After approx a month I returned my 87 year old Mom's rental to the 23rd street location. Upon driving up right before closing I was immediately met by advisor Taylor Luma with a huge smile, professionalism and nothing but positivity from start to finish. He showed outstanding interpersonal skills and caring that is seldom seen these days. He started out with concern about the entire rental process from the entire service to the cars operations. As he did so he processed the return efficiently and reminded me to check to see if I had anything left in the vehicle. I found out I left the trunk full of valuables I'd forgotten. As I was getting them out he searched the inside of the car and then returned my wallet I left in the car. Upon summing up the bill he found a rental conflict that I explained, he investigated (car insurance coverage versus billing) and went inside to remedy it. Although we could of been held liable he spent his time to rectify the matter in a positive way based on the full circumstances. After processing the billing he asked if I needed help with my property I removed from the trunk and then returned my key tracker I left on the key ring. He closed it out thanking us for using their service and location. This kind of employee, concern, service and professionalism is what is needed in this world today and left me literally speechless. Poor Service and Car Exchange Experience I called 1-800 about a noise issue, was told to take the car to any location for exchange and that a note would be made for an easy process. At the first location, the blonde lady said no cars were available at the moment and to return in the afternoon or visit the second location. I went to the second location, waited 30 minutes with only one person helping, and when it was my turn, the agent didn't even check my issue or computer--he just said I had to return the car to the airport in Destin, Florida, an hour and 40 minutes away. I called 1-800 again, and the lady told me to take it back to the first location by 4 PM to prioritize the exchange. When I returned, the manager refused any option except exchanging the car for the same brand Chevy Malibu or nothing. One full day of my vacation was wasted. The car I received was in poor condition--dirty inside, seats torn (I have pictures), and given with only a 4.5-gallon tank despite returning the previous vehicle with a full tank. I am extremely disappointed. Enterprise needs to do better. read more

Wow! Finally a large corporation that actually gives top notch customer service! I was greeted by Justin! Eye to eye contact! And a SMILE! He was attentive, asked questions that were vital to my situation! He didn't have a car then, but said come back at noon and I will have a car! I came around 1230 and guess what?! There was a car! I had to go to the dealership across the street down a ways to drop my car off for service. It was raining! I was going to walk back from the dealership. However, Justin said "no ma'am". We will pick you up! Meanwhile, I already did the necessary paperwork so he really didn't have an obligation! So, I went and dropped my car off, and called over to the Enterprise and Justin answered just like he promised! One of the wonderful employees came right over to get me! Fast forward to the day I was supposed to drop it off. I had to call to add another day, because of course the dealership didn't have my car ready. I paid a little more that day. However, it was just a few dollars more. On Tuesday, I went to drop my car off, and it was sunny and a little cold but I was as prepared to walk across 23rd street and get my car. I walked in and there is Justin! Immediately smiling! Greets me and instantly goes to check my car in. I never asked to be dropped off. After he was done checking the car, I thanked him for his amazing service! I went to walk away, and he says ok Ms Weaver, you can get in the passenger seat and I will get someone to drop you off. I was SHOCKED! I replied really?!?!! He replied yes ma'am. Not even a minute later, a sweet employee came, got in the car, greeted me! She drove me across the street! NOW! This is what the saying "Attitude reflects leadership!" I highly recommend this one establishment because believe it or not!!!! They are ole school customer service! Of course there is no perfect system, but I will say Justin and the employees at this location are AMAZING! Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU! BAD DO NOT USE They charge a 300 dollar deposit, and it has to be paid with a CC. No one tells you this until you get to the front desk, and then they are extremely rude about it. When I say they, I mean the snippy blonde girl that looks like she's just out of high school. Also it's well over 100 dollars for a car per day. I really have to say that these employees at the desk do not offer enough information that one needs to know to get a rental using your auto insurance benefit. I've been here stranded 3 separate times because I didn't know i had to pay a deposit, my debit card didn't have enough on it, then they failed to tell me no cash, and I was going to let a friend charge the deposit but the card has to be in the renters name. So I'm stranded again. You would think they would have some compassion knowing my auto was wrecked. Also its a holiday. I don't even want to give them 2 stars. Do not use this rental company location. They are very unprofessional. I rented a car from them last week. I rounded with Justin. He "marked" the damage that was on the car or so he said. I was not emailed a copy of this. I returned the car. Three days later, I received an email asking for my insurance on a claim. I never received a copy in my rental agreement of the damage already to the car. The rental agent that day asked me to pull up my insurance coverage. I thought that was weird but didn't think much of it at the time. I called this location to ask them what the claimed damage was and no one could answer. This place seems to like to scam customers. Our family has a corporate account with the Pensacola location and not once have we had a problem. I do not recommend you use this location. Their employees are rude and not helpful. read more

