    Make sure you have a credit card. Enterprise is inflexible and loves their policy more than their customers. Last week, I drove a fire engine, with my firefighter son, from L.A. to get home for a funeral. Enterprise made no mention of any restrictions when I reserved a car. Upon arrival, in a fire engine, headed to a funeral, they told me my card had expired 2 days earlier. Okay. No sweat, the new card is at my house, I told them. I've been gone for over a month fighting fire. I'll get my wife to send a front and back photo and we will run it that way. No. Corporate policy, we need the physical card. Okay, how about my debit cards, plenty of cash? No. Corporate policy, no debit cards. Okay. I'll bring you cash, plus a deposit if necessary. Nope. Corporate policy. So there I was. The engine is returning to base, I need to get to St. Louis. Enterprise is a St. Louis company. I've rented many, many times from them, business and private. So many trucks on federal fires are from Enterprise rentals. So many. No. We will not help you out. The manager flat refused to ask his boss. Corporate policy, no need to ask. I will not rent to you. Okay, I'm worried, I'm frustrated, I had been driving for days. I called Hertz in Topeka. I explained my situation. Come right over, we will have a car waiting. I left Hertz in under 10 minutes. They didn't act like they were doing me some huge favor at Hertz. They grasped the situation, saw that I had plenty of ID and decided to take pity on this frustrated guy, who smells like burning sage brush, and get him home for his father's funeral. Thanks Hertz for your kindness and willingness to look beyond "Corporate Policy". Enterprise has lost my business and I am very disappointed in them. Rules are rules, but somehow, Hertz got me home despite rules and with sensitivity. Enterprise looked at me like I was asking for them to do the impossible. Completely cold, completely inflexible. Bye, bye Enterprise. Thank you again HERTZ!

    I went early this morning explained I needed a car for an early flight and they denied service to me.I will highly not recommend to go here.

I…read morehave rented for business and pleasure all over North America and Hawaii from Enterprise. This is the only Enterprise location I have ever had a bad experience with. I reserved a Standard SUV via Enterprise online reservation system as I always have using my plus number. Friday, June 7, 2024 - I picked up the Nissan Rouge for a week long rental. I made it 10 minutes from the store when the ground effects on the vehicle came loose. On inspection I found that the fasteners had not been replaced after servicing. I called back immediately to the pickup location, the young agent refused to assist me, he was too busy and said he couldn't get another car anyway. I respectfully asked who could I call for any help and he suggested the Topeka Blvd Enterprise office - I asked for the number, He gave me the wrong phone number to call - I found the correct number and called them (BTW the Topeka Blvd staff did an excellent job getting us on our way later that same day). Upon returning the replacement Nissan to the West Topeka location the same agent was neither apologetic or showed concern, only mentioning that his boss would offer me a discount. I rented from Enterprise again at two different locations (July-Sept 2024) using the Enterprise online system. October 2024 I reserved a car for 2 days via the online reservation for this location and received as usual a confirmation number 1667350288. Arriving at the West Topeka location for the pickup we are met by the same agent from our past poor experience. He informed me that he was now the manager and had no vehicle for us. He went on to belittle my wife and me for using the Enterprise online system for any reason as it was totally unreliable and useless. I tried to inform him that I had used that same system for years with no issues. He didn't care and continued to admonish me for my bad judgement. My wife turned to me and said she was leaving in disgust. I followed her leaving my last opinion of his management style. As we made our way home, I vowed to never rent from this location ever again. When I arrived home I used the national system to find another Enterprise location that could rent that day. They found one for me at their Gardner office I asked if they were sure that one was there and was told that if it should available in their system it was there for pickup.
