Horrible experience, I recommend you look absolutely anywhere else. I scheduled a vehicle drop off for when my truck was getting dropped off at a body shop. They called and confirmed the day, the time and the vahicle. I have been at the shop for almost an hour and they still don't have my vehicle dropped off !!? They brought one half the size and told me I'd have to drive them back to their shop¿¡ That was not the agreement at all! I don't know if it's dishonesty or just poor performance. my family of 6 booked a mini-van back in March of 2026 for a Disney trip in July. When we arrive to pick up our van on the day of with excitement to drive to Disney world we were incredibly blindsided with the branch not having any vans or even third row SUV's. out only option they gave us was a 6 seat dodge ram. when we tried to work with them saying we would be happy to go almost anywhere else to pick up a van or a third row SUV or a 12 passenger van we were basically brushed off and told take it or leave it. I will never rent with enterprise again. It was the most non-professional I have ever seen a company act while also taking hundreds of your hard earned dollars. I would never recommend this company and especially this branch. Very disappointing. read more

Reserved a truck at night after my vehicle needed to go in shop, got a call the morning of worker was asking if "I could use a large suv because they only had one.... Then stopped and said i don't know if we will be able to get a truck for you today" tried calling back after work to find out if they had a vehicle no answer then get there and best they could offer was a tiny suv read more

Horrendous experience. I reserved a vehicle over 7 months ahead of time. When the time of my trip came about my license was in renewal processing in my state of residence, which does have exceedingly long processing turn-around. Because I didn't have my new license they would no longer honor the reservation. When I made the reservation 7 months ago I provided ALL my license information, including the expiration date, so they were fully aware that the date my reservation started after the expiration date of my license. However, their online system didn't prevent me from making the reservation. This error is entirely theirs and all they kept saying was "sorry for the inconvenience". Enterprise didn't acknowledge or own the fact that the mistake was on their end. Reprehensible treatment. I'll NEVER use Enterprise again. read more

I made an online reservation for picking up a car in the morning with all my info. When I arrived walking to this location I was told they couldn't reach me as they didn't have a phone number or email, so why did I put my info in then?, to inform me there was no car available until 2pm unless I would take a truck double the price with a $300 deposit. As I had no choice - what they probably do it for - I got it. The car had an alarm every time I changed lanes, it was so annoying. The car was too big but I had to work with what I had, but it ended up costing me overall more as I had a hard time finding parking so had to pay expensive private parking. Luckily I was on vacation and hopefully will never need to rent a compact car in Rochester again. read more

This location is open but has limited hours due to COVID. You check-in for your car at a table outside. Also, there is key dropbox outside if you can't return your car before store closing. The gentleman who assisted me was nice but they didn't have any maps of the area (in case my phone died or I did not have service in the rural areas of the state which actually happened for GPS.) The location is not in a very nice area of town. (Just a friendly reminder...you will need cash for NY toll roads...there are not many ATMs or gas stations near this Enterprise location.) Enterprise Car Rental at the Rochester Airport (ROC) charged me $50 for gas on a returned vehicle back in June which was full! I have two forms of proof - the date/time stamped receipt from the gas station on Brooks Ave and a picture showing the needle slightly past full taken from the ROC airport garage, I always take a picture when I return a car. The vehicle was nice, but lost trust is rarely gained back. My $50 is being refunded. read more

From the initial call to book my rental to when I returned it almost a week later, this small rental place was well accommodating, helpful and stayed in touch every step of the way. Despite a discrepancy on the bill, they still worked with me in a manner that we could agree on and be content. When I dropped off the rental, the sales representative was kind enough to offer me a ride back to my repaired car though their shuttle crew was booked. Thank you! We rent a rent-a-car twice a year and at first we had some issues doing it, this is a great location. The staff is helpful and they usually have great cars and or upgrade you for free. Always evaluate the car before you leave with the staff and ask them to go over things about the car, cause each car is different. Return if after hours you put the keys in a drop box or go in and it takes about five minutes. They charge you a flat rate of $300 and than when you return the car you get at least half of the fee back unless you had issues or whatever with the car. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. Lost the keys to a rental and it took SIX DAYS full of constant calling and following up with them before they put me in a different car. Niko was very friendly, but unproductive and Kevin was quite rude and unproductive. Staff repeatedly told me they were too busy, while I was stranded without a car for almost a week. Unbelievably bad experience, will never return. Enterprise corporation also is scamming people by giving them two keys zip-tied together, so they cannot be separated, but if one key is lost, they both are. Instead of having to pay for one replacement key I had to pay for two. read more