This review is for the dumb policy of having to use a major credit card and not being able to use a bank card AND for the higher prices. My husband went to go pick up a vehicle that I reserved. I normally rent a vehicle through Budget rental car, which by they way the prices are way cheaper and you can submit your bank card for a deposit (the deposit does not have to be a major credit card). Enterprise told us that they needed a major credit card and could not take his bank card. Then they came bank and said okay we can use your bank card but we need to secure a deposit of $350(which I'm okay with) and when you drop off the vehicle an additional $350 will be held by the receiving office (I was going to pick up the vehicle at one office and drop it off at another office). This reservation was going to cost $160. With Budget it cost $95. I didn't know about this outrageous deposit upon deposit until we got there. Bottom line: rent a vehicle from Budget. Just make sure you reserve the vehicle in advance. If it's near a major holiday like Christmas make sure to make the reservation well in advance. I was able to use a bank card for the deposit with Budget rental car. read more

Upon arrival we were greeted by a very helpful agent. He worked fast, and upgraded us to a Hyundai Santa Fe. The cars are a hop, step and a jump outside the door, yet they had a gentleman in a golf cart out there to assist. When returning the car an older gentleman assisted in getting our car returned (in the parking lot) and even called the man in the golf cart to assist with getting us indoors. My truck was in the shop for some warranty repairs so GM took care of the rental. I got a GMC Acadia. Was very clean, and well taken care of. This is the slowest rental car place I have been to. We had a reservation to pick up at 7:30. We were there before and had to wait until they opened at 7:30. Then once we got in and got waited on and we thought we would be good to go the lady said it's going to be a few more minutes they are cleaning the car. By the time they were done it was 8:20. Then it wasn't even cleaned well. It was smaller than we expected and they didn't have anything else to even upgrade to. So we finally left with only a half tank of gas I might add. We got back to the house got it all loaded and went to get in the car and my daughter can't find the seatbelt buckle. So I went to look for it, even raised the seats to look for it. Finally we called corporate and took the car to another enterprise and they made everything perfect. They upgraded us for no extra charge. read more

So we were planning a vacation but they wiped out our bank account and made us over draft our account!! They took $866. That hasn't happened in over 20years. Now we don't have any gas money to put in the car that only has 1/4 tank of gas!!! NEVER AGAIN!! They said I'd have to dispute it with the bank. DESERVES A ZERO RATING. Rude! I called to ask if cars were available at the location around 9 a.m. I was told yes, at 4:30 that evening. I was also told to arrive at 4:50 to pick up. So I booked and received my confirmation email. As I am taking an Uber to the location later, I call to say I'm on my way but traffic is backing up. That's when the worker told me they had no cars. I asked to speak to the manager, and he very rudely kept saying they had no cars, and he couldn't make me a car. I said I'm asking if you could contact another location since I am now almost there. So I'm going to be at your business with no car. He hung up on me. No effort whatsoever to try to remedy the situation. I wish I could give this A ZERO RATING. read more

Save yourself; drive to the airport and NEVER rent from Enterprise, particularly this one. I came in today after my vehicle was wrecked. I tried to pay with a debit card and was prepared to pay an extra deposit and provide any required documents. I give them a page of references, a current pay stub, and a utility bill. The manager, Randy Dudzinksi, who never came out to speak to me, said that they could not rent to me because both bills were from a different city, where my permanent address is. Multiple Enterprise locations have rented to me previously using only a debit card and the previously mentioned documentation, including this location. This whole ordeal took almost an hour, so I missed a big event that I had been traveling to. I encourage you to patronize another business who actually wants to serve you. read more

