Mostly good experience until today. Gentleman brought me to the desk. Checked the cars available and said they don't have any that are not reserved. Next person in line came up. She was asked the same things. No reservation but a different gentleman got her a car and walked her to it. Normally I'm all for enterprise over others but this location seems to either favor ladies or recent people that have rented before. Very disappointing. I need a vehicle so I'll get it here today if there is one available. From now on though I don't think this is a reasonable place for someone without a reservation or that doesn't know the people here by name. Follow up: I did get a rental before they closed. read more

Came in for a car rental and they were totally out. No economy cars, sedans, vans, SUV's or luxury cars, all were tented. They had nothing available for the next four days. In the future I will make sure to make a reservation. read more

Story time. My wife was in a no fault accident and put into a rental by the other person's insurance (Allstate), which has been terrible to deal with. Allstate approved $27~ a day. My wife told Enterprise the approved amount. The person at Enterprise then said that it says in the system that she's approved for a higher amount, so they put her into something slightly nicer than the clown car that was approved. Because Allstate is also trash, they have us pay Enterprise and then they reimburse you...yes remember when my wife had zero fault? Surprising to no one at this point, Allstate is not going to pay for the additional cost that some Enterprise employee chose to make up? is told to try to uncharge people? hopefully she just didn't know what she was doing. Also surprising to no one, Enterprise isn't accepting any fault in this. But wait, there's more. Enterprise said that we should reach back out to Allstate, and also State Farm...our insurance company...In an accident that my wife has no fault of, Enterprise put her into something more expensive than what she was approved for, and are now trying to have our insurance company that has nothing to do with this whole situation, pay for it. The whole thing is confusing to me on so many levels. Why do multiple different Enterprise employees care so much about corporate making $100~ extra? In 2025 when customers have many option, and a lot of companies that have great customer service, why are both Enterprise and Allstate actively trying to get the worst name they can for themselves? It's so weird because it's extremely likely that I would have used Enterprise in the future because car rental places are all the same, right? Now everyone I ever talk to about car rental is never going to use your service. read more

Do not rent from this location. John the manager is dismissive and unfriendly. I reserved a premium car for a trip to my son's graduation for May 7th. Once there, I was told that they did not have premium car for me..they offered a Corolla or Wrangler--neither were able to seat the number of riders we were to have. All the desk employee could say was "We left a message." I asked for the manager. "John" only stated in a flat and unappolgetic way, "We left a message". No message was on my phone. However, they did call so on the Wednesday, May6th I called the number and spoke with a young lady that confirmed my reservation for a premium car. Staff offered no apologizes, no sympathy, nothing but a "we close at 6 o'clock". In fact, John told me that they could not rent to me because it would be 6:20 by the time they finished my paperwork. It seems I'm not alone in my experience with this company, particularly the Rock Hill store, where the staff often come across as unkind and vindictive. Their tendency to dismiss customers with lies and sarcastic remarks is disheartening, especially their apparent disdain for older individuals. Despite having a conversation, we were essentially brushed off with an attitude of indifference. I attempted to reach out to the area director for assistance, but my calls went unanswered, and the main customer service lines offered no resolution to my concerns about the poor Pathetic dervice and even that is being kind. read more

App allowed me to book a reservation and I was notified 3 minutes before my reservation started that there was not a single car in the entire Charlotte and northern area of SC available FOR ME. I've spent 150 minutes on the phone with 9 different Enterprise locations today as well as customer service and reservation services. I've been told three times that a reservation manager would reach out to me "in a few minutes " and hurried off the phone, to no avail. When I went to go and pick up the car it took a minute because they were busy, didn't mind that to much but I waited because they said that they were "sanitizing" the car that I was about to receive. When I got to the car it was still dirty and wet from the "wash" that it just had been through. Got in the car and removed the papers out of the cup holder and there was a used tooth pick and flosser in there still. There's is pieces of old cheese in the car and there is a old smell in it still from the last person that used it. The vent is broken on the driver side too. Not impressed at all but really needed a rental for the week. *Clorox wipe is from me just wiping the steering wheel but yet they said they sanitized the car. read more

