We rented a popup last year for a family camping trip. Our camper was clean and Dave was very gracious.

Meyers RV, Bath NY. By far, surpassed all expectations. A…read morefriendly knowledgeable group, from sales to service. Supported by the owners, and management team. A very hands on team! I had the distinct pleasure to meet Kyle Smith (GM Bath) at the Hershey RV show in Pennsylvania. Although this is a long story I will keep it somewhat to the point. I ordered a unit, it came in, it had multiple issues. Kyle went to bat against the manufacturer, due to all the major issues. Although brand new, the factory wanted to repair and return. Meaning return unit to factory, demo unit and repair issues. I had to cancel a trip already planned. The manufacturer was dragging their feet and Kyle pushed on. I know this is not the norm, nor should it be. But the issues were enough to make myself, and Meyer's RV, very uncomfortable if I was forced to keep this unit. Needless to say a deal was worked out. I am now in an RV I am satisfied with. Be mindful of the dealership and the issues they deal with on a daily basis. I was not very happy at all, and the service personnel and Kyle had to deal with a very upset customer. After I relaxed some I realized the dealership did not build the unit. My anger was misplaced. And I apologized to them. So be prepared. Manufacturers have decided to push units out fast, and let the dealership deal with it. Not fair for dealerships. In conclusion. Be very thorough during walk through. Have everything annotated. If issue won't hinder camping go for it. If it will, don't take it!

I bought a 2020 pioneer in Caledonia New York. I paid for a prep which I personally think prep…read moreshould be already done without paying for it but I paid for prep. I bought the five-year bumper-to-bumper warranty. It was delivered. AC kicked out. I realized that the water tank would not work on Electric only propane, I complained they came out a week or so later (the service guy is very nice) and the temperature went way down into the 30s so in order to see if the AC was working right he had to put the furnace on, the furnace was broken so he had to fix the furnace and it needed a computer board. He had to fix the hot water tank on the electric side. These things should've been found in prep, granite moving things around something things come disconnected, but a service guy doesn't see something disconnected and sees it doesn't work it's broke. I had a problem with the AC again. It popped the main breaker as the pole. I was told it was the campsite problem not the camper so the maintenance guy came put a brand new breaker in, fast-forward two weeks in between it was cool didn't really need AC, this past week it was hot. I was stupid and didn't come check it during the week during the day but I work from 6 to 6 in daycare five days a week, so I have a long weekend coming up and come out no AC at all, main breakers fine because microwave is working so it's not the breaker. I tried even the fan part of the AC nothing, I have no AC it's 90° outside either I pack up and go home and ruin my Fourth of July weekend or stay in a hot box. My call to Meyers went to the.GM service was closed, general manager said well it happens I said but I already complained about AC having a problem and they wouldn't believe me the person at the service place. Robin was screaming at me telling me it wasn't the camper. It was the breaker well guess what, it wasn't a breaker I am not happy at all. I paid $1500 for prep the wanted $2000 I said that was ridiculous. $1500 for the prep and I paid about 17,000+ tax and a warranty for my camper for it to constantly have issues. These aren't all the issues, I've have had many other smaller issues. These are three main issues after them supposedly prepping it that I paid for.

