This location is convenient for pickup on a Sunday. The office gets busy but you will get good customer service. My negative experience with this location is the cars are not cleaned prior to renting. The inside is not wiped down or vacuumed. I received a car that was just washed off and still wet. Not okay! However, i did receive excellent customer service from Danny! He helped with two car seats and made sure the car was cool for my nieces. I appreciate that because he was proactive. read more

When I tried to resolve it, the manager was unhelpful and asked for receipts the system had already overwritten. Picked up our car March 1 and returned it March 8, 2025. It was a smooth pick up. The worker there pointed out all the dents, scratches, and missing mirror part and then gave us the car. I've never rented such a dinged-up car before. It looked like someone took sandpaper to the car and gave it a unique finish. The missing back of the mirror was over the top. When we returned the car the gal had to talk to the manager when she saw the car and missing mirror place before checking us out. It was a bit slow on the check out time. read more

This is the closest location for a weekend drop off. We typically pick up on the weekend and if it's for a short trip return the rental late Sunday evening. It's in a secured area where you drop off the vehicle and the keys in the lock box, make sure to take a photo or video of the car when you drop it off. The cars seem to always have a bad smell as if the vehicles are not cleaned out for the next customer. This most recent pick up the rental didn't have gas in it. They offered to put gas but we'd have to wait another 20m and we needed to hit the road. Enterprise said just return the car back with no gas. And my thought was what if I didn't use all the gas..... frustrating to say the least. I hope their service improves. read more

I recently rented a car from this location. This Enterprise is in downtown Sacramento. It is a very urban location near a SacRT light rail station and major city bus routes. I made a reservation online. The car pickup line moved quickly. The associate l, Jett, showed me the car and he did a review of the exterior and interior. I noticed a dime sized ding on the back trunk. He said it will not be an issue. Paranoid me took a photo anyway while it was still on the lot anyways. Overall, It was a simple enough process for checking in and picking up a vehicle. I returned the vehicle at a different location. The return process at the other location was easy peasy and swift as well. They provide two identical car remotes. Both are wire lopped together, not detachable unless you cut the wire. The wire is thin enough to be easily cut. As long as you return both remotes, you will not be charged. read more

I made my reservation a few days before I went to Sacramento. I called in the morning before I walked over from the hotel to confirm. Mohamed was very nice, checked me in quickly. I had less than a 10 minute wait for my car. The process was so easy. When I returned Ray checked me out. Again very easy and friendly. The entire check out took about 2 minutes. There is an after hours drop off but I made it back before they closed. The process was easy. The car was clean, although it did have a slight 420 scent but it could have been the air freshener? Enterprise completely ruined my plans. I had a confirmed reservation, showed up early, and was told I was number 8 on the waitlist. They said it would be about a 45-minute wait and told me to go grab something to eat and that they'd call me when a car was ready. They never called. I tried calling the office, no answer. 1.5 hours later, I came back to find the whole place closed and locked up. When I knocked on the gate, they came out and basically said "too bad." The blonde girl literally sat there and laughed, acting like this was somehow my fault. Literally every other rental place had closed by then. I reached out to corporate, and they told me the general manager would call me that day. No one ever called. This location has a clear trend of not contacting people, not following through, and leaving customers stranded with no way to get where they need to go. Completely unacceptable and unprofessional. The blond woman needs to be trained again. Better bet enterprise will be paying for my botched trip. If you've had issues like this and the regional/general manager refuses to reach out after corporate intervention, I urge you to file a consumer complaint with the California Attorney Generals office. It can be done online. They will be forced to provide a resolution. read more

