Enterprise is terrible. First off, the customer service is poor and unprofessional. Also, I just found out that they charge a $4.95 convenience fee on top of the tolls if you use the toll road. What a joke! Just a total money grab. My toll was only $4.08 so I paid more for their ridiculous convenience fee than I did for the toll itself. POS organization. Rented a vehicle from the San Juan Capistrano location. The vehicle was filthy and I could not wait any longer to have it washed. The vehicle later had mechanical issues and had to be towed and we had to uber to another location. They handed us the keys to another vehicle without conducting a walk-around inspection and did not require us to sign anything. We dropped the vehicle off later and had no issues. They have a filed a claim for $850 for under-carriage damage and threatened to send it to collections. Anybody else have this issue as I will be filing a class action lawsuit. read more

I went to this location to rent a car after an unfortunate accident. I am not gonna lie at all, the customer service was great. The guy who helped me was straight to the point and got me in and out in 20 minutes. However, I reserved the car until Sunday and when I asked about the return information, the guy told me that I would be able to return the car at any time during Sunday. I had then asked if I would be able to return the car to any location, but he informed me that it would be better to return it at that exact location. Fast forward to the end of my rental, I put the location in my maps and it surprisingly said CLOSED TODAY. When I looked up the hours of operation, it said that it was ALWAYS closed on Sundays. Luckily, I was able to go to another location in Tustin that happened to be open and the workers there helped me out better. Overall 2/5 experience with this specific location 3097 Edinger Ave.. Why would they inform me to drop off the rental at their specific location when they know they are always closed Sunday? Terrible service. read more

I reserved a hybrid rav 4 or similar vehicle for a trip. Got to enterprise and they did not have my car. After having me look at a couple of unsuitable cars they offered me a Highlander for $18 more a day. I said is it a hybrid at least? and the employee said "I think so". It is not a hybrid. So we have a gas guzzler for our trip that is more expensive in every way. And it smells bad. I asked the employee "what is the point of the reservation?" Crickets. read more

This team is not ready for prime-time. I was given a dirty car at the time of my rental (see photos). When I brought it to management's attention, the response was lacking. At the time of car return, the Branch Manager Justin Davis could barely make eye contact with me and clearly did not know how to negotiate. No leadership. Enterprise promises a "Complete Clean Pledge." Very important during this new COVID-era. Justin said "We don't look at the cars when they arrive to us, we assume they have been cleaned." A missed opportunity on his part. Not good enough. Pleasant smiles and average personalities at this location, but no A-team here. Train 'em up, Enterprise! I had to get a rental car while my car was in the shop. I've used this location before when my other car was in the shop years ago but I don't remember the experience. This time, Eric picked me up from the auto shop and drove me back to Enterprise to get the car. Everything was conducted outside and employees were all wearing masks. Fast forward to dropping car off. It was again, very smooth. We did a walk around of the car. The closing out was done via a tablet. Afterwards, I was driven to the auto shop by DJ to pick up my car. Every employee I interacted with was friendly and courteous. A great experience! read more