Once I came to pick up my car, they had no available car and told me to wait for returning cars. Very incompetent customer service staff they have. I would like to mention, that I normally receive above average service at this Enterprise location in Panama City on 23rd street, but this visit was an exception to the rule and a terrible experience. It all started after making my reservation and requesting pick up. I was told this location don't pick up at Panama City Beach, but when I arrived to pick up my car the couple in front of me had just been picked up at PCB. I did inquire & was told they had limited drivers. There was one couple in front of me and I ended up waiting over 45 minutes prior to being served. The rental agent communicated that all rental agents went to lunch at the same time and he apologized for the the inconvenience. I replied that I totally understand and no big deal. My reserved suv was dirty on the inside, only had a half a tank of gas, had a strong odor of cigarette smoke & the agent even complained. The agent did mention that he could take it up the street and fill it up for me, but after waiting over an hour by this point, I declined and requested a new vehicle. My total experience at Enterprise was unprofessional & a huge inconvenience. I was offered no discount by the agent after inquiring & I made the comment, I guess this is just how you treat your loyal customers and his response was YES! I must say that I was tickled by his honesty and I have the suspicion that's just business as usual at this location. This is not specifically about this location, but the company as a whole. We have always rented from here, mostly when we either need a larger vehicle to fit everyone for trips or a more gas efficient car back when we owned gas guzzlers. It used to be that when we rented a car, when we got there they had it, or at least something similar in size. The last few times this was not the case but because we were happy with them in the past we kept trying them first. This week my mother-in-law passed and we needed to make a 18 hr (plus stops) drive with my husband, myself, and three 20-something's (and all our luggage). Bit of tight squeeze for any of our cars so we went online and rented a large SUV with 3rd row seating. This was at 4:30 so everything else was about to close so we immediately went up there and were told they didn't have anything close to that and that they ALWAYS OVER BOOK and hope people don't show up. WTH???? Of course we tried calling other places but most were closed by then and we had to leave that night. Had we known we would have called around before then. So we are all crammed into my hubby's small SUV for 4 days of 10+ hrs each just thinking how absolutely sucky Enterprise has become. Ok. I am not a review writer but we just had an awesome experience at enterprise and the world must know. We made a reservation to pick car at budget at 12pm on a Sunday. Guess what. Budget is CLOSED at 12pm on a Sunday. We had ubered all the way from seaside to get to this budget in Panama City and it wasn't even open when they told us to be there. Our great uber driver volunteered to take us up the street to hertz which also happened to be closed. So we end up at enterprise thinking that this $200 rental car for the week is going to turn into something crazy like $500 because we don't have a reservation but we were happily mistaken! Ryan at enterprise made it happen for us!!! He made our horrible day so much better by making the whole process quick and easy. After this experience we are totally enterprise customers from now on! Worst experience I have ever had at a rental agency. Just moved to the area through the U.S. Air Force. The car we were given broke down in the middle of the road. After calling roadside assistance I contacted the enterprise on 23rd street to ask for help - a ride, another car, etc. I called at least 3 times and never received a call back. I finally found my way back to my hotel room. I called at least 3 more times asking for a replacement car and was told I would receive a call back. Never got a call back. I called again and was offered a 15 person van (instead of a mid size car) "until another car was available." I gladly accepted anticipating a new car the next day. After 5 days driving around in a giant van (very inconvenient), I finally had to sit in the agency and refuse to leave until we got a new car. I called the agency every day for 5 days and was promised "the next available car." When I showed up into the store I asked how it could be possible that there were no rentals available for 5 days: the agent admitted they have had cars daily. I just never received a car. Avoid this enterprise at all costs. I worked with Chad and Cameron - both made empty promises and only helped when I finally showed up with my husband in person. This is the worst customer service experience I have ever had at a car rental company. I will tell all my friends. read more

