I was hit by a deer. Yes that's right this poor animal trying to escape the thruway traffic put its head down and ran headfirst into my truck. Long story short, the deer Oh Brother Runnoft and I now needed another truck for the week mine was being repaired so Ive got to say my hats off to the young men at Enterprise of Monsey they found the truck I needed and these young guys that helped me were terrific. Everything was explained to me and they even picked me up with my rental truck and I am impressed. Everything in life should be as easy as these guys made it. My Insurance company arranged a rental with Enterprise. The Mahwah location did not have 1 car available. I called the Monsey location and spoke to Jackson the Manager. Very friendly and helpful. He had all my information and my car was ready for pickup. Upon arrival, Peter helped us. Also very friendly and informative. He walked us to the car and explained the information we needed to know. For the past few years, I rented cars from this location in Monsey, and everyone was helpful. Yesterday, I was given a car that had a hole in the car and was dirty. The car was extremely loud whenever I pressed on the accelerator. Also, the gas sensor did not work. I drove the car for 24 miles total, but the gas sensor said 90 miles. I filled up the tank, and the mileage never reset to full capacity. I dropped off the car, and Samantha asked me about my experience. I started telling her, and she told me that I was assigned the broken loud car because I picked the economy. I always reserved the same economy car, and this never happened before. This is after I watched her go over and beyond to help other white customers with checking in and did not even bother to ask them to do a walk through of the car. If you get Samantha and you are white. She will go above and beyond to accommodate you and make sure everything is perfect. If you're not white, Samantha will disregard everything you say. Also, people who rent an economy car for 1 day deserve subpar service, and company standards don't have to be followed. This explains the reason the clorox Wipes were not in the car like before, and she responded with sarcasm when I brought it to her attention. What happened to the days of renting a clean car? Have times changed that much or did businesses just stop caring because of covid? I was meeting a new client in upstate NY and was so happy when she suggested driving her own vehicle to the meeting. This SUV wreaks of strong marijuana, bugs in the grill, scuffs:scratches, dirty inside and out. To top it off, they wanted a utility bill from my business address before I could rent, despite my having rented many times from Enterprise using my business card. I didn't get to inspect the car inside before taking it off the lot since I got there just before closing. Budget rental in Nanuet was the same way last month. I've decided to purchase a company car and these rental companies want too much their rentals anyway, Just awful. I like to use Yelp for checking the ratings of the restaurants and places i visit. I took the rental car for the weekend of jul 3,4 and 5 from this location. I did not had good experience with them this time. I love the enterprise locations in California but this location in NEW YORK was not so impressive. 1. I booked the standard sedan from my enterprise account. I went on time but they did not had any sedan available. Guy said i can give u either a TRUCK or MINIVAN. Minivans look ugly when you are on a trip with your wife. Ultimately i had to take Minivan as i did not had any option. 2. I asked if you can provide me some discount on that, he denied and said it is a long weekend and we do not provide any benefits on long weekend. 3. Car given to me was very dirty from inside and was not washed from outside. it was not in a good shape. This was the worst experience for me. I've had wonderful experiences here. It was my first time renting a car so I was nervous, and the folks who worked here were both patient with me regarding my late train to town, and with explaining my insurance options and the total cost. They were so personable that I felt we were friends at the end of our interactions. I thought this might be the case for all Enterprise locations, but since then I've had the misfortune of renting from a different location in another state and it let me know just how special these guys are. Thanks for being friendly, relaxed, and warm. No surprise charges, no hassle about the gas, no scouring for technicalities to add extra fees. I had been a patron of this location over the last 2 years a few times, as it is close to the dealership for my car. The service went from decent to disgusting, I WOULD NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY. Upon pickup of my rental I was offered a car that had a huge stain on the seat which I told them was unacceptable. They then offered me a mini van as that was all they had. Why would I need a gas guzzling min van when I am 1 person. After lots of back and fourth and an hour and a half. They offered me a car that was being return, this car had a horrible body odor smell the entire time I had it, actually I believe the smell finally dissipated upon my rerun 2 weeks later. That day I left very unhappy with a smelly car that was equally unsafe a low end safety rating for driving. Upon the return is where it gets worse. I basically called ahead realizing that you need to prep them before you enter the office, to let them know I was on my way and I would need a drop off to my dealership. I would probably arrive at 12:30. Well I was told I had to arrive a 12noon even though they close at 1pm, I think this policy needs to be in bold when you make a reservation as they advertise pick-up and drop-off but have never specified hours. The woman who was the "manager" who I never encountered in past visits, was unaccommodating a careless, to the point that I had to get a ride from the dealer to pick me up. So I stood outside as I got there at 12:30pm until 1pm watching them drive off as I waited for the dealer. This type of customer service is unacceptable and I would not recommend anyone rent from an Enterprise moving forward I would use Hertz or anyone else. Good luck to them! This Enterprise has become somewhat tough skinned due to the shenanigans which are constantly thrown at them, I find them easy to work with and quick. They will pick you up if you book a reservation online, and if you aren't looking for anything too costem, they will help you right away. read more

