When I went to go and pick up the car it took a minute because they were busy, didn't mind that to much but I waited because they said that they were "sanitizing" the car that I was about to receive. When I got to the car it was still dirty and wet from the "wash" that it just had been through. Got in the car and removed the papers out of the cup holder and there was a used tooth pick and flosser in there still. There's is pieces of old cheese in the car and there is a old smell in it still from the last person that used it. The vent is broken on the driver side too. Not impressed at all but really needed a rental for the week. *Clorox wipe is from me just wiping the steering wheel but yet they said they sanitized the car.

Wow, I rented a Kia Soul from Enterprise Car Rental at 1020 North Anderson Road in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The service was excellent, I felt quite at ease, and they went above and above to satisfy my demands. They were really helpful when I called to swap out my automobile for another. Also, I couldn't recall the name of the man who assisted me in returning the automobile. All I can recall is that he wore brown shoes. When I called the representative, Sari searched the office for a man wearing brown shoes and discovered Branch Manager Kevin. Thank you so much for all of your help and consideration, Kevin. And thanks for getting that wonderful young lady to give me a ride to get to my destination. Everything is much appreciated. AJ Team USA Olympics

I made an online reservation thru Hertz (not a 3rd party) while my car was serviced. The reservation was from 3p Tue to 3pm Saturday. I was dropped off at the Anderson Road location at 3:10. It was 93 degrees outside. The door was locked with a sign "stepped out for 10-20 min". After 10 min I called the number listed. The local employee told me he didn't know about my reservation because "they don't get alerts about same day reservations". Also that he was in Lancaster dropping off a "corporate car" but he would be back in 30 min. I don't know when he left the office but clearly a return trip to Lancaster is not "10-20 min". That sign implied waiting was realistic. I couldn't wait in MY CAR as that's what I was there to pick up. So I'm outside sitting on the ground 93 degrees. Also noted that the door stated the hours of business were 9-12 Saturday and closed Sunday. So what was to happen Saturday afternoon when I dropped off the car at 3:00? I would be stuck until Monday after work? $$$ After about 50 min I called him again he said he was 10 min away. When he arrived he entered store from back, walked up to door, removed sign and went back into store. No acknowledgment of me outside in the heat, the person whose been waiting...you know CUSTOMER SERVICE STUFF. I then texted my friend to come get me. He did come to the door and open it to look at me after that but I was done with Hertz by then. Then when I tried to cancel the reservation online using the app it kept saying "cannot complete request now". I went to Enterprise and was in a car out the door in 10 min same price and THE NICEST STAFF. Between the Hertz app and local support- I recommend you skip that Clown Show and go with ENTERPRISE

Budget Service Is Like Their Cars - Trash (Same location)…read more So I do want to say first that I did for a long time enjoy using Budget in the past for moving trucks to dollies to cars and such. Everything was fine until it wasn't, as in if every rental is ok, they are ok. If you have an issue, they don't care at all... I have met/talked to several polite and professional people that work for Budget and I'm glad to have spoken with them. However the few good employees do not outweigh the unhelpful, forced robotic polite drones that Budget has in their customer service. (And no I'm not going to give you a review for being unhelpful at the end of the call) So as for my issue. It wouldn't have been an issue in the first place if Budget set the expectation from the get go. In other words, don't promise something you cannot or will not deliver on. My girlfriend and I rented a midsize SUV over the weekend of the 23rd. It was KIA Sorrento, and we scheduled to pick it up at 11am. A friend of ours was coming in from CA at 12 and landing in Charlotte's airport at 12, so we didn't have any time to spare, plus I had work to get to. I also want to say here that one of the first false promises was the guy that helped us out over the phone for booking said he would "take care of the late arrival as long as it was delivered before 6pm." I know that typically most rental companies charge for extra time, however in my experience if you ask and are reasonable, they can waive that as long as you deliver it a little later, but with everything else checking out like a full tank, etc. So I was under the impression that there was no upcharge, because that was our verbal agreement. Now the KIA was trashed, I'm talking about McDonald's trash stuffed in the driver's side door, tucked under the passenger seat, and sticky stuff (probably soda) spilled on the center consol. Not to mention that the seats had streaks of dirt, it reeked of cigarettes, and the car itself was on a quarter tank. Huge let down. The problem was that we couldn't run back in and talk about it right then because of the time constraint and that was the only SUV they had at the time. So we had to roll with the punches, so I did the next best thing. On my way to work I called customer service. The guy that helped me was super helpful, he was going to make sure we didn't get charged for the extra gas and was going to compensate us either $50 or a 2 day rental voucher. I asked for his personal advice because $50 would have just covered someone else's gas, so not really beneficial to us. He suggested that should call back after we return the vehicle and explain the situation and we should get a few more dollars or a slightly better deal. I was ok with that because it was what it was. A few days to make another phone call wouldn't have been a problem. So fast forward a few days, I call customer service again to explain the situation like I was told to do. The wanted to charge me for a late fee! And that was after I was promised that it was waived. Customer service couldn't do anything because the local office didn't note it and the local office couldn't do anything because the account was closed. So out of my frustration I had to call back the next day and all Budget was willing to do was only compensate me for the $33 for the late charge. Both times that I was promised that I was going to be "taken care of" as a customer, I was let down and lied to. So the next time you want Budget, understand that it isn't economical for you, it is a low budget for the company. I'm going to spend the extra money for Hertz from now on because at least with more money I'll get better service.

He went out and sprayed water on it and gave me the car. He did not go around it to check as normal and I soon found out why. The inside no the vehicle was filled with DOG HAIR! I could not call and complain because I picked up at the end of the day. My husband and I had to vacuum and disinfect the entire care before we could leave! Later when we got out of town the oil light kept coming on. I tried calling the office and the customer service but was not able to speak with someone to change out the car.I dropped the car off and asked to speak to the manager who wasn't there. The guy at the front desk told me that there had been at least 5 people that day who came in to complain about the service. I WILL NOT be spending my hard earned money at this rental again!

Horrible customer service. An associate accused me of smoking because I detail cleaned the car…read morebefore I took it back. The fact that I put in 2 hours to make sure the car was cleaner than when I received it. So, if you're gonna l be a nice person and detail your rental before returning, don't use any fragrances. Long story short, my husband and I reserved a truck for rent last week. When we got to the facility to pick up the truck, no one was there. We waited 20 minutes in the office and NO ONE ever showed. We called the toll free number while we were there and were told that they were having computer issues and then their phone conveniently started breaking up and they hung up. Huge inconvenience for us! then we find that $50 was charged in our account for a "no show." Although the money is being refunded, none of the many people we were transferred to apologized for the MAJOR inconvenience we experienced. When explaining the situation to the rep and telling her all that we have been through and how we haven't received an apology, all she could say was "oh okay...sorry to hear that...everything has been taken care of and the money will be refunded in 5-7 business days." This is not how a successful company should be operated. Very poor customer service experience from a very dissatisfied customer. Treat your customers like they are important and that you care. Moving is stressful in itself and customers rely on companies like you to make things easier for the consumer.