Enterprise, can you please read this review? Your branch manager, Moe, here is exceptional. I had to pick up a car on Tuesday, and it was such a bad day for me before coming here. State Farm was providing me a rental car because their (careless) insurer had backed into my parked car, and they first sent the reservation to Hertz. As terrible as Hertz always is, they never picked up the phone and their corporate customer service rep even tried to reach out and was confused as well. Finally I called State Farm and transferred the reservation to Enterprise. First of all, I had never had such a nice driver from Enterprise. When the driver picked me up from the auto shop, I thought I was hopping on a fancy shuttle, because he greeted me with such enthusiasm and even opened the door for me. He made sure I was comfortable in the back and chatted with me, everything an awesome driver would do. Once I got to the location, I noticed that it was small and crowded, and I honestly didn't expect much. I always had average experiences at other Enterprise; as long as they keep being much better than Hertz, that's good enough for me. It was 4pm and there were a few customers around, but it was busy for a small location. Moe at that time was giving a car away, and another lady lined up behind me. After he was done, he reassured me that he would be right back and also asked if the lady behind me was dropping off the car. He explained to her that she could have dropped off her rental car at the selected locations because this location has relationships with these shops, but she could be dropped off as well. He even made sure that I heard it and provided me that option as well. This whole time, he was so patient and energetic to meet his customers. He asked me if it was okay to help the lady first because she decided to drop off the car, and of course it would be okay with me. Afterwards, he got back to me right away. He looked at my reservation and said the insurance company gave me so little to replace my current car, and he offered me a better car with no hesitation! He said it was because I was so nice; no, sir, YOU were so nice. The pick up was quick and efficient. He walked through everything with such honesty and professionalism. He didn't try to push me to add any services or upsell anything. He was helping me with #1 customer service. Honestly, I had NEVER met a manager this nice anywhere, especially at a busy afternoon. Moe was so genuine and personal-able, and I knew I could trust him 200% right away. So, Enterprise, can you please take my review as a consideration to promote this man or give him a big raise/bonus? He is a fantastic representation to your company, and I would come back to this location in a heartbeat, doesn't matter how far away I am. I'm so disappointed with this place. I was involved in a car accident and had to pick up a rental car. They dropped off a disgusting rental car at my car repair shop and thought it was okay to drive it. This car was UNCLEANED whatsoever. It smelled like food, the carpet was unvaccumed, and there were stains everywhere in the car. I had to go to another location that was very helpful and accommodating. My car was getting repaired and the insurance company referred me to this location for a rental car. I dropped off my car at the car shop and was told I would be picked up to be taken to Enterprise. I waited almost 30 minutes after being told it would take 5 minutes. It was fine - I figured they only had 1 shuttle service. Upon arriving, the lady who helped me was very "sales" oriented. As in, trying to up-charge me for the smallest things. I told her I just needed the basic car to get me around while my car was in the shop. She then continued to recommend high end vehicles at an extra $$. Once we settled on the car, she again attempted to up-charge me on additional costs for the rental. I know it's their job to ask about collision insurance, etc. but I knew I wasn't going to use the car as much and told her it would be unnecessary. Again, she proceeded to push and push. At this point, I just wanted to get out of there!!! Upon returning, the same "sales" lady ignored both my husband and I as we entered the office and proceeded to help another customer who came AFTER US. I was livid. This was not an easy feat, mind you after being hit by a big old hummer and knowing my dad's convertible car, recently inherited, may soon be a total loss. Ali was warm, friendly and a great listener to my tales of woe. He picked me up from home, brought me to the store, and then actively ran around to assist me. Horrible customer service. Came in to pick up my rental while my car was being prepared and wasn't greeted with a hello. Walked up to the counter and the woman (I forget her name) started helping me. Before I came by they stated I needed a credit card to put the deposit down on. Currently I do not have a credit card because of an issue with my bank. They refused to let me use any other credit card because it did not match the name on my ID (understandable). Justin (who wasn't even in the conversation to begin with) chimed in with a rude tone once he got off the phone and told me there wasn't anything they could do and that I'd have to call the insurance taking care of the claim (which wasn't even my insurance it was the person who hit me). While waiting to get ahold of the insurance I overhear the lady on the phone telling someone a similar thing on how they need a credit card with matching name and that they don't accept cash. Then I hear her proceed to say they allow debit card... WHY was this not given to me as an option when you could physically see I didn't have a credit card. Instead I was sent to call the insurance that wasn't even mine and waste more of my time. They never asked if I had a debit card (which I do). I then say "oh can I use my debit card?" and am yet again responded to in a rude and short tone by Justin stating that yes I could but it takes longer for my deposit to be returned and is more of a hassle. Basically sounded like he didn't want to deal with it. I proceeded to use my debit card because obviously that was my only option. Justin was short with me the entire time and clearly just looked like he hated his job and didn't want to be there. Unprofessional. Shame on the branch manager (I believe it is Shamir), who lied to my girlfriend charging her a $15/day premium and then laughing about it when she called him out. She went back to this location requesting to be switched to a different vehicle without the premium and they told her they will waive the charge... ok cool. We ended up going to the airport location to swap out the car and that team was stellar. When returning the car we see that a $10/day premium was still tacked onto the reservation. So not only did they lie about the type of vehicle, they lied about removing the up charge fees! Avoid this location at all costs until management is weeded out. read more

