This is the first time renting a car from this business and location. This review is mainly about the service, not the car. My husband reserved a car online a couple of days before we picked it up. Catherine was the employee who checked us in. We found her to be very friendly and efficient. She spent quite a bit of time with us explaining the details of the rental policy. Also let us know that the tank was less than half full and we only had to have it filled up to that point when we returned it. Also walked around the car with us to check for any dings etc before we took off. She also pointed out that we would not be charged for any minor damage within a certain diameter of a circle. She was excellent as far as customer service goes. Very personable and made you feel comfortable. Upon our return, Josh helped check us back in and checked the car before completing the credit card transaction. He said he emailed us the receipt but the next day my husband said it was not in his email inbox. We called and spoke with Catherine and she immediately sent out 2 emails to make sure we received them, which we did. Before we left the office, I asked Josh about Enterprise's policy on tolls. (We had borrowed a relative's EZPass but I wasn't sure the sensor registered it every time a toll was supposed to be paid.). Josh told us Enterprise has a surcharge of $4/day regardless of how many tolls you pay. Cheaper than another rental car company which added an extra charge for every toll using their EZPass. I would most likely rent a car from this location again as the service was exceptional. (The exterior of the car was not clean and Catherine apologized for that but for us it was not a deal breaker. (We drove from Long Island to southern New Jersey and back again.) read more

When my 6 month old Hyundai Ioniq 5 was sideswiped, the other driver's carrier provided a rental through Enterprise while mine was in the shop. The car was fine but the staff in the Syosset office was amazing. Catherine and her team could not have been any nicer, helpful or more competent, even calling me a few days into the rental to make sure that all was ok with the car. Do NOT rent from this location unless you like terrible customer service or bait and switch tactics. I make an online reservation 1 month in advance for a luxury full size sedan rental for a special occasion. I received a call two days before my pick up to confirm my reservation and to notify me of additional documents needed due to the type of car I selected. I call the morning of prior to pick up and was told everything was in order. Arrived at the location at my pick up time only to be told they did not have my car in stock and I would have to take a a random SUV. The blonde women behind the counter did not offer any other solution besides telling me to try calling the great neck location myself since they have exotic cars. Called customer service who advised me to go to Hicksville who did not have any car in stock and Great neck. Shout out to Mark at the great neck location for outstanding customer service, he heard out my story and called another location on my behalf to get a comparable car and make sure they held it and honored my original price. Even the staff at great neck agreed that if a car is booked a month in advance the store should have guaranteed it. The customer should not be the one driving to multiple locations trying to track down inventory when I did my due diligence and booked 1 month rental in advance!! Car rental. Having the need to rent a car recently, I used Enterprise because they were A) close to where I live and B) have some sort of deal with my insurance company. Great from start to finish- they set me up in a few minutes and had all the insurance info sent to them electronically - saving me a lot of hassle. The only down side is this location, like many Enterprise locations, is more of a satellite office - so they only have one or two cars available. They discuss what you want over the phone and when you get there the car is waiting. If you get there early however, there is no car as the cars are kept in a yard somewhere and they run them to the various locations as needed - odd but that is how they do it. We worked it out and I took the one that was available for the same price as the one I asked for so it all worked out in the end. read more

I had a car accident. Art from J&M Auto body dropped me off at Syosset Enterprise on May 9 at 5:30 pm. The rep from Enterprise told me that Allstate will cover up to $40 a day, so I upgraded to the next level car Audi for $48 a day. When I rented Audi that was covered with pollen and dirty. That was a first problem. I went to J&M Auto body to pick up my Nissan Rogue after I received the check from Allstate on May 23 around 4:30 pm, and left Audi there as what Art told me to do. I never received anything from Enterprise about the rental bill until June 1. So I checked into the Citicard online and found that Enterprise charged me for 21 days. After I complained to them, they credit me back for 6 days. Enterprise still charged me for 15 days instead of 14 days. I emailed the bill to Allstate. The one more surprise was awaiting for me. Allstate can only approve up to $30 a day. The Enterprise rep gave me the wrong information. It cost me $150 plus tax and fees. I don't know they purposely fraud people like that or just a mistake. I reported this incident to the Enterprise online feedback, the headquarter also did not respond or care. I am very disappointed about the whole operation here. They need a big shake up in this company. Definitely. read more

Outstanding customer service! I have use many different car rental companies is the past and no one is better then these guys!! Whenever I needed a rental even last minute they will always accommodated my needs. I rent from them at least once a week and so do my colleagues for the past year and have never experienced any problems with the service or the vehicles they rented to us. Danielle is a great branch manager along with her assistant Kayla. I am always greeted with a friendly smile and the will to help in my rental needs. There was one particular day where I needed a specific vehicle. They didn't have this vehicle in inventory. Kayla spent over 20 minutes in locating one for me and drove me to that location!! Great service! I should also mention that Dave and Matt are great employees also. Don't think twice when renting a vehicle there!! read more