Wow, I rented a Kia Soul from Enterprise Car Rental at 1020 North Anderson Road in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The service was excellent, I felt quite at ease, and they went above and above to satisfy my demands. They were really helpful when I called to swap out my automobile for another. Also, I couldn't recall the name of the man who assisted me in returning the automobile. All I can recall is that he wore brown shoes. When I called the representative, Sari searched the office for a man wearing brown shoes and discovered Branch Manager Kevin. Thank you so much for all of your help and consideration, Kevin. My Mom rented a car yesterday in order to get to a very important doctor's appointment. ( Her car is in the shop) She had arranged to be picked up at 12:15. No one ever showed up at her house. She and I both tried calling Enterprise in Lancaster SC and never got a answer. Due to her having to miss her appointment she's unable to get the medicine she has to take. Needed Roadside assistance a while back. They NEVER SHOWED up. Luckily I wasn't stopped on the side of the interstate all night, I stayed with a relative. Yes, I called multiple times and the contractor said they were coming. Never came. Luckily we got it started the next morning on our own. When I got back and reported it to the office, the guy in charge gave me a 1/2 a@$ed apology. Said I shoulda called him. First, I was out of state. Second, it was after hours. Unbelievable. My insurance company reserved me a rental at this location and so far all I've gotten is the run around. I called last night and they never answered the phone. Twenty minutes on hold to be transferred to someone in their regional call center. She tried to help but they closed before she could contact someone. So I had to pay for an UBER to go home. She told me that she would have them bring the car to my house at 9am. Nine came and went so I attempted to call the local branch again and was on hold for over 20 minutes before a guy answered and promptly told me he doesn't know what I'm talking about or who I even talked to but that they have no car for me. I made an online reservation thru Hertz (not a 3rd party) while my car was serviced. The reservation was from 3p Tue to 3pm Saturday. I was dropped off at the Anderson Road location at 3:10. It was 93 degrees outside. The door was locked with a sign "stepped out for 10-20 min". After 10 min I called the number listed. The local employee told me he didn't know about my reservation because "they don't get alerts about same day reservations". Also that he was in Lancaster dropping off a "corporate car" but he would be back in 30 min. I don't know when he left the office but clearly a return trip to Lancaster is not "10-20 min". That sign implied waiting was realistic. I couldn't wait in MY CAR as that's what I was there to pick up. So I'm outside sitting on the ground 93 degrees. Also noted that the door stated the hours of business were 9-12 Saturday and closed Sunday. So what was to happen Saturday afternoon when I dropped off the car at 3:00? I would be stuck until Monday after work? $$$ After about 50 min I called him again he said he was 10 min away. When he arrived he entered store from back, walked up to door, removed sign and went back into store. No acknowledgment of me outside in the heat, the person whose been waiting...you know CUSTOMER SERVICE STUFF. I then texted my friend to come get me. He did come to the door and open it to look at me after that but I was done with Hertz by then. Then when I tried to cancel the reservation online using the app it kept saying "cannot complete request now". I went to Enterprise and was in a car out the door in 10 min same price and THE NICEST STAFF. I have been on hold for 3 days... I had to call another location to even talk to a human. They insured me that the would have a manger reach out and still I have had ZERO contact. So far I have not had the greatest experience with Enterprise. I had to drop my car off at the body shop for repairs and a Enterprise rep from the Cherry Rd location came to pick me up so I could get my rental car. A different rep assisted me with completing the paperwork then took me outside to walk around the car and check for dents and damage. When she opened up the car door I noticed a strong air freshener smell. I told her Enterprise rep that I was very sensitive to perfume smells and I was worried that this smell would give me a headache. She really didn't seem very understanding and told me that the smell should fade out by the next day. The next day when I got into the car I noticed that the smell did fade but now the car strongly smelled like cigarette smoke. The smell was so bad that I noticed it lingering on my clothes and hands after driving. I called Enterprize and told them that the air freshener smell that I questioned the pervious day faded and now the car smelled like cigarets. I told the rep I spoke with that I believe the air freshener smell was strong the previous day because they were trying to cover up the cigarette smell. The guy I spoke with said that they would never try to cover a cigarette smell, he said if a rental was smoked in they would clean and shampoo all of the upholstery in the car to eliminate the cigarette smell. He told me I could take the car back up to their Cherry Rd location and they would get me a different, nicer car that did not smell. The rep who assisted me with changing the car out was very apologetic and understanding. She got 3 sets of keys and allowed me to smell the inside of 2 of the 3 cars. I told her that they both smelled like the air freshener. She got in one of the cars and recommended I try it. On the way home the car smelled like air freshener but the next day a cigarette smell was very obvious. I have not changed the car out again bc of the inconvenience and truthfully I think they all probability stink. When I return the car on Monday I will definitely let the staff know how disappointed I am with the odors in their rental cars. Hopefully they will understand that some people are sensitive to smells and how unpleasant driving in their rental cars has been for me. I rented a car from this company in April of 2023. Driving down Zoar Road in South Carolina there was an enormous pot hole, Since it was a very busy two lane road i was unable to miss it. The tire went flat. I contacted the dept, of transportation about the incident and they said they would pay for it as long as enterprise sent in the claim I couldn't since I didn't own the car. I have been dealing with enterprise for the past 8 months trying to get them to file the claim. I have sent them all of the pictures of the pot hole as well as the information as far as date, time, place, incident, phone numbers and emails for the dept of transportation. I have been shuffled around from one "specialist" to another over the past 8 months trying to make my life a living hell. Threatening to send me to collection. I have given them all of the information they needed and gave them the papers they needed to fill out to get the claim paid at least 5 times. This is a very easy claim to file and it should have been done in May of 2023. I will never and would recommend no one use this company if there is any chance of you having a claim. read more

I normally rent a car from this location once a month and it is always understaffed. The people normally are very nice. On Saturday I had a reservation. I waited for twenty minutes with only one person ahead of me. The gentlemen working said he couldnt leave to take us to our cars because he was alone. I then asked if I could just come back later in the day to pick up the car. He said no that was not possible and they didnt have any compact cars available anyway. I have always preferred using the cherry road location. Why dont you update your address.? You are no longer on Cherry road. That started my trip on a bad note. Then when I got to Charlotte airport for a flight to Japan. AGAIN the location drop off was incorrect and not updated. The airport location is blocked off due to construction. Can not drop car off on second floor as directions state. Fortunatly, I planned and had to move car to different location per a very rude attendant who made it clear,,, " NOT HIS PROBLEM" Thank god I was at check in and unbenounced to me,,,, my wife was the person being mistreated. The lady that was working that day had the Nasty's most Disgusting Attitude she stated " I don't see a Reservation with your name", "You can go get Serviced at another Location".
