A small but efficient and clean airport. I think I counted 3 total terminals and all Allegiant Airlines. We had a delay due to the arriving plane needing maintenance, but the airport staff that remained (most left by 8pm, security also closed at 8pm as a snow storm was coming) kept us updated. I had already eaten but the bar/restaurant (only 1) was also kept open longer which was nice. I like airports that are quick and easy to navigate and also clean. Flight cancelled because these people couldn't get the planes de iced. Several times we landed early and couldn't deboard, refused to open another gate. Place run by clowns. Trashburgh at its finest!! High rate of disability and low to no education makes Plattsburgh a breeding ground for ignorance and incompetence!!! Day 2 here. No food, no transportation but last night we were told to leave in the freezing weather. Today no food, no plan of action. Unbelievable situation. Employees don't seem to be in any hurry, don't care attitude. Time to start flying out Burlington again. Christmas is tomorrow and we're stuck in circus at an airport run by clowns. I find I'm the minority in my appreciation for smaller airports, but I love everything about the Plattsburgh airport. Only two carriers currently offer services out of this airport: Allegiant and Contour, and there are very few flights a day. Despite that, the airport is large, spacious, and aesthetically pleasing with tons of natural light! It's incredibly clean. There is ample parking and car return is steps from the door--no shuttles or long treks required here. Downstairs includes ticket counters, a few vending machines, car rental counters, baggage pick up. Zero wait at any of these (I got here only an hour before my flight and it looked deserted!). Upstairs includes TSA, which was a breeze to get through (again, no one in front of me), four gates, ample seating, lactation room, ATM, very small shop area, restrooms, a few more vending machines and, to my pleasant surprise, a restaurant! Yes, a restaurant and bar in this tiny airport, named The Rendezvous. I grabbed a lavender white chocolate mocha and a bag of Cheez-it, and it was 8.40 total--so comparable to traditional prices. All of that, but here's the best part imo: EVERY single person I encountered from the ticket agent, Janet, to TSA agents to airport police to the barista at the restaurant, Shawn, greeted me warmly and was kind throughout my interactions with them! Such a wonderful change of pace from other airports! If you love a large airport with frequent flights and all the perks of that (I.e., amenities), this won't be an enjoyable airport for you. But if you, like me, want to get in and out with as much ease and as little stress as possible, this is a great, highly underrated gem of an airport that truly deserved more patrons! read more

This airport is easy to get in and out of. The rental car desk is downstairs by baggage claim. The rental cars are a five minute walk outside. Not sure how that walk would be in the winter! There are no restaurants or shops. There is a concession stand with sodas, water, chips, Candy and packages sandwiches. This airport is built on a former military base. Downtown Plattsburgh is five minutes away. The airport only gets a few flights a day. There are chargers everywhere! read more

PBG is a regional airport that draws from a clientele that spans upstate NY and a huge catchment area in suburban Montreal. It is easy-to-find, with accessible parking typical of these tertiary market airports. Amenities, too, are typical: no dining hot spots to be found within 50 country miles, but, hey, at least 4 car rental companies are represented, albeit at quite a premium; be prepared to pay $60 a day fully loaded, and not the oft-found deals of $25 in major markets like MCO. Although it is great to have such a small airport, I don't see why TSA takes so long to check only one flight of passengers. If you're hungry there is only one little vendor and vending machines. It's nice to have only a few gates, so you will not get lost here. Lol. If you guys through budget/avis for a car rental you may end up waiting a little but we ended up getting upgraded to Sirius radio (sweet plus for me). This review is for the Avis car rental booth located in the airport. A Long, disappointing series of events caused my buddies and I to stop here at the beginning of a weekend roadtrip to Canada. Dawn!! was the ultimate sweetheart. Even though It was obvious she wasnt in the mood to be at work that early on a saturday, and deal with a group of exhausted, cranky, hungry dudes. Idk if it was our bleak outlook on everything at that point, but she definitely brought some sunshine our way. I won't blow up her business, but imagine a 2018 Mustang, fully loaded, w/full insurance, multiple drivers, for 3 days for a stupid low price. Definitely looking for Dawn if I ever have to rent from here again. read more

