It felt like she was using her power to do whatever she wants, with zero regard for the customer. This is not how a major company like Hertz should be represented. I later found dozens of reviews complaining about the exact same behavior from the same manager. Even the police were involved -- and they understood and supported me. Upon arriving, they quickly showed her a car, which had some big dents and said that was all they had. We left and realized that the car smelled of cigarettes. Since the windows were open, we didn't realize it until we were well on our way on the highway to visit a friend. We immediately called to complain about the two issues. The woman stated that they only had a minivan which we would have to pay extra for, and that she would call us back about the smell in the car. As you can figure out, she never returned our call.
