The real deal is they rented me not one but TWO lemons and I didn't get any lemonade! either First car: Nissan Rogue rode rodeo hard and needed a front end alignment like, last year. I have been calling trying to get through to a person about my upcoming rental for WEEKS and can't even get a person on the phone.

Staff were helpful, efficient, professional, and knowledgeABLE. THE CAR WE RENTED, a Toyota Corolla, WAS CLEAN, WITH THE proper AMOUNT OF OIL, AND THE TIRES APPEARED TO BE PROPERLY INFLATED. Drop-off was simple, and quick. We were 15 minutes late returning the car, but weren't charged for it. Rep ignored me for 10 min adult he was on the phone. Wasn't able to give me a car bc their credit card machine was broken and he claimed that it was my issue and not the payment processor. After my flight arrived I went to the rental car area and even though I booked with Enterpise no one was at the desk, but a sign pointed me to the Alamo desk. I felt really bad for the agent at the desk. She was the only person serving Alamo,Budget and Enterprise. She was really nice, and working hard, but we she had people yelling at her to get help. A great location too rent a car from. Picked up my car on a Monday morning at 8:00am. I was in at out of there in about 3 minutes. Returns are easy too. Returned my rental at 2:00am. On a Thursday morning. No problems. Just parked it, and took the keys in, and I was done. And great clean cars at this location. I will definitely rent from them again. read more

If i could give negative stars I would have. We had reserved a car in advance and arrived 10 minutes earlier than our quoted pick up timing. We waiting at the counter for almost an hour with no one to help us. There was a sign with a cell phone number to call Lisa. She never answered or returned our calls. The associate in Roanoke, VA was so friendly and helpful. I could not have asked for better service.

Received a rental car, reeked of smoke and it was dirty. I calked to report it and no one answered, left a message and no one returned my call the whole week I had the car. I even had clients complain about the terrible smell. I let the manager know when I returned it. He said he'd have to check with corporate to see what he could do for me. He never called me back. I called, he said he was still checking 2 weeks later. Now 2 months later I am still waiting. Called today and was told to call back Tuesday. Horrible customer service! read more

The staff at this location were very friendly and courteous. The vehicles are easy to find in their assigned location and returning the vehicle is just as seamless. However the product themselves were an issue and I will be complaining to corporate. My GPS couldn't locate my hotel that was built 2 years ago...when do they do their GPS updates? Also, even though the contract said no smoking, the previous patron clearly did. My clothes smelled like this within the 15 minutes of driving from the airport to the hotel. Well, I would've liked to rate this location higher, but since they refused to answer their phone when we needed help, they get one star. I have a car that is in the shop for a recall, and we were heading out of town shortly after I dropped the car off, so we decided to take the rental my local dealership offered through Enterprise for safety's sake since I'm 5 months pregnant. All was fine until we were headed back from the beach. While driving up a hill, the rental car lost acceleration and went into limp mode. We had to pull to the left since that was the lane we were in and restart the car twice. If anyone were close to our bumper, they would have hit us. I called roadside assistance for Enterprise and after much pushing (she initially kept saying there wasn't anything they could do because most locations were closed, knowing I was pregnant and in an unsafe vehicle) she found this location that was open and tried to call to arrange a car swap. They refused to answer the phone for her and she had to leave a message explaining our situation. Then I tried calling and had to leave a message. It's been almost 2 hours and I have yet to receive a phone call back from this location. Since it's getting late, we just had to decide to try and get the car home. As I write this, we are driving with the check engine light that came on after the loss of acceleration and praying the car doesn't stop on the interstate again. So thanks, Enterprise, for not helping a when a car from YOUR OWN company is messed up. Great customer service there. Edit: It is now after midnight. This location closed at 11:30 pm. I have yet to receive a return phone call, even though 2 messages were left explaining that something was wrong with the car. In my message, I explained that I am also pregnant and it wasn't a safe situation. So because of their failure to help in this situation, my 1 star review still stands. read more

This is the first not restaurant review I have ever done but I feel the service here needs to be recognized. For the last year and a half I have rented a car here every few months and have had nothing but top notch service. Every single employee has always been very professional and helpful. Some of the other rent a car places at the Roanoke airport treat you like crap like you are lucky they let you rent their cars. But the staff at enterprise treat you with respect, make you feel welcome, and go out of their way to help you. They make a point of remembering their frequent customers and let you know that they appreciate you coming back to them. Their cars are always top notch vehicles and are very clean. If you need to rent a car in the Roanoke valley give these guys a call and they will take very good care of you. read more

I have only been using Enterprise for about a month now (my previous company used a different rental company) and I have to say I've been more than happy with the change. I rent primarily from the Roanoke Airport location for a couple of reasons. The hours are convenient. I rarely fly, but use this location anyway because of the late hours. Much of my work requires early morning travel. I can pick my rental up later in the evening, the day before, and as long as I have it back by that same time the following evening there is no extra charge. The other thing I really like about this location is the staff. They're attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly. They interact with customers in a way that leaves you feeling like they are genuinely interested in making sure renting from them is a positive experience. read more

I had a good experience with this Enterprise location. I had my choice of cars and the car I chose was fairly new (just 2,000 miles on it), service was very good and I didn't have to wait. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions. The rental cars are close by- the parking lot is just outside the rental counter. We found our car easily and were on our way out of the airport in no time. I will use Enterprise again when I visit Roanoke. read more

I was extremely disappointed in the "car" I received at the Roanoke airport and the lack of any attempt by the agent to make it better. I contracted for a compact or intermediate car to be picked up at the Roanoke airport and returned to the Charlottesville airport. When I made my reservation, which was not at all cheap, my request was confirmed, but when I arrived at the counter I was given a Ford TRANSIT VAN and charged more. I explained that I wasn't a plumber or electrician and didn't want a larger cargo van. He said that it was the only vehicle I could have that they would allow me to return to Charlottesville. If they had explained that to me the day before when I made the reservation I would have used another company. As it was, it was 10 PM and I had an hour to drive that night. Needless to say, the van was horrible to drive in the high winds and rain, a bear to park, and an embarrassment to my son who was visiting colleges. I never ever recomand anybody to use this Enterprise, they deceive the cutomers, they tell one thing & do another thing, They charged extra even you book from another company, the manager was very rude I paid to hotwire $89 for 3 days but that enterprise gave me the extra charge $216 beside that I paid for hotwire $85, when I asked to the Manager he was very rude & mad, He told that I don't care what you did on Hotwire..