I have cheated by Eric the manager he was also a big liar for a crappy car with about 27000 miles on it for 30days and stated 'brand new car' to fool you. They tried to screw you up and stole money from you in stead of trying to do business like everyone else. I was tricked into taking a more expensive car and never compensated for the companies mistake. Personally i hate writing reviews i think having to write one takes energy and time but i have to say something before someone makes the same mistake i did. Please be careful going to this enterprise or any for renting a car. I unfortunately got into an accident and my insurance offered a rental which at first i was hesitant since i hear horror stories but i needed transportation for work so i took the offer. When i was at the location the front desk representatives where really nice and we discussed if i wanted insurance which i declined. Another thing that was quickly talked about was that they had only one car available that i could take and it was an SUV and i thought alright that is fine i dont mind what car is available as long as i can use it for work. There was no discussion or paper to be signed that the cost of the car was more than what my insurance could cover. (I do not blame the representatives at the desk in fact i believe they were also misinformed) So when i dropped off the car i got a charge of $240 from enterprise which i thought was odd and couldn't have come at a worse time either i am flat broke shelling out money to find a new vehicle and take time off work and now this? So i called and spoke with Heather at this location for clarification on the charge and was basically brushed off like this is what you agreed to pay and hung up the phone. So then i called customer service and she explained that the vehicle i agreed to take was more expensive than what the insurance could cover and that a refund is not possibly because i agreed to rent the car. (Which again was not discussed or written anywhere on the contract that i signed) So not only was i tricked into taking a more expensive car i was treated like i am to blame for this and now as i write this i have $1.27 to my name and rent coming up soon. Big name companies taking advantage of low income people like this makes me extremely sad for the world we live in now. I attached some pictures of the charge and contract maybe there is something that i am missing? Maybe i am dumb and just signed away the little money i have? But if any is true is it right for this to happen in the first place? Everyone here is very friendly and they provide quick and efficient service. I was in and out in a flash both for pick up and return. I needed a car when mine went into the body shop. The Enterprise staff offered to pick me up at the body shop and to return me to the body shop after the rental. I didn't need the ride but it was great that they offered this service. My car rental was covered under AAA insurance and Enterprise received most of my information from them prior to my arrival. The rental process was very quick and simple. The rental car was nothing special but at least it was clean and new. The only negative I can think of is the location. It's in an oddball business park that has limited access and poor signage. You can't even see Enterprise from Edinger; it's located toward the back of the buildings next to Midas. read more