Cars were clean , they were very helpful, as the time of our vehicles being in the extended at first they worked with us, as the second vehicles time went past the set time we talked to the body shop and were told they had talked to enterprise, we went to turn the car in 2 days before the body shop said our car would be done , turned the car in on a Thursday so it wouldn't go over the weekend, and we were told we owed for 2 days, I told the young man I didn't know because no one called, texted or emailed and they had been very helpful about keeping up to date by doing exactly that. I told him I would contact my insurance and have them call him. Now it was only $71 dollars but the fellow calling was very very forceful about it. In the long run I went ahead and paid, I got reimbursement from my insurance, but I will think twice about using enterprise again, when they dropped the ball and blamed me for it. There are many other rental places around. It's not that I can't afford the over charge , it's more about the principle of it. Good location, very busy when we were there. I was early for my pick-up and they didn't have a car, so I went back to the hotel and waited for my scheduled time, they still didn't have a car but they upgraded me to the next level which they did have. A lot of people came in and tried to get a car w/o making an appointment and didn't get what they wanted. My suggestion would be to make an appointment for the car you want and not just assume they will have a car for you. These guys are OUTSTANDING in customer service, job knowledge and quality of their work! I am AD military and one of my vehicles was damaged beyond driving abilities due to hurricane Michael, so I contacted Geico and they reserved me a rental car through enterprise on 23rd and all I had to do was pick what vehicle I wanted. Upon arrival all they had left since vehicles were in such high demand was a Chrysler mini van. I couldn't use the mini van for what I needed so I asked them "May I get an SUV?" The response I was given was, "Give us two hours, and you will have a top of the line SUV waiting on you". And sure enough, two hours later I had a 2018 Suburban waiting at enterprise and was also given water, snacks, food and other supplies necessary for after storm survival. Am very dissapointed to find out I was charged for an entire tank of gas when I only drove for 80 miles! Called customer service and they said there was "nothing they can do" because the location I rented from put "fuel service" on the contract which I did not ask for and was not explained to me. I was told to contact the location and time many times with no answer! When I finally got through a very nice lady told me she was going to fix the problem and refund me for the entire thank of gas that they charged me $58.59. I was satisfied with her agreement to do so! The charges have posted to my account as of Thursday of last week and is the original price, including the additional has charge. This was my First time ever renting a car, and I went with enterprise because it's such a known company, and deal with family's of all sizes.. I was very disappointed, we didn't get the car we reserved, and the car we ended up with had many things wrong with it, one being the adapters didn't work so I wasn't able to charge my gps for our 12 hour ride home. It took the comfort and safety away from my family and I will not be using them again. I was having a car repaired on 15th street. Had read the 15 th street Enterprise reviews. Called and asked 23rd St Enterprise to pick me up and explained I that I did NOT want to deal with type "attitude" reviews posted by other "Yelpers" for 15th St location. They promptly sent a car to pick me up. Very nice driver in clean car. Randy Dudzinski, the manager, happened to handle me at the desk and brought a freshly washed car around to me that was in fine shape. Had to extend the rental twice while we waited for parts - VERY courteous folks on the phone. Returned the car on the Monday after Easter. Bad timing on my part - the place was a zoo! Spring break turn over and Easter holiday cars all being returned or being picked up. They were overwhelmed but the staff was cool, calm, and helpful with smiling faces the entire time. They were efficient and handled people as fast as they could. It took a little longer than I would have liked ... but it was quicker than I had expected when I arrived and saw the lot was overflowing with cars and people lined up inside. My original reservation (minivan) was ready when I arrived. The service rep allowed us to upgrade to an Expedition for a reasonable fee; he made sure we were happy with the vehicle and that we knew how to operate the seats, etc. The service was friendly and professional. Check in and check out was fairly quick. The SUV had two cupholders in the back that were dirty, but otherwise the vehicle was clean and drove very well. We rented a car during Spring Break and a scheduled air show at Tyndal AFB. The office was chaotic because cars had not been returned, were wrecked, and had been rented for VIPs for the air show. Everyone in the office maintained their composure and sense of humor. It took them a while, but we ended up with a car and a new respect for car rental associates.
