While the corporate call center was less than helpful (did not know the hours of operation nor the exact location of the pickup counter, sent a message to the branch but never followed up and the request went unanswered, and did not provide a way to contact the local SFB branch), José was fabulous for the return of the rented vehicle. He was very efficient, but also made sure items were not left in the car and was able to drop me off at the terminal since I have difficulty walking long distances like from the drop off to the terminal. Trayce and the entire staff at this location were friendly and helpful despite the late hour (midnight) of our arrival during a peak travel time, but we did have a reservation; they had very few cars left, and folks without a reservation were being turned away. What a pleasant experience when frazzled with traveling and needing to pick up a car. Rosa was a pleasure to deal with and answered all of my questions and gave me tips about dealing with the toll-roads that made my travel much easier. I didn't like the Subuaru because it wouldn't shut up about wearing a seatbelt and had an over sensitive lane warning tone that did not make my drive a pleasure but that is not the problem of this Enterprise location. Went back the next week and got someone else and there was a big difference in the way I was treated. If I had to rate the second person unfortunately I would give her one star. Another great Enterprise location! Just a short walk from the SFB baggage check/terminal. Long lines at other agents but not at this one! Walked right up and had the keys to my reserved rental in under a minute. The agent saw we had kids and even offered us a free upgrade to a new minivan. Settled on a Nissan Rogue which was brand new and drove like a dream! Return was even easier - well marked return area. We pulled in and an attendant briefly looked the vehicle over and gave us our receipt from a mobile/handheld unit. Great customer service!!! read more

I am a Florida resident. I reserved a vehicle. Go to the counter and Terrance is there to assist me. He tells me I need a credit card to hold my reservation. I ask him how much is going to be held on the card. He states "$200+ 20% of your total reservation. " my credit card limit is $750. He says the card is declined. He says he ran it for $995. He can't really explain why and is just mumbling stuff and the other guy John jumps in. John just shakes his head and says no. Tells me to go to a different location. He only called the other locations after I asked him to when I reminded him that it would be pointless for me to go there if they didnt have vans available . The kicker to all of this is that I asked how would you pay with a debit card when you return the van. His answer" we would just change the method of payment. " So you can take debit cards Enterprise just has stupid rules, I really don't understand what the difference is but this should be made clear on the website not in some fine print section. John and Terrance need to work on their customer service and critical thinking skills. read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I needed to rent a car to see my grandmother in the villages and the manager refused to rent my brother and I a car because my brothers' drivers license is partly chewed up due to my dogs of 6 months. She disregarded our reservation leaving us stranded at 9pm on a Monday. She had no empathy, spoke sternly, and threatened to call security as she wouldn't accommodate us. We had a seemless and top notch experience with this location. The staff were friendly, accommodating, fast, and got us on our way quickly upon arrival. When we arrived we were greeted with two from the attendance who checked her keys in car immediately. We simply needed to collect her belongings from the vehicle and head to the terminal. We landed in late Christmas evening (only about 20 minutes before the rental counter closed) but the staff was still very friendly and efficient. They had exactly the car we needed. After reserving my rental in advance, I arrive and the vehicle is not there yet. Then while we are made to sit out in the heat, we have to wait for my reserved rental to arrive. Once it finally arrives, the man helping did a spot clean and did not do a thorough walk around. We found damage from the previous renters that he did not see. Now we are being held liable for damage we did not do. I have had two other bad experiences with this same company but decided to try again because they are the only car rental company in Sanford. I would not come here again if they were the only car rental place in North Carolina. read more

