I had a very disappointing experience with Enterprise car rental. I was incorrectly charged for two days despite returning car within the 24 hour time frame. Car was returned in pristine condition. Multiple attempts to resolve the duplicate error and security deposit, still not resolved. Since mid-December, I've made 10 phone calls, received two separate reference numbers, customer service repeatedly promised that the issue would be escalated, and resolved. Unfortunately, nothing has been done, and I'm still waiting for a refund. The lack of follow-through and accountability is extremely frustrating. This has been an ongoing issue for months with no resolution in sight. Based on my experience, I will not be renting from Enterprise ever again. I take an Uber $80 dollars to pick up the car only to get there and was told we have NO cars available. They were unwilling to help me. The Enterprise employees left before closing time despite us having a reservation. Our flight was not delayed & was scheduled to arrive at 11pm to Myrtle Beach airport. When we got our baggage and headed to the rental car building we were told Enterprise had already left & we were out of luck. They also left other customers who had pre-paid for their rental. Alamo & Budget were out of cars but thankfully Thrify had some left. We would have been SOl Horrible start to our vacation. We had a car rented at the Myrtle Beach airport. Got to the counter and were told there were no available cars for 2-3 hours. There were several other families waiting also. We were stuck like everyone else, so we made our way into the waiting crowd. The lady working the counter realized we only needed a small car and called me back to the counter and said she had a car for us. This did not go well for the people behind us. They suggested we try our Costco membership for a discount and even denied us that even though we are in good standing! I believe we were gouged and the lady at the return desk wasn't even friendly. Our flight was delayed 1 hr last night so I called enterprise and they said we would have until 11 am the following day to pick up our rental (12 hr window). I called this morning to verify and they said we were given wrong information and they no longer have a rental for us! I booked this months ago and now we don't have a rental for a week! I'm so upset :( I can't believe nothing was done to make this right... no waiting list etc After emailing customer service as asked, there has still not been a resolution. I was told I would receive 3 free days at any international airport and that a coupon code would be emailed to me. I did not receive that coupon code. I was given the manager's contact information but did not receive a response. I'm going to reach out to CTA (California teacher's association) because we use only Enterprise and recommend we use another rental car company. read more

Can't say how continually disappointed I am in enterprise. I made an online reservation for a one-way car trip. I go to the counter and the kid tells me they don't have enough cars, so they cant fill my reservation. If you don't support one way reservations, don't take them. My preferred rental company Hertz tells me if they can support my request or not when I make the reservation. I ended up with Alamo and actually paid less than Enteprise. Definitely won't recommend (or use) Enterprise. BTW - I travel weekly and rent 4-5X per month. @enterprise you've lost that business for sure. read more

Please beware people these people stick you with charges on vehicle's I learned the hard way what they do is hand you the car keys they have no one there to check you out then they have a nasty person waiting on you to get back and they start blaming you for damages. Reservations mean nothing. Made a reservation a month ago and decided to stop by the agency to confirm the size of the van. I was told that they were glad I stopped by and that they probably would not have a vehicle for me, which is a few weeks away. No interest in finding me something else, just a sorry. I recently rented a car from enterprise Myrtle beach airport for less than 24 hours. I received a damaged car(black Jeep grand Cherokee). I immediately noticed the damage when initially inspecting the vehicle. I had to find the lot attendant to show them the damage who very quickly scribbled a mark on my contract and sent me on my way. Figuring that I had done my due diligence to notify of preexisting damage, I then returned the car 1 day later and again notified the lot attendant that the car was returned in the same condition with pre-existing damage. In BOTH instances the lot attendants BOTH stated that they recognized that damage from before. A few days after returning my vehicle, I get an email from the damage recovery unit stating that they're investigating vehicle damage. Despite calling and disputing this, they very quickly rejected my dispute and state that I am being held responsible for damages! Something is clearly wrong with the way that enterprise is running this location at Myrtle beach airport if they're pinning their customers WRONGLY with damage without ANY proof or evidence. I have tried calling this location numerous times and can't get anyone to answer. I tried calling the general customer service number and got someone who had very broken English and not able to help at all. I finally reached out to "care@enterprise.com" and someone emailed me back without a few hours fortunately and stated that they're going to forward this to the regional manager. I can't say that I have confidence that anything will be corrected at this point. I will continue to pursue this and possibly legal action if need be. PLEASE AVOID ENTERPRISE if this is how they run their business! I am clearly not the first person to encounter this at this Myrtle beach airport location. Edit to the response below: I have already reached out to care@enterprise.com as noted above in the review. No resolution as of yet. Update: Added one additional star. After many phone calls, long wait times on hold, and persistence, I was finally able to get in contact with Jackie from the Myrtle Beach Airport location who was very nice and took this situation seriously. I don't know why rental car companies bother to let you reserve a specific car online if they're just going to give you the opposite anyway. I know it's based on availability, but still! My parents and I rented a car through Enterprise last month and although we initially opted for a pretty generic sedan (VW Jetta I think), we ended up with a Jeep Wrangler that REEKED of cigarette smoke. Seriously, it was so disgusting and took the better part of four days to air out. A shame because this was truly the only issue. The staff were nice enough and efficient in getting us the vehicle. They have a great staff at the Gastonia location which is limited the Lowell areas d they are informed, up to date and very easy to work and deal with! I've travelled alot and this is the worst rental car company I've ever worked with. The employees are rude, unprofessional and not at all accommodating to their customers. We were given a damaged vehicle (headlights wouldn't work, a major problem when trying to drive at night) during our vacation and when we called to report it, took us over an hour to get someone on the phone. Rather than replace our vehicle, they told us to take it to firestone to get it fixed ourselves. After spending two hours at firestone, they said they could not fix the vehicle. When we called enterprise back and again waited on the phone, they told us to take it to a dealer. We refused to sit at a car dealer all day on our vacation and instead took it back to enterprise, where they were very unprofessional and yelled that they could not give us another car. I booked the car online to drive home to Michigan, never once did it say that this location did not accept MasterCard that was considered a debit. We fought with the company for over 3 hours, when we finally called the corporate office. The lady on the phone apologized over and over again, and actually told me to cancel the reservation and go through a different company. I am writing this review as previous phone calls and emails have went nowhere or not returned at all. My wife and I rented a car from this location the last week in June, the car was to be returned July 3rd. The vehicle was very comfortable. My issue was on July 1st I was pulled over by a State Trooper. He informed me that my Florida registration was out of date and had expired at the end of June. I explained to him that this car was a rental. He told me that he could have the vehicle towed and myself ticketed. Since our flight was very early the office was not open when we dropped our vehicle off. I did call Enterprise when I got home and was given a Reference number. I was told someone would contact me in a few days. I did receive a call from the manager. Since I booked my car through the airline they could not refund me but would send me vouchers for a future rental. Almost a month has passed and nothing. I picked up my car and it smelled like smoke. I thought it would dissipate, I even bought an air freshener but it was horrid. Like a cigarette smoker and a cigar smoker were having a contest on who could smoke more in my subcompact rental prior to me renting. 3 days into my vacation I couldn't take it anymore. Finally the paperwork saying how vans could be under one card was "found". Then they say they can't find the keys BUT had the paperwork. Confusing thing is I put the keys in the Dropbox WITH the paperwork. How do they have one without the other? Horrible service, getting the run around(told me to look in my suitcase!! So what they are telling me is that I parked the van, got out my suitcase, stuck the keys to a vehicle that was rented inside the my luggage, walked Thru security and got on the plane.).