24 minutes ago-Edit This location on East main St has some very serious deficiencies in their inventory management. In early May((20) I reserved an intermediate vehicle and when I went to return the rental I had (SUV) for a smaller vehicle. They had no smaller vehicles so they said I could keep the SUV for the same price. After returning the SUV last Monday (15th)after renting it for a month, I went with out a vehicle for a week.. I went online this morning to reserve an intermediate car (Elantra or similar) that the reservation system said was available. I reserved the vehicle under my Gold card membership to be picked up at 2:30. Upon arrival at that location, I was informed that there were no Elantra's or similar available. Keven said he called me on my cell at about 2:10 to tell me there were none available. After checking my phone, there was a message but my wife and I were in the process of walking to the location so I could not feel the vibration. They had vehicles but were two sizes up(full size) and they could make a deal (work) with me on the price. The deal came out to be $100.00 more per week..lol. Either they fail to match up the inventory on a daily bases (mornings)to align it with the reservation system or this is a typical bait a switch move to generate more revenue. I have rented many times with this rental company and others an if a vehicle was not available when you picked it up, they would give you something else for the same price. So with the last reservation and this one they failed to have the correct vehicle available. SO with this location, either the management team is incompetent with inventory or it is a typical bait and switch scam. I called the regional office, no response. I called the corporate number at 3:00 no response from them after customer service said I would hear from them in a 1/2 hour. I called again at 3:30 as instructed and asked for the escalation department and they told me some one would call me ..not.. So my wife and I had to sit in the rain for a 1/2 hour as they had no benches and the office was off limits because of Corona.My wife and I had to walk the mile back home with no rental.I am sitting here at 4:53 and not one phone call from anyone at Enterprise. So beware of this location. I never had a problem with any other Enterprise location. I guess my Gold membership does not work at this location as I am entitled to 2 free upgrades per year, and as of yet I had not requested an upgrade. I asked to use it this time plus they should of gave me 1 upgrade because of their poor inventory control. With this rental it would put me in the top tier status, but not sure why they have the program if their rogue locations do not follow the policy. When I returned home and checked my price through the membership program two upgrades would of been only $23.00 a week more and she tried to get me in excess of $100.00 more. Fantastic service in general here. Was able to reserve on the fly, pickup and go. They even offer a free shuttle service to pick you up and drop you off before and after you pick up the car. Management here was very responsive and customer focused. They inspect the car at pickup and at drop off and send you out with your receipt which leaves out any guess work for totals. 10/10 would recommend if in the area! read more

She was knowledgeable about how late the train can run and had a plan in place to help me get the rental. Once I got there she remembered me and got my rental and me out of there so quickly. I rented a car over the very busy Christmas weekend. The small car I reserved was not ready on time. They immediately offered me an upgrade to a larger car. Since I couldn't use the larger car they did get me the smaller car I reserved from another location. They apologised for the delay and made the rental right. They were friendly and professional. This is my third rental at this location. Very happy with the service and staff. I ordered my usual economy category. I was able to do everything that I planned and to park in the smallest of spaces (important in downtown living), this time the car (Spark) was just a little too small. That was not an Enterprise problem and not a big problem in any regard. I will just ask in advance for a different car for me next time. read more

While I have had excellent service at the Victor, NY Enterprise dealership, my experience with E. Main St was terrible. My car slid on the gravel off a curvy, dirt isolated back road. I got it out of the ditch with the help of 2 kind men passing by and drove it gingerly home. I took it immediately to our local garage and was told it was dangerous to drive it. I then called Enterprise, 20 minutes before closing time, got a reservation number and was transferred to the car distribution reps who told me that there were no cars or people to deliver one! Curiously there was hemming and hawing before I was given the information... Before being transferred I had been told the opposite. On calling to complain at the main number I was told the corporate office would be told about my problem, but I never heard from them. I gave this review a 1 because the person who first arranged my registration was pleasant and efficient. Need I say the rest of the experience made what had been a terrible day worse. P.