Would be a 5* review if hours on the weekend weren't so ridiculous and restrictive. They don't even offer a drop box for keys, so basically I spent an extra 2 days rental fee to have that car sit in their car park. Picked up my Pontiac/Chevy/Dunno 200? In the pouring rain on the afternoon of 6 June and the plan was to return it on the 13th. Arriving from Montauk at 3:00 it was highly distressing to find them closed (my fault for not noticing satellite office hours) Customer service was super helpful on the phone, my only option was to drop the car off at JFK (I was staying 4 more days in city) or lock it up, pay the extra 2 days and have my BF drop keys on Monday. The staff were super friendly, locale is right off the Seaford-Oyster Bay Expwy exit on Jericho Tpke, and BF had 0 hassle Monday dropping off keys. Considering the insane traffic on the Belt Parkway, and navigating JFK with BF following and going on to SI, think the decision I made was solid. Would rent from them again, pick a car online, show up and they have a few to choose from. read more

I requested a one day $50 rental. They picked me and my 8 year old daughter up and drove me to the location which is remote. When I got there they demand a $200 deposit plus the $50 which had to be on the same card which I did not have. I had it on 2 cards but that was not acceptable to them for some reason. So late night on a cold evening they left us on the street. What was truly appalling was they refused to drive us back home so we had to wait in the cold for a taxi. Horrible service and I would obviously not recommend them. read more

I'm feel weird about what happened here, in a good way. It was so fast and the employees were super nice. NOTHING like when I've hit up airport or city locations elsewhere. Walked in and they knew who I was, had a car waiting, paperwork took no more than 5 minutes. Same with the drop off, quick and painless. The selection of cars isn't the best (I rocked a mini van for a few days), but when you really need a car who cares if you can fit the whole soccer team. picked up car, during the half hour i was there while car was cleaned,even with full collision coverage with geico, they charge a $310.70 deposit I was never told about!! they siad its $300. deposit they take for insurance!! even thou I have full coverage with my insurance and the extra charge of $10.70 for the depost. inother words an extra hidden charge!! Buyer beware! This place is dishonest especially their sales guy Michael. There was a dent in the passenger door of the car I picked up. When I brought it to their attention, Michael held a plastic template to the dent and said since it's smaller than the circle cutout on the template that I was not liable for it and it doesn't need to be written on the paperwork. When I returned the car they said I was responsible and submitted a claim to my insurance. Don't trust this location! read more

FABULOUS FABULOUS FABULOUS. How often does one write that for a rental car company. I rent often due to living far from family, and rented here via Costco's website. I couldn't have been happier. From the moment I walked into this tucked-away Enterprise, I was greeted warmly by Sabrina Johnson. She was absolutely lovely in every way. My car was brand new 2013. Non smoking (a plus). I ended up needing to extend the rental by one day - called and spoke to a gentleman, who was also extremely helpful and courteous and generous with my request. Saw Sabrina Johnson the next day upon returning my car, and she again was smiling, delightful and extremely helpful. I would absolutely go back to this Enterprise in a second!!! read more

SCAM SCAM SCAM. Do not shop here. I received my car completely dirty and was told to wash it myself, then they ran my credit card for numerous fraudulent charges including $250 then $380 so I had to cancel my card and then continued getting attempted charges of $80+. When I called they were trying to claim my rental actual cost more than the original agreement and I'm forced to pay. They are a complete scam and won't even answer my phone calls now to settle the dilemma. Please save yourself and do not shop here read more

I have posted before about the outstanding customer service that I receive at Enterprise in Syosset, NY. I feel that it is important to give kudos to businesses when deserved. The service that I received in March/April was again perfect! Danielle (a terrific manager), Kayla, and the rest of the staff always make sure that I have great transportation, understand what I am signing when taking possession of a car, and are friendly along with being professional. I have a trip coming up in May and spoke with Kayla today. I had some questions, and she was so very helpful in answering them all. Thank you Kayla! My booking is now set! A+ Awesome experience! Courtney managed my account and ensured that my experience was an excellent one. Her team was also very courteous and professional. This was my full customer experience: 1. First day, I was picked up from my house and driven to Enterprise. 2. Within 20 minutes, I was driving out of the parking lot with a new car. Courtney remembered that I wanted All Wheel Drive and space and she got me the best car for the money. 3. On the third day of my rental, Enterprise called me to make sure everything was going smoothly. 4. On the last day of my rental, within 20 minutes, my rental was returned. 5. Enterprise is not my favorite business, but it was the closest to where we were staying. Last time, at the Huntington location, the staff kept insisting on selling us insurance, even after we told them "No" three times. We had to threaten to just leave and cancel the deal before they got the clue. And when we asked for a map, they tried to get us to take a GPS. No, we would like a map. We finally got a map from a flower shop, of all places. That said, this time, at the Syosset location, it was wonderful. The staff was friendly and helpful, understood exactly what we wanted, and had everything waiting for us. I always use Enterprise rental car service. I have given this corporation a ridiculous amount of money over the years. Most are decent but not this one. As I write this I am literally baking in the hot sun at 96 degrees and sitting on a parking lot curb waiting for a cab to take me 10 mins down the road to a dealership. It's bad enough I can seem to ever coordinate a pick-up, but the hope was to at least get dropped off since the dealership is literally on the same road. Unprofessional. read more