A&L RV Sales - Johnson City, TN…read more FYI, Service Department at Johnson City, TN Our first exposure with A & L was with the body shop after damage was received during the flood in September 2024. The body shop did communicate to us and complete the body work needed, no issue there. A&L had our RV from 11/24 - 2/25, (current date is 6/11/25) while we were waiting for the body work to be completed, we asked about local warranty service providers. The Service Department said that they could do that work, being an authorized Jayco Service Provider. Here is the list of items we needed fixed under warranty: 1.) JBL Sound System not working. 2.) Outdoor storage door lock and tumblers needed to be replaced. 3.) Window Blind needed repair. 4.) Valances on garage windows kept detaching from the wall, not installed correctly. 5.) Patio fencing unlevel and gate not securely closing. 6.) Leak in 1/2-bathroom sink. 7.) Issue with front slide bowing. 8.) Potential leak within the outer storage. There was multiple back and forth text messages, phone calls, and finally a video call to assist explain one of the issues (#6). We aren't even sure if it was fixed appropriately. It became apparent to us that the Service Department does not prefer to answer the phone or call you back; their mode of operation is email or text. Then the day of pick-up, imagine our surprised to see our RV along the wall by the Sales Department, we had no way of doing a final inspection as the slide could not be extended. We immediately noticed that the locks for the outside storage doors (#2) had not been replaced. It took three technicians to find the tumblers that were missing and how to install them, 1 1/2 hours later, we were able to leave and have the RV transported back to its location. Again, ABSOLUTELY NO CHECKLIST REPORT PROVIDED OR INSPECTION ALLOWED PRIOR TO TRANSPORT! Once at our location we were finally able to open the RV and extend the slides. Here is the fun part! Apart from one item (#3), nothing was repaired! Continuing our experience: Visit #1 - Brought out new (out of box) JBL Sound System - still not working. Visit #2 - Brought out second JBL Sound System - still not working. But the technician was able to repair the outer storage leak. Visit #3 - New Service Technician Manager came out and determined that the initial "technician" wired the system incorrectly - still not working. Visit #4 - Technician never showed up; after having to leave a message with the service department, we received an email explaining that the technician was not told about this service ticket and forgot his toolbox keys, when can we reschedule? Visit #5 - TBD!!!!!!!!! Avoid the Johnston City Service Department at all costs!!!! So much to say about how to improve, please answer your phones, supply your customer with a service repair report, allow your customer to obtain access to visually inspect the repairs prior to them leaving the shop, actually do the required warranty work, do not ask customer to trail back and forth the RV when you are responsible for the unacceptable incomplete work orders. As someone who has been in sales for over 39 years, I can't even put my head around the treatment and lack of service we received and if providing this type of customer service, I'd probably be fired or out of business. Finally, at to the point of utter frustration and I have left a message for the owner. Let's see if I get a call back or an email!! Wish me luck!!

We were told with our second camper the department was much better now and would not have an issue. Our roof on the slide out has a dip and water pours in when we close it if it rains. Told they all have a little water . . So now we get up there and push the water off. Had it winterized while we had it there. Pipe broke. We fixed it but they did GIVE us the pipe for FREE. Now we have a pin hole size leak on the roof. Told them where it was. Nope they didn't find it. And paid to have them look at it. So again we fixed it. Was told if there was anything we need to call since we already fixed it. That was their reaching out to us ... Now we paid for the extra warranty and this is only on this camper not our first one. Make sure you and your spouse can fix things or don't buy from here.