Best Customer Service Ever I cannot say enough about the wonderful customer service or fantastic employees at this Enterprise. My car had to have some engine work, Needed rental. Enterprise because they pick you up. Well i just moved to the area and unfamiliar with towns. My auto mechanic was at 19 s main st - Spring Valley and so I booked with Bardonia. Thought my pickup was in at 19 s main st - New City. My mixup. Even though they are not too far, Bardonia Enterprise wouldn't get me. So I got a cab and said take me to Enterprise. Get there and they are like we don't have a res and no cars. Wrong Enterprise, cab dropped me in Monsey. So Cory, the best, said that he would see what he could do. I told him I would drive Anything. He had a Ford F250...sweet..Huge. He gave it to me for same price. Other customer returned it and said it was too big so Cory accomodated both of us. Gave them the regular sized vehicle and me the big rig. I realize the next day I have to pick up my mother for apt. There was no way she would even be able to climb into that cab even with a ladder. Cory had me bring truck back and gave me a minivan. great. I return vehicle. Get dropped at my mechanic. Cars still not right, had to bring it back to be fixed the following week. Rented from Cory again. He was understaffed and had me take Uber and he reimbursed me from my bill. No matter how busy they were I was always treated hospitably. Horrible experience, and very rude, Paul, the branch manager was very dishonest, first they tried to charge me more than originally agreed in the contract and when I made them aware of it instead of apologizing they tried to to overcharge me in other ways and acted very rude and even attacked me for trying to make them aware of what there trying to do. Bottom line I would advise anyone looking to rent a car in this area try to go with other Car rental companies like Hertz, Avis or Budget that know how to treat there customers better in any case try to stay away from dealing with this branch. read more

A pleasant and well needed surprise from this enterprise location in Monsey New York! For beginnings I needed a car for a week for visiting close friends, this has been my second time to New York and my first time renting from Budget Rent-a-car at the JFK Airport was abysmal and I was unfortunately left with no car. As I am 1) from Texas with no close relatives to stay with in NY and 2) am an 18 year old gal traveling alone, getting a car was extremely imperative. I called about a day before my flight to NY as my other rental planes had fallen through last minute and the representatives were extremely helpful, calling the branch directly and waiting till you press 4 gets you straight to a living breathing human which is always comforting. At 18 years old there's always a lot of stipulations and boxes to check to make you eligible as there's always a risk renting to this age group. Ryan, Brian, and Andrew all helped me out tremendously by giving me all the right information. They expedited my young renters application (which usually takes 24-48 hours) that is sent to corporate and they gave me a call the next morning saying I have a car for the weekend. Definitely received excellent customer service from this location and will use their service again. read more

While service was quick & professional this location's parking lot is extremely small with very limited space for customer cars and only one entrance/exit driveway. I don't know that any car rental service deserves 5 stars. It's like giving 5 stars to a commercial airline seat in coach. But my experience with this Enterprise location was "as good as it gets". Helpful, polite, knowledgable staff. The pick up and drop off service is of immense value. I appreciate that they can bill my auto insurance directly (my car was in the shop for repairs, and insurance provided most of the cost of my rental). I opted for the $15/day protection coverage initially, and then later researched and determined it was not a good investment for me. They gave me no trouble removing it a day later, and were professional throughout. read more

I reserved a hyundai sonata, came in to the office, they told me they had no sonatas and proceeded to give me a corolla, which I did not want, but they insisted. The corolla was really dirty, the carpets had holes in them and the seats were stained horrifically. I refused to take the corolla so they then gave me a nissan altima, which had engine lights on, tire pressure lights.. Ugh, at this point, I was so frustrated, I just took it. The manager was getting rude with me and she told me to go to another enterprise location. Very rude, service was terrible, cars were dirty, office had an unpleasant atmosphere. On 2/26 Sunday 9AM I called Enterprise and made reservation for two days from my hotel in Houston to return the car in the airport. I was told that I will be picked up at Hotel Zaza at 1:30pm and to call one hour ahead to remind to pick me up. I called at 12:30PM and was told that pick up will be there at 1:30PM. I went downstairs and waited outside for the pick up for 15 minutes then called again and was told that car in on the way. I waited again for 10 -15 minutes and was told again that car is coming. At 2 PM local branch was closed and I called corporate and was told that they can't do anything until the local branch will be open Monday morning and was transferred to local branch ( to whom I already left 3 voice mails before). Amazingly they picked up the phone at 2:20PM and told me that pick up is on the way and put me on 25 minutes hold just to hang up on me at the end. I waited outside for 2 hours no one came to pick me up. I send $100 on taxis getting around as all the other rental car places were closed by that time. No one called me Monday or any other day to apologize or explain what happened. I am very unsatisfied with Enterprise. Thank you. read more