I received notification of a damage claim on the rental i had. Just want to say that it is complete bullshit. When i rented the car ( which was a POS in the first place with a foul odor, airbag light on and keyless system malfunction ) at first i pointed out the scratches all over the vehicle including on the wheels and was told by the blonde enterprise employee at this location, that they don't care about the scratches or the damages already on the car. The vehicle did NOT have any damage upon dropping off at Garden Grove. It was in the same condition it was when i picked it up. I even told the employee of the scratches that were already there and you guys still have the nerve and dare to file a claim of damage against me. Enterprise is the most horrible place I've ever done business with. Please communicate between the Garden Grove branch and the Tustin branch in regards to watever you guys are after. Complete horrible experience since day 1!! Advice to renters, video record, take pictures of any damage that is on the vehicle they're trying to rent to you, before signing and driving off, otherwise you'll get taken advantage of like me. I was having work done on my car down the road so insurance paid for my rental here. Enterprise said they were right next door but I later learned they'd have to pick me up - in a crowded car that smelled like smokers. It was really busy on Monday morning with lot of pissed off people waiting around the small lobby. Luckily I was in and out pretty quickly and he showed me a Kia SUV that he said was $2 more than what insurance would cover. I took it just to get out of there; it was dirty and had less than 1/4 tank of gas. Someone from Enterprise representing my insurance company called a few days later to ask how it was and I told her. She said it was more like $5/day extra but she'd wave it because of my experience. Dropping my car off was easy and I was given a quick ride over to my shop in a clean car by a nice gentleman. AVOID THIS PLACE. I remember why I never like to rent from enterprise: pricey and subpar service. Over the past month, I rented probably 10+ times from Alamo, Avis, budget. Never an issue. However, for enterprise (at least this location), they somehow can't figure out how to properly coordinate car return from one location to another. It took them at least 30 min for me to return the car. For the other places, at most, I had to wait 5 minutes. I just don't understand how this place can't find my "contract". I will 100% never rent from enterprise again. When there are so many car rental companies out there, this is definitely the worst one. This was a much better rental experience than the last time I was here in 2009. Back then, I asked for a compact car, but all they had was an overgrown Toyota Land Cruiser. This time, I asked for a standard size car since I was going to have some passengers for part of the week But again, all they had was another SUV. This time, it was, a Chevrolet Traverse. It was a manageable vehicle, nimble, roomy and a lot funner to drive than I had thought. It seemed about a foot shorter than a Land Cruiser. My biggest complaint about an extra large vehicle is in downtown LA's parking garages. I'm turning the wheel to the max, and my arms look like I'm a cross arms contortionist doing yoga pose in the car. And if another large vehicle is going in the opposite direction, we might meet by accident, and exchange phone numbers, and it's for a date...with the insurance adjusters and maybe lawyers. Price for a weekly rate was a few dollars a day cheaper than Hertz, so I went for it. They pick you up either at home or where your car is being fixed. A cool Samoan guy name Etti gave me a ride to the Enterprise office. He could tell right away I am FIlipino and a huge boxing and Paquiao fan. Turns out he knows some of my former Samoan co-workers from 15 years ago. He knew my rental was due to a vehicle repair, so he didn't push the insurance thing more than just mentioning it. When I turned the car in, they gave me a ride back to the body shop where my car was. The driver this time was David, a very hardworking business student at CSUF, who grew up in Bakersfield where I have family. All the employees were very profuse with their "yes, sirs" and "thank you's". The cars are well maintained. And the price is right. A hint: Weekend rentals are cheaper than weekdays. And this location isn't open on weekends. So plan on picking up and dropping of your car Monday thru Friday. read more

I had THE best experience renting from this place and I will definitely be back for any of my rental needs! I was involved in a small accident a few weeks ago. I dropped off my car at the auto shop and Jeff from Enterprise was nice enough to pick me up. When we got to the Enterprise office, I explained that my insurance company was supposed to pay $20/day for my rental and that I didn't want to spend much more than what they were willing to pay. He offered me a Corolla, which was well within my budget. The car itself was great - clean and easy to drive. Two days later, my car at the auto shop was ready to be picked up, so I dropped off the Corolla at Enterprise and Jeff drove me back to the auto shop. I seriously LOVE their pick-up service! I had a reservation for 11am pickup. I arrived at 11:30am via their courtesy shuttle from the sterling collision body shop. They had no car available and had difficulty pulling up the reservation. I waited for them to go pick up a car from another location and then they had to prepare it for rental (quoted time 10 minutes). I would have taken any car without the additional wait time but they said they only had suvs which were not part of the reservation/rate. When the car finally arrived, it had zero gas and the rep asked me if I wanted him to go fill up gas. At this point I was beyond frustrated and asked how long. He said five minutes. I went and voiced my concern to the manager, Terri, and she assured me it was their fault and they can't do anything about it. How can the rep who brought the car not be aware the vehicle has zero gas? Furthermore, Terri kept assuring me it would be 10-15 minutes. She then offered me a regular suv and they will exchange it later. WHY ARE YOU OFFERING THIS NOW? I didn't leave with a car until 12:35! I'll never rent from here again. I'll go out of my way to rent from any other location even if it costs more. Poor execution and service. It should not take 1hr 35 minutes to rent a car...ever. read more