According to the manager this has happened over 2x in the last month‼ the flight attendant is "sick" on the arriving flight and welcome the entire town..sherif, EMS, fire etc because the woman has the flu...flights delayed, Then they inform us after an already 3 hour delay that there is something wrong with the plane and Now They have to have a new plane AND crew come from FL to get us... freezing terminal AC still cranking despite over 50% request to turn it off, TSA went home for the day, so we have no choice on 7/3 to stay!!! there are no other flights available in other surrounding airports. The flight was suppose to board at 4:15p BTW! Now we all over 70 of us to wait for the new plane and crew to get here until 10:45p to hopefully depart for 11/11:30p to get to FL for 3a (was suppose to land 8p Wednesday night FYI). They gave us vouchers! Really? I want my money back my time is money and I assure you I will never fly with ALLEGIANT airlines AGAIN! So they can keep the voucher NO THANKS i want my earned money back, for time i have permanently lost! read more

Small, easy to navigate, no food options really, expensive food, good service, most if not all trips require a layover in Dulles which is inconvenient, planes come with hardly anything luxurious, just basics, staff is accommodating and friendly. Would come again for sure though! read more

The bad about this airport: This is a small airport with very little plane service to very few destinations. There is nothing there. No coffee place or anything to pass time while you are waiting for people to arrive. The good about this airport: This is a small airport and if you have plane service to the destination you want (example to Florida with Allegiant) then the prices may be very low. Arriving and leaving the airport is a breeze, no traffic, no hassle. Plus the parking is free for up to two hours which is nice if you are dropping off or picking up friends. read more

Teeny-tiny airport in waaayyyy upstate New York. I think it is only an international airport because they do flights to Canada...but I kind of consider Plattsburgh Canada to begin with. I've flown in and out of here a few times because they offer direct flights to and from ft lauderdale through Spirit and Allegiant (though I think they may be seasonal. There are very few flights and very few gates so security is always a breeze. Be warned however, in therms of services this airport doesn't really offer much in the way of food or drink. I've been through this airport several times and accept it for what it is, a small airport with limited services and as a result ticket prices are lower. I have flown with Allegiant several times without incident. This week attempted to take my daughter with our grand children to FL for some family time at the beach. Arrived a bit late ( 30 min before departure), and we were turned away saying we missed our flight. No attempt to resolve the issue or re-book us. They seemed to enjoy teaching us a lesson for being late. Up until this weekend I thought Allegiant and the Plattsburg airport were a great asset. We recently purchased a condo in FL and anticipated regular travel through Plattsburg for all 7 members of our family. Many reading this will think, hey just get to the airport earlier. I get it. But can anyone honestly say that due to circumstances out of your control, you've never been a bit late for an event. Is this the kind of people you want to meet when this happens. Just trying to save someone else this nightmare. They've lost our business. Maybe you should try some other mode of travel read more

This is a great facility if you can get the flights you want on the days you are coming and going. We have flown To South Carolina twice, and Florida twice. Bilingual courteous staff. these are big jets flying on Allegiant and Spirit. Parking five dollars a day. Worth the commute from Ottawa read more

Not a very big airport which is under construction. I believe two airlines fly out, Allegiant and Spirit, will never fly Allegiant again, both flights were delayed, one 5 hours the other 4, and because the flights leave late in day any delay and you arrive in Florida early morning with those delays. There were only vending machines and a small vendor selling a small variety of products. Hard to find outlets to charge phones. Took ferry over from Vermont, next time will fly from Burlington, Vt. read more

Small airport, only one gate!! There aren't many airlines that fly through here but it was cheaper to fly in and out of here than it would have been for Montreal, Burlington or other nearby airports. The people are friendly, the place is clean and they were good at handling the winter weather. Not a lot of options as far as food goes so eat first! read more
