Had a good experience buying a 2007 Mustang Shelby GT from GT Auto Lounge. I am in Texas so this was a long distance purchase where I had to greatly rely on Greg's honesty and reputation. In lieu of me hiring an inspection service, Greg did a FaceTime walk around of the Mustang with me. He pointed out both the positives and negatives of the Mustang and he tested lights, radio and other features during the FaceTime walk around. After we had made a deal on the Mustang, Greg and Aiden did a good job of working with my transport company and they also promptly overnighted the vehicle title and paperwork. We made the deal late on a Friday afternoon and I wired payment on the following Monday. Transport was then arranged and the Mustang was picked up four days later. The Mustang arrived at my house in Texas less than eight days after I had wired payment for it. When the Mustang reached my house in Texas I gave it a good looking over and determined that it appeared to be as described. In many ways, I found it to be better than described. I've worked with several auto consignment companies in the past. The most frustrating thing is unnecessary paperwork and terms around payment. I've been in situations where they held my check for 3 weeks after the car sold. Others were loading with hidden requirements that became problematic and add frustration around the sale. Lastly, employees that come access like car sales men/women. I didn't know much walking into Auto Lounge. Greg, the owner was great. He came across very personable and extremely knowledgeable around the current market/values. The setup process was so simple and the pictures of my car were amazing. We spoke a couple times around some potential sales but he never pushed me on decisions and worked of my request. I bought a '68 Suburban Restomod from them July 2022. Overall a very good experience. Sales guy was nice and they were pretty busy that day, mine was the 3rd car that was bought while I was there, but it's not like he kept me waiting for nothing. They're a consignment, so I don't think any of the cars are theirs, but they do all the DMV paperwork right there, just like if you went to a Chevy dealership. Upon the test drive, there were a few minor issues that they didn't say in advance, but it was minor and who knows how many times they actually drive the cars. I recommend testing all components, windows, a/c, lights, signals, etc... because there were issues and I said a price I'd pay and they spoke to the owner and 20-30 minutes later we had a deal. 90 days later and the '68 still runs great and I'm happy. I know just enough about cars to find problems, but I would recommend going with a car guy to check things out. read more

You know the old saying, "trust, but verify"? Well, in the case of GT Auto Lounge, it should be "don't trust, verify", or even better, "don't trust, buy elsewhere". Greg sold me a '55 Chevrolet last summer, after assuring me there was nothing wrong with the car, except perhaps a slight misalignment of the hood. I also spoke to the owner of the car, who echoed what Greg had stated. Having bought multiple cars/motorcycles off the internet over the years, without in person inspections, I bought the car, and there went my perfect record of not being burned. The car leaked oil, despite the owner telling me "he would never own a car that leaked oil". I mistakenly thought that meant the guy, (who owns a truck shop), would fix any oil leaks, but it evidently meant that the guy would instead sell the car. Greg had the car for over two months, which means he knew it leaked oil, but chose not to mention it to me when I asked if there was anything wrong with the car. And when I mentioned the leak to Greg, after I discovered it, there was no response. Ghosted. Other faults of the car included interior parts falling apart, (due to shoddy work being done when interior work was done), radio not working, air vent stuck, gas gauge not reading correctly, etc... Hardly "nothing wrong with the car", huh? And, according to the previous owner of the car, Greg didn't apply his MO to just me. Talking to him after the delivery of my car, he told me that when his wife dropped off the title to the '55, she bought a Challenger from GT. When she got it home and he looked it over, it was much less than advertised. He called Greg and got $10K knocked off the price. I guess he didn't get ghosted by Greg like I did... I've since resold the '55, and the new owner was very happy with the purchase, undoubtedly because he wasn't told "there is nothing wrong with the car". Learn from my experience, and if you choose to do business with GT, show up in person or have an inspection done on the car, by someone you trust. Personally, I wouldn't buy a pair of shoelaces from the guy. read more

I purchase multiple cars a year out of state sight unseen and have never had such a bad experience. Greg and i agreed on a price pending ppi. He then let me know he would not do the deal with a ppi and it was buy as is. Car was described in great condition with drivers quality paint. Spoke to my shop and they told me to trust the opinion of the shop that was working on the car for Greg. That was a major mistake. Purchased the car and it came with more than just driver quality paint. For starters he deliberately took pictures of everything other than the cracked dashboard and rust holes in the floor. Claims he doesn't take pictures and isn't responsible for that. Not to mention the wiper blades don't work. I asked Greg what he can do to help and he said nothing. Sellers beware. Greg, the owner, is deceptive and conniving. The check he gave me after selling my Chevelle was significantly less than what was in our contract. When questioned, he arrogantly tried to place the blame on me because I had told him the minimum amount I wanted to get from the sale after he'd called with multiple low ball offers. He then decided on his own that that was the amount he was going to pay me, regardless of the fact that he'd sold it for a lot more and that our contract was clearly written as getting a 10% sellers fee. He then added that there was another $500 fee that he 'normally' charges and was taking that amount out, which again was not in the contract. His arrogance then went so far to tell me that he did me a favor by selling my car! Even with a contract I couldn't trust anything he said and also makes me question his integrity on vehicles he's selling. I guess buyer AND seller beware! read more
