is not too long except on weekends. My only complaint: one year I was charges for a bunch of insurance plans I did not authorize (I resolved this to my satisfaction) and sometimes the staff makes unprofessional statements. Today, for example, the woman at the desk made a blanket statement to a male customer that "most women are catty." I certainly disagree, and in today's politically charged society where everyone seems to be offended by something, such statements are best said only behiond closed doors. Also, be aware that to rent the car you need to have a credit card or be able to furnish bills that show your current address. You can't drive away with an automobile using a debit card. (Fraudulent people have taken the rental cars, then closed out their debit cards and kept the cars!) read more

After arriving at the reserved time for our car pickup (confirmed the day prior by an enterprise phone call), our car was not there. Despite our reservation, they did not reserve the car. Reminiscent of the infamous Seinfeld rental car scene. A representative named Todd was argumentative, dismissive and insistent that he was offering me a good deal when he told me that he could give me one of the two cars that were there for an additional fee! He refused to even acknowledge the mistake was on the company's part. Instead he played dumb to why we would be upset that our reserved car was not there. Despite my having a reservation and Todd having cars, he refused to allow us to take a car without paying more out of pocket. It's extortion and a terrible business practice to hold people hostage for an upgrade fee. His defense was that there were other people in the lobby who also had reservations that he was unable to fulfill. Todd's defense of his poor service was that he was also giving other customers equally poor service. Even after delivering our car over an hour late, he continued to be argumentative about the situation and insisted he had done us a favor by finally finding us a car. Unreal. Avoid this location and don't buy what Todd is selling. read more

Enterprise on Nicholasville Rd really helped me out when I got in a car accident two days before my daughter's wedding. My car was totaled and I had so many things I needed to get done. They found me a car ASAP and I was good to go. After the wedding I had to buy a new car - STRESS. My insurance covered the rental for some period but I had not found a car by the end of the period. The enterprise team extended the rate for a few more days, giving me peace of mind and time to find the car I wanted. Every time I called they were extremely helpful, no hassles, no worries. Driving through Lexington with my daughter who is in town from Nashville. Enterprise driver comes flying up the street, right through the red light and creams my daughter's new car rendering it un-drivable and leaving her with no way back to Nashville. Enterprise driver totally admits it was her fault, she was distracted and was looking at the green light in the next intersection and forgot to look at the light she was speeding through. She did not have her driver's license or insurance with her...and yes, she was on the job. Her supervisor comes and brings her license and insurance to her. After 2 hours in the hot sun, we finally get the okay from the police to leave. There were 4 of us in the car and we asked the Enterprise supervisor if she could get us a car to drive. She said we could pay out of pocket and then get reimbursed by our insurance. What a way to drum up business...crash into a car and then offer to rent them a car. She left us with no way home from the accident site or anything!!! I have never seen worse care than this. The driver who hit us never apologized....as a matter of fact she screamed at us at one point. UNBELIEVABLE!!! read more

To save anyone else because it's obviously too late for me. Do not get a car through Glenn Ford and enterprise. They will overcharge you and think nothing of it. I was not aware of a $9.99 per day weekend special and no one bothered to mention it. I sincerely hope Josh from enterprise and Dan from Glenn Ford enjoy the extra money.