When my car was at the body shop the insurance company ordered a rental car for me at enterprise Rent-A-Car in Syosset. They gave me a reservation number and asked me to go pick up the rental car. At the time of picking up the rental the enterprise agent "Danielle" asked me for my credit card information and assured me that I will not be charged a dime and it was only for maintaining on file, just in case of incidentals. Afer the specified number of days the car was returned. Later I noticed a charge of $351.69 on my credit card statement I immediately called enterprise and spoke to agent named Kayla. She told me she was sorry & she will issue a refund and resolve the matter and call me back. Since she never called me back, I called again and this time I spoke to Danielle who started making up stories about how the rental was a bigger car versus what the Insurance company would approved! And since the insurance company wouldn't approve the bigger version "ultimately customer is responsible for it". This sounds like I am totally being scammed, when I didn't request or order anything that I would have to pay for. The enterprise agent Danielle was very rude to me over the phone and asked me to go to hell and even file a dispute with my credit card company (which I have done). I am disgusted and will not stop until I get my full refund and everyone in the neighborhood knows about it. NEVER rent a car from this location and if you must, do not deal with Brian. Brian is a contradicting clueless man who obliviously does not know the procedures of picking up or dropping off a rental car. He accused me of a dent on my rental car that was there before I had the car. He was aware of the dents on the day of pick up claiming that they were fine. Now he decides to change his story and blame me for the one dent. They operate on procedures from the 1950's, coming outside with an old clip board and pen. Give me a break, it's almost 2015, get a more computerized system. Brian should not be working for this company and needs more training in car rentals and how to talk to customers. What a joke. I can't say enough about how great it is to rent from Enterprise in Syosset. Every single employee here is helpful, friendly, professional, and accommodating. The cars are always comfortable, the service is lighting fast, and it seems like they truly care about their customers. We come from Brooklyn to rent here - prices are fantastic too. We can't get enough of the weekend specials. Also, they now allow drop offs on Sundays! All you need to do is park the car in their lot and drop your keys in the dropbox. HIGHLY recommend. read more

Very nice people work in this office. However, was charged for minor damage on car that I'm sure I didnt do. When I complained, a huge hassle ensued with a ton of phones call and nothing done. Outside car repair place fixed it (picked by them....), overcharging for a simple repair. If forced to use this car rental, I recommend spending a very long time inspecting car before signing anything, and possibly having a third party on hand to check car as well. read more

FYI I was totally scammed by Enterprise of Syosset. I thought I did good by going to a local merchant. I was under the impression that I would only be charged $5 plus tax a day for the use of their vehicle. I told them numerous times I do not need your full coverage, for I am covered by my own insurance company. I asked before signing contract "how much will I be charged a day and the salesman David Griffin told me $5 a day plus tax...Fast forwaard to 12 days later when I returned car, I saw my credit card statement and it had a charge of over $600 on it. I called right away to speak to David to ask, long story short, he told me my contract was signed for full Enterprise coverage. I am so furious, I spoke to manager she told me she would credit me $40, I said thats ridiculous , I told her you scammed me. I told her I will call my credit card co and she said go ahead you signed a legal document.. David even admitted he rememebered me telling him numerous times. I said put David back on, and she said he was helping a customer. I disputed it but in the end I have nothing but my word, and they are getting the charges put back on my card.. Today was the second time that I tried to rent a car from Enterprise - Syosset. I have used many of the other Enterprise locations, never with any problem. Last time, they could not provide me with a car and today, I tried to arrange for a car while mine is being repaired. I supplied Brian with all info that he would need to contact the covering insurance company, including authorization number and the telephone number of the carrier. He was going to call them to get the rate they paid for a rental and promised to call me back within 15 minutes. One hour and ten minutes later, I called him only to get an excuse from him and why he hadnt done that yet. I hung up and called Hertz in Syosset. Within two minutes Brendan and his associate in Huntington were able to arrange the car rental and even pick me up. Enterprise should send their employees to the Hertz trainee school to learn how to properly deal with customers. read more