This is the worst experience I've ever had renting a car, let alone renting with Enterprise. I am a gold member and adore this company. However, this location was horrible. Not only was there a 45+ min wait, they messed my billing up, attached the wrong car to my credit card, and there was 3 different charges. Full disclosure, the 2-Star rating is completely related to customer service after returning the vehicle. I would consider my experience with this location as a 4 to 5-Star otherwise. Within an hour of returning the rental car on 12/27 I realized my partner's sunglasses were left in the car. I called this location and the woman (I'd give her name if she had the customer service skills to identify herself on the phone) who answered the phone was rude, condescending and laughed at me when I explained what happened. She said they were processing over 1,000 cars that morning and couldn't possibly check on this. The rental car lot was a virtual ghost town when I returned the car 30 minutes prior, so I know that wasn't near the case. So, we logged the lost and found ticket online, however I needed to call back to get the VIN number for the car as it was omitted from my receipt. I had to call back 6 times as no one answered and the voice-mail box was full. The same woman finally answered and she did get me the VIN number. Overall, her rude behavior overshadowed my experience. read more

The staff was fantastic. We arrived at 8pm on a Friday night and I'm sure they had been there for awhile. Very pleasant, helpful and enjoyable. We upgraded to a midsize car and was very happy with the selection. Rented the car for a week and was never disappointed and had no problems. The return of the car was as easy, or possibly easier, then when we picked it up. Someone met us in the lot and after recording miles, etc. handed us our receipt and we were on our way. Rented out of Sanford (Orlando) airport for 9 days at the end of April. This was the quickest, most painless rental car experience I have EVER encountered! The reservation was accurate, the agent was friendly, efficient and helpful (amazing eye contact too). No ragging on and on about how I needed extra insurance or this or that. Highway tolls (and in FL there are many) came with the contract. I was told exactly, and right up front what the taxes and fees would be when I returned the car. I swear I was out the door and in the car in less than 5 minutes. It will be Enterprise for me from here on out if they do business this way everywhere. read more

The best experience! I rented cars last year in September. I didn't realize how helpful and professional you were until we rented from Hertz recently. Hertz at Longwood location was the worst experience I've ever had to rent cars. Renting Enterprise, your car will be ready on time! We even received XM radio and an upgrade! We were so pleased! We had a great experience. Our flight was delayed and we arrived 10 minutes before closing but when I got to the enterprise desk, the representative was super friendly, retrieved our reservation quickly, and had us in our (upgraded) car in under 10 minutes. The representative didn't try to pressure me into extra insurance (which had happened before even though my credit card covers insurance) and that there was no issue with the agreed upon rental price. I had a good experience with Enterprise at this location. The representative changed my car upon request and provided a brand new vehicle. Everything went smooth after that. My only advice to enterprise at this location is to provide visitors some info regarding Toll-By-Plate system in Florida.Although I usually avoid toll toads if I accidentally get onto a toll toad there is no Cash booth to pay which is weird. You can buy a sunpass to avoid a toll though, just an advice for first time visitors. read more

My husband and I traveled from Tennessee to Florida last week. What started as a sunny and warm mini vacation turned into a broken-down car and lots of rain. When the car stranded us, we needed to rent a car and called Enterprise to reserve a car for a few days until we figured out what we were doing with our car. After the decision to purchase a new car was made, we bought a car and started the journey home. My husband discovered he was missing his prescription glasses. He thought he left them in the rental car that was over 100 miles in our rearview mirror. He called Enterprise and was put in touch with the Lost and Found Dept at the Orlando airport. He spoke with Meliah Adams about his missing glasses. She looked in her box and did not find such glasses. She even took it upon herself to go outside and look in the car for them. Nothing. She took his name and number, just in case they would happen to show up. This was on Monday, the 11th of February. Today, the 14th of February, I received a phone call from Meliah Adams. She felt that she was in possession of his glasses. She went above and beyond by texting me 3 pictures of the glasses to determine if they were his. And they were!!! She took it yet a step further and offered to overnight the glasses to us. She was so pleasant to talk with and a great representative for Enterprise. In a world where there is such negativity it sure is nice to find that one diamond in the rough, one who is willing to think of Enterprise customers as more than just a customer. The flight was late by 2 hours (11PM) but counter staff was cheerful, helpful, and had us on our way quickly. I would say that the Chrysler 200 we rented had some very bad blind spots caused by head rests and of all things, the rear view mirror, I wouldn't rent one of these again. read more