DO NOT USE THI PLACE. An awful experience. They rented us a marginally usable rv (after major work…read moreto get it to even that point). When we got to site (90 minute drive away) and started setting up we found the bed to be broken and unusable (support structure had collapsed). Called customer service and were told to bring it back to a site that was going to be closed until two days later (we had a four day rental). When I pointed that out, we were told they'd call to arrange repairs on site for two days later. Left with no options, we had to shore up the bed to make it usable, taking a good portion of our first day. The next morning we discovered that the grey water tank leaked (water just ran out- confirmed when tried to run water into tank to flush sewage hose). Privacy curtain missing, many curtain attachments missing/broken and many other issues. Never got a call for repairs and when we dropped it off, we got pushback on items purchased to make bed marginally useful. In an epic display of bad customer service, were then told by manager (Andrea) that it obviously didn't ruin our vacation as we didn't bring it back Monday Pointed out to her that, while technically we were able to adjust sleeping (my wife slept up forward) and showers (fortunately the campground had showers) that was not what we paid for. We then asked her if she'd sleep in that bed and she admitted she wouldn't. Still no budging on making things right and were told to talk to Cruise America customer service (next step). We've rented from Cruise America multiple times in the past and have always had a great experience but I don't know if we'll be back with them again- absolutely will NOT use this location again and strongly recommend others avoid as well.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY!! I had hoped that cruise america here in Buffalo would be okay…read moresince the bad reviews I read were only from out west, boy was I wrong. When we first got there the girl was being very over dramatic about issue they were having with another RV, she assured us that the one we were taking was in perfect working order, even though it had been brought back late and she didn't have a lot of time to go over it. Fast forward we get home to pack it and the cab AC is not working. I called customer service and they say "I am so sorry, just use the rooftop AC with the generator and we will credit you back. Call us at 8 am and we can see about getting it fixed" (it was 6pm and the shops were closed. So, we turn on the generator and the rooftop AC, finish packing and start out on the road. About 5 hours into the trip we notice everything in the freezer is thawing. I call customer service again and they say "Oh the sensor must have fallen, just tie the sensor up to the top inside the fridge and it will be okay, in the meantime we will give you a $25 credit to go buy ice and replace the food that was melted". We pulled over for the night, in the morning all of our popsicles were melted and the milk was getting warm, the fridge was at about 50 degrees, so we put a bag of ice in there to keep it cool. The freezer was at 40 degrees and all that was in there was a waste. We were four hours from our destination and had reservations so we pressed on hoping that we could salvage our trip. I called CS at 8 am and they said the closest shop was a few hours away in the wrong direction and that it would take a couple of hours to fix, instead we could just use the generator while driving to run the rooftop AC. So we do that. We get to Assategue Island, absolutely wonderful! We had two great days because the RV was just parked. We left a day early because our food had thawed, so we were running out. I did not want to be on an island with three kids and no food. So we pack up to head home. At this point it was 91 degrees and the rooftop ac was working but barely making it up to the cab part, and with the heat coming off of the engine we were dripping sweat. We pulled over and waited for it to get dark so we could drive without as much heat. Customer service told me to call the place we picked the RV up from to let them know that we were dropping it off a day early and tell them the issues it was having. 1- cab ac did not work at all, 2- fridge and freezer were not working, 3- vent over bed was not sealed properly and was leaking water from the rooftop ac, 4- none of the cigarette lighter plugs were working (no charging our phones), 5- the compartment that had the hose was locked and the key we had did not fit it, so when we dumped out the tank we had to borrow someones hose. The girl at the pick up place was very defensive about the issues. We told we would be there in the morning and work it out. We finally got home, cleaned out the RV and took it up to the drop off location. From the minute we pulled in the girls was very pissy (I think she is also one of the "mechanics"). She was once again over dramatic and snappy. Even though customer service gave us permission to use the generator she hassled us about it. She eventually gave us a credit for it, $58, but said there was nothing about the $25 credit for the food melting. She could have cared less that there was no AC in the cab and acted like we were stupid, even though while we were waiting for her the other mechanic told us that they had problems with the AC before we took it!!!! She in nor way offered a discount for anything that had gone on and when I told her if she didn't want to give us the credit we were told we would get or a credit for the things that went on, then that was fine I would take it up with corporate. She had been getting pretty loud and I had no desire to stand there arguing with her. (During all of this a sales person came in to see if they wanted some supplies and boy did she bit that sales woman's head off, so she just left). She printed out the closing receipt and said this is what it is, I signed it and told her to have a good weekend and left. I called corporate and apparently you can only speak with Customer relations via email, it will take them 5-7 days to respond, so I will be waiting a while. Bottom line,==King Automotive on Seneca in Elma was the location we picked up and dropped off at; they did not properly check the vehicle before sending it out and also knew it had an AC issue but sent it out anyway, the girl in charge of handling customers is extremely over dramatic, and very defensive. I had hoped they were better than the other reviews I read but they are not.
