When we returned the vehicle, the return agent looked at the right rear tire and told us that, given its condition, the car should never have been rented to anyone due to safety concerns. "R/B TIRE" was written on the car's window upon return, apparently flagging that same tire. Renting out a vehicle with an unsafe tire puts customers at risk -- especially customers with young children. Budget should investigate how this happened, explain what its safety inspection found, and provide an appropriate refund.

She refused and stated only a company badge would do. I asked the counter attendant to wait 10 minutes while I went home and retrieved my id but she refused and said she had to close on time (I was only asking her for 5 minutes). DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET THE 2024 CHEVY MALIBU. IT HAS A STRONG SMELL OF CIGARETTES and honestly I feel upset because the AC was on full blast when I was brought to it to not show the smell. In hindsight I should have asked for a new rental before driving off the lot and returning, I take responsibility for that but why is a rental with heavy cigarette scents in the car and air vents with no smoking stickers in it on the lot rental stock list? Remove it from the lot and return it back when that smell is completely gone. If there is no available cars for the rental booked, let the customer know so they can come back at a later time. I'm very happy with the service when we came back in to replace the car, but don't do that "I'll turn the AC on to make sure the customer doesn't smell how heavy the cigarette smell is in the car" move. I tried to be polite and that was taken for granted, so good learning experience, but bad personal trust experience.

I didn't want an "or similar", so I came into this location, which is right around the corner from where I live. They've treated me very well in the past. I met Rehan, and explained the situation. He said he wasn't sure if he was going to be able to get me a Tesla, because it was a long weekend. (MLK day...) However, he did say, he would make some phone calls, and see what he could do for me. I called him back in a few hours. Not only was he able to get me a Tesla model 3, he made arrangements that I could pick it up here instead of going out to the airport, and for the exact same price that I was quoted online. I came out on Saturday to pick up the vehicle, I did the paperwork, he wasn't there that day, but the people who were there were very friendly, very helpful, they explained the vehicle to me, and I'm off on a fantastic trip. When we called the location later to get the breakdown David told us he could not check that for us and we would need to call a the location that we picked up the vehicle from. He then hung up on my wife when she tried to explain to him that we had just dropped off the vehicle and were given a final price. I called another location that was still open and they confirmed the entire breakdown of our bill. My wife then called the Broadway location once again to inform David that it could be done and he once again hung up on my wife. I will be speaking with his manager. It was very upsetting for her to be treated that way. She wasn't being rude towards him in the slightest. Simply trying to get information from him. The attendant that initially helped us and gave us our final bill estimate was very professional and courteous. When I called back he was willing to help us without question. His name was Rudy.
