This location is the worst that I have ever dealt with. Terrible customer service. Don't even bother to try to call them. They put you on hold as soon as the phone rings without even speaking to you. You will be on hold FOREVER! Also, make sure to check your checking account. They withdrew an additional $50 along with the $50 deposit. I had to call them (on hold for 45 minutes before they answered) to get an answer why they charge me twice and they couldn't give me an explanation and said they will refund my account. I been renting with enterprise for over 10 years now , specially when I travel for exotic and full size vehicles, so I consider myself a regular customer towards this company.This location is the worst and if I have to travel extra miles to not deal with them I honestly will do so , recommend the same to anyone else. In the past I received terrible customer service, vehicles as well so I haven't rented from this location over 5 years now I usually go to 409 E Cleveland Ave Newark, DE 19711 . I was recently in a car accident, my car isn't get fixed at the body shop cross the street , the insurance company is paying for the rental. So the enterprise representative told me my closest pick up was this one in Bear . First the drive was late picking me up , than didn't have the Audacity to get out his car and ring my bell or call my phone he proceeded to beep his horn. When I got in the truck I asked him why didn't he call my phone , him beeping his horn was rude . He said the office said they didn't have my number and to beep his horn . So I just left it alone , when I got to the office , one of the gentlemen that worked there asked me my name and Licensing pulled my information up on his computer and read me my phone without me even telling him it so that was a lie on the drive side . My main complaint now is Its been over 2 weeks and Im still in a rental car and for the past 4 days the tire light keep coming on , I put air in it and it still keep doing the same thing. I called the office today to tell them my problem, the representative at this local office seem un willing to help it took him some time to found my contact, than I told him about the tire problem he said there isn't any available cars and nothing he can do . I been at other location in other states where even if your reservation car has been took for some reason. The associates at the location will tell me they will call around to found me a car . I asked him what about other location he said I can call myself to see if they have anything , so I just hang up . The fact of the matter Enterprise is a National company , beside all the business they get , to treat any customer as if you're doing them a favor and not getting paid for your services is bad business and customer services all around . In the past renting a car in this location I had to drive all the way to philadelphia to Castleton Avenue to switch a car out , the manager at that location was so helpful and welcoming towards every customer not just me . The worst thing is to get a flat tire and having to wait for someone to help you , this isn't my vehicle this is terrible. I really don't care how close Im ! I will never use to location again, if the services was like this at all enterprise I will take my business to other rental companies .. Update I called the days ago 9/11/18 and asked them if they can tell me when another vehicle is available so I can switch out because of the tire lights and they never contact me back, when they said they was its now 9/15/18 .. read more

I was very impressed with the friendliness and help that this specific Enterprise had. I haven't always had the best experiences with Enterprise, so, this was a nice surprise! The only issue, was the car was not ready when I had showed up, but, I think how a company deals with a problem says a lot about them-they were quick, effective, and apologetic for such. The even let me keep it an extra day at last minute's notice and one of the employees had lent out her own personal car that day because they were so busy. Very impressed. Would use them again! First time renting from this location. Very timely pickup and drop off. Excellent staff and services. Five stars for the service and staff. The vehicle I rented is the reason for 4 stars. I expressed my concern of poor gas mileage before my trip after seeing the average gas mileage on the vehicle computer display, was assured this vehicle has had no prior complaints and experienced the poor mileage first hand during the trip. It was a Hyundai Santa fe, gave a gas mileage of 17! I own an altima and get mileage of roughly 25 -27. That can speak for my driving style.. I don't speed unless joining a ramp, etc and spend majority time on cruise control. I hope they have better performing vehicles too. One of my friends rented from here and got a near-new charger with good gas mileage. Guess I had to sample the bad apple :( Just stay off the White Santa Fe and y'all should be fine.. this place has excellent and very hard working staff. read more

Very poor customer service at the Glasgow Delaware location. had a reservation 2 months in advance to make sure i got a dodge charger. when i finally get to the location(after being forgotten to be picked up from collision shop) i was told they had no chargers. was given a chevy malibu which i did not like. called the very next day asking to get the charger i had reserved. Was put on a "list" to receive a charger as soon as one came in. a week later a friend of mine rented a car and was given the option for a charger. i called the next day asking for the charger and it was not there anymore. asked why i wasnt called, and was told that request must of "slipped through the cracks of communication". currently still waiting for a call to get a dodge charger but doubt this will go through. also told them in advance my car would be in the shop for 3 weeks. so why did they call me only a week later asking if i had heard from the shop on an update? and on the same day they had a charger available but didnt tell me? read more