Made a reservation with a live person on the phone for a cargo van at 8:30am. Apparently they tried to call me at 8:55am to tell me they don't have what I just reserved. I was busy with work and didn't hear the call. Got dropped off at Enterprise, they took my info saw the reservation. And had me wait. 15 minutes later they tell me they don't have the cargo van I reserved. I do not recommend using this Enterprise. They did not appear apologetic at all and just stated "well, we left you a voicemail and called you twice." My phone had one missed call, but that's not the point. Had an 11am reservation made on website and someone finally came in after waiting for almost 10 minutes, with no one in the lobby except waiting customers. Got checked in then told to wait. They don't offer local discounts even though the one around the corner on Franklin blvd does. They gave me a military discount though, I think that is less off, but I'll take it. Okay I see another staff member lots of customers in the lobby the phone has been ringing for over 20 min and no one has answered the phone. They either finally answered after 23 min or whoever was calling gave up. Oh, just kidding, I think they are calling back now, but still no one is answering. I'll update the review after I actually get my car. Update been waiting about 20 min since I've been checked in. Phone is still ringing... Been here over 36 min altogether and still no car. I think they are short staffed. Staff is friendly just only 2 of them. More and more customers are filing in. There were 16 people in here waiting including me two just left because they were waiting too long. Still haven't got my car I will update when I do. Okay, called for my car at 11:46 they gave me a sedan, but I asked for an economy, so they switched it to a Chevy spark. I really like it, it's cute!!! I know they were understaffed and they apologized. It was just a bit of an inconvenience. They definitely need more staff at this location. Title: Terrible Experience - Stranded with Family for Hours I rented a car from Enterprise Rent-A-Car on June 15, 2025, for a family road trip. During the trip, we got a flat tire and were stranded in an unfamiliar city for over 12 hours. Our ride service canceled, and we couldn't get to a tire shop because Enterprise didn't assist with a timely tow or alternative arrangements. We reserved another car at a nearby Enterprise location, but when we arrived--exhausted, with our 4-month-old baby--there were no cars available, despite the confirmed reservation. We spent hours stuck on the side of the road with no help or compassion from Enterprise. This experience caused major stress, disrupted our trip, and left us feeling abandoned. I will not be renting from Enterprise again, and I hope others think twice before trusting them with important travel plans. MUST ASK FOR JULIAN! Julian was amazing to work with. I got a rental car while my car was in the shop for an insurance claim. He brought the car to the body shop and make sure I knew the car and if I had any questions. I unfortunately had to return the car the next day due to a check engine light which was done quickly. Lastly the rental car got broken into and Julian was helpful when I called and asked about handling the claim. Everything started off great they were friendly helpful even discounted my rental because i upgraded, Until the return of the vehicle and my deposit of 300 not fully returned because i was 15 min past the return time. I was assured at the time of drop off I would not be charged for another day and yet here i am leaving a bad review due to the fact I still am battling with enterprise to get the remaining of my deposit back. I will never again rent from this place I was communicative the entire time regarding being 15 min late. It wasn't a problem so they claim. Pro tip: if you need to pick up a rental car on the weekend, it might be cheaper if not the same price to pick up at a Downtown location on a Saturday than at the airport on a Sunday. After comparing prices and finding this was true for our case we decided to use Enterprise Car Rentals. We were happy to find they weren't too busy and got us on our way in less than 20 minutes. After checking in, Nick brought our mini van out to us. He didn't think the exterior was clean enough, so he asked us to wait 5 more minutes for the van to run through the cleaners again. This was fine with us but we really didn't notice a difference as the top still had some dirt and there were still bugs stuck on the front. Oh well. The interior of the van was very clean and thankfully didn't smell like smoke (like some of the other rentals we've had). We opted for the prepaid gas upon return as the price was fifty cents less than the local average. Actually, $5.50 was posted inside but the attendant had mentioned $5.75. When we mentioned the posting, he asked if we would opt in if we got the $5.50 price and of course we did. After checking the car for scratches we were of the lot and on our way. We drove the van down to LA and back. We didn't have any issues. The return was quick and easy and final price was fair exactly as quoted. Overall, the experience was good and I would rent from this location again. read more

I was in a huge rush and pretty upset about this when I came in, but Ray solved everything so fast. They had very little inventory, but in a couple minutes he was able to work things out and get me on my way. I've rented cars from this location at least 4-5 times now, and the staff are always SUPERB. Aleah has checked me in a couple of times and she is always a pleasure to speak with. She even complimented my 8-year-old niece's hair and made her feel fabulous. Little things like that are always appreciated! I've rarely had an issue with the cars I've rented here. One time, the car smelled like cigarettes when I picked it up. I was offered to rent another one of the upgrade vehicles at no additional cost, but since they were all SUVs (cars I didn't want), I was compensated by not having to refill all the gas I used. Other than that, the cars are always sparkling clean. The check in/out process has always been smooth, including the times I've dropped the vehicle off during after hours. All in all, I would recommend going to this location for renters in Sacramento! read more

This was a good location! The car we had was clean and they were very knowledgeable about their procedures. It's also very easy to make updates/changes to your rental. However... The cons: - They're expensive. As other reviews mention, this place is $20-30 more per day than the enterprise a few blocks away for the same car, and about $40 more than other rental companies in the area. - Their policies don't make sense. If you are out-of-state you have to pay with a credit card, you can't pay with a debit card or cash. I've been to enterprises around the country and never heard of this rule before. - Their selection is poor. Only one SUV and minivan for the entire store. They have tons of sedans though. I wouldn't mind going here again as the customer service was good, but I'd probably shop around to find something cheaper. read more

I had an amazing experience getting a car from here. I reserved the car online about 2 weeks in advance. When I got there it was pretty busy and I had to wait for about 20 minutes or so. I did not mind waiting due to the office being air conditioned and there being music. I waited for my car and aaron even upgraded me due to me explaining my activities for the weekend. All of the staff were very friendly and they all asked if I had been helped and I watched as they eagerly helped others around me. This is right down the street from me so I was able to walk to pick up the car so that was nice as well! Will continue to rent from here. read more

Absolutely horrific! I rented a car for two days and received an emailed confirmation. I was from out of town and told the phone agent that I wanted to purchase with debit payment. Total was only 200.00z. I checked out of hotel and got an Uber to rental car location. I had to be at an appt within an hour. I was told by one of the three young man at the location that if I couldn't provide three utility bills at my current residence (address matches Drivers license) that they only accepted credit cards?! Why was I this expressed over the phone at time of booking. Young man was beyond rude and the rule to only use credit cards is absurd! Makes you wonder what other scams are they trying to pull on innocent customers. Rude and inconvenience is an understatement. I left and got a better rate at a nearby Avis/Budget location. Will never use Enterprise or recommend service to family/friends. Would leave zero stars if an option. read more

I made a reservation with these guys and when I got there they didn't have a car for me anymore. These guys will cancel your reservation if you don't show up exactly at the time you requested the vehicle. The employee that helped me appeared to be the manager and his response was "you didn't show up & we rented the car to another customer". I asked him why he never called me to let me know and he did not have an answer and simply walked away. I Uber to pick up the car only to Uber back to my house to Uber again to a National Rental location in Sacramento .
