Troy and Natasha provided an excellent service for us in our need while in Plattsburgh. Because our car was undrivable (collision with a deer), Natasha picked us up and drove us in to the Enterprise facility to sign paperwork, pointing out various sights along the way (we were in the area 300 miles from home for a short getaway). The car had only 8000 miles on it and was pristine. We were in and out and on our way in no time at all. When I had some questions Troy was happy to help, patient and informative. I left my reading glasses in my rental car. I called the next day and spoke with a staff member who immediately said he was the one who had cleaned my car and he had my glasses. I emailed him a UPS label and he sent them to me. I was grateful. It did not feel like a big corporate exchange. I called, got through to the office immediately, spoke with a human being, and he helped me out. The car was just ok (I got the cheapest one), but the staff was lovely and helpful! read more

Nice! Made reservations last week for 2 days rental and at the time of the reservations noone told me it had to be a credit card and that I could not use my debit card. I understand you have your reasons for this but, to not tell me at that time I booked is Wrong! This SCREWED me for 3 dr appointments I had 120 miles away with my car going in the shop the same exact days I rented for and my dr appointments were for. Left me with a BIG headache as now I have to cancel my 3 dr appointments that took me 4 months to get! Do you realize how important it is now in this time with this covid19 going around to be able to get an appointment and KEEP IT!?!?!?!?!? Worthless scumbags, I hope you go out of business and with the way things are right now with covid19 it's highly likely ENTERPRISE can go bankrupt which I'm hoping and praying for!!! This review is about a month late, but better late than never. Cliffs notes version: Joe Harrison rocks! He is the man. He totally helped to take care of me and my family when the competitor who we were originally booked with gave us the WORST customer service. We cancelled with them and gave our business to Enterprise. The story: Our family had traveled at least 24 hours by this time and we were quite exhausted and frustrated. My dad went to his rental car location (a competitor, not enterprise) to get his car. As he approached the customer service desk he started speaking to the young lady behind the counter and said to her, "I want you to know that I am upset, but that it is not with you, but with the company." He then proceeds to explain to her that he was told by her company that he couldnt drive a rental car across the border, but come to find out (through me when I talked to them - see my other enterprise review for the 975 Romeo-Vachon location at the Montreal Airport) that he could have done that. She snarks back at him trying to say that there is nothing that she could do and then starts telling my dad how he has a bad attitude and basically doesnt want to help him. At that point I just about lost it and told her that he said he wasnt upset with her and that its her job being in a customer service industry to help the customer! Long story a lot shorter than it could be, we cancelled with them and Joe allowed us to extend the daily rental I got from their Montreal location. Bought an air/auto rental package through Allegiant Airlines on-line. The auto rental portion was through Enterprise. The Allegiant reservation document stated: "Please proceed to the Allegiant counter to pick up your Enterprise rental." The Plattsburgh airport has become so popular that multiple airlines use the same small counter space. As a result after I deplaned I approached the counter & there was a line of 50 people in line to board an outgoing flight with 2 counter staff. There was no other assistance available so I stood in line for 25 minutes to talk to the counter rep. (I was number 20 in the line of 50). The first thing they said was Oh, you didn't have to stand in line..., sure, there were already several people attempting to do that ahead of the outgoing customers. Anyway, I spoke to the counter clerk, and they picked up a cell phone and called Enterprise off site to come pick me up! I was told to wait outside for them. I waited a half hour. They picked me up & another couple that had called them. Took 10 minutes to get to Enterprise, and rental proceeded as usual at auto rental agency. I did overhear them inform the other couple that because they were leaving on a Sunday flight, they could just drop off the keys in the drop box, and then call a cab to get to the airport! This is in a town with very few cabs. I was returning my auto during regular hours, so I had no problems on the return, they immediately took me to the airport. They had no maps of the immediate area. I asked for directions to the Turnpike to go North, they directed me to the old military turnpike. I should have asked for the Through-way, which is the correct terminology for the Expressway North. The correct route was only a few blocks away. I found it myself, but a map of the area would have made the process less confusing. Without a locator map when I went to return the car I did drive in circles for 15 minutes searching for the storefront, which is not very well marked in a small strip mall. Note to self for future trips. Hertz is the only auto rental company with a counter inside the Plattsburgh airport. read more

They made everything regarding my trip to Plattsburgh for work super easy. A representative was kind enough to pick me up from the train and give me a lift back to their office. Once there, I was in and out in under five minutes and in an upgrade no less. Drop-off at their offices during off-hours was very smooth. The only downside is that they don't have a way for you to drop-off your car at the airport, however the staff at the office gave me all the information I needed to get a cab from their offices to the airport which was less than a 15 minute drive. read more

Superb customer service from the Plattsburgh, NY Enterprise folks!!! I had a car accident and needed a quick rental without a known end date. From the first phone call asking for a rental the same day, to the driver who picked me up on an icy day, to the counter people, every one of the staff were extremely helpful, professional and sincerely concerned about meeting my needs. Five stars to the staff (and the rental car was nice too.) It's been the only part of my accident experience that exceeded my expectations. Thanks to them all!