The absolute worst location imaginable. When I dropped a car off they told me I was good and would refund my deductible. There was damage on the car that was CLEARLY marked as existing when I picked it up. Days later I called as the deductible had not yet come off the card and I was told they were taking my deductible and putting in a claim with my insurance. After several calls with the Marlton, NJ office where I picked it up THEY were able to close the ticket... I am STILL waiting for the call back promised from Nick and his awful crew at this location. read more

Reserved rental and called this morning for a pick up. Told they would get me between 430-5pm. 5pm rolls around and no one here. Called and the person (Reese) told me she just talked to me and I stated that I didn't need pick up. Why am I calling to see where you are at if I didn't need pick up? When I asked you what number called you, you couldn't answer. Incompetence at its finest. Let's see how things go in rental office after pick up in a little bit. read more

We built down here in DE over 6 years ago and have been coming here consistently during this time. Service has always been great. Although the representatives working there have changed I have been able to still maintain good working relationships with this site. Two years ago I did have a problem with the customer service, but that employee no longer works there. Currently I have been highly satisfied and just told... I have enjoyed his service. read more

They obviously car about their customers, everybody from the managers to the drivers wash cars for customers and are constantly asking if they can assist with anything. They offered a free pickup and drop off service which made everything so easy and explained all of the features of the car- it was so great!! read more

This place is run on a culture of "look down on the customer." They're racist, which I personally witnessed and was a victim of. They refused to help me to the point where the "manager" AnRice (I wouldn't really call her a manager but they seem to be falling for it) wouldn't even get up from the video game on her phone to help me. I was offered a Hyundai Accent to replace my $50,000 SUV. They wouldn't even call the provider for me and told me I could get a bigger car if I pay extra. They then told me it was an availability issue and that I needed to understand it's a Monday. Not my problem. Terrible service, racist employees who would be better served riding the back of a garbage truck (which they would likely screw up) and a management team that couldn't care less about its customers. read more

Overall, unprofessional. They were supposed to meet me for a pickup, they were 40 minutes late causing me to be late for work. They did not bring me the car I requested, brought me the smallest car in the fleet. Something so easy and set up plenty of time became a big headache, and cost me money from missing work. read more

I had a pretty bad experience at this Enterprise in Newark, DE. The associate failed to disclose important information for me as a customer. I felt I was "pushed through" just to get it over with and the sad part is that I've only had pleasant experiences before. I wont ever go back to the Glasgow location. Rude associates. read more

I had a great experience up until it was time to return the rental. I was upgraded to a bigger vehicle because the one I reserved was not available. I was very grateful for that however, upon returning the vehicle on the day that I scheduled (Labor Day), I find that my car is blocked in on all sides. I had no issue with them being closed because this was communicated. I was told to park my car in a certain space before leaving with the rental. Had I known that I would be blocked in I would have kept the car another day. I was inconvenienced and had to call an Uber to take me home. I was without a car until they reopened the next morning. I had to call an Uber to get my car. When I arrived I explained my issues with them and they did nothing. I didn't even get an apology. Also my car was still blocked in when I got there. There excuse was that people just dropped the cars off anywhere. I'm sure this is true but there has to be a better system and as a place of business they should have better customer service when problems like this arise. If I ever need to rent a car I will go to another location. read more

IF I COULD RATE THEM ZERO - I WOULD..!!!! After having to put my car in the shop for repairs, I called Enterprise to rent a car for the day. The rep was nice but seemed to be in a hurry to get done with me. After making my reservation, I received a confirmation number via email. Enterprise could not deliver it because they were low on staff. When I got there to pick it up (40 minute drive), I gave them my printed reservation and they said they did not have any cars available. I asked why Enterprise affirmed a reservation for me when they had no cars and the guy said "Enterprise does it all the time because they do not like to say no." I left with no car and really mad for the inconvenience....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The way a company deals with a problem say a lot about them. This was a very bad experience all the way to the end. I will never use Enterprise again and warn anyone reading this to make sure they really have a car for you before going to pick it up..!!! read more
