    I was a victim of a DUI hit & run recently and my insurance gave me the option to get a car from an competitor that starts with an "E" or Hertz. The other rental car place does not have cars in the price range my policy gives me per day. Hertz has a wider selection and range of prices to choose from so I decided to give Hertz a go. They picked me up at the body shop and got me to the Rental office in one piece. The female employee was very friendly and empathic to the situation (hit n run) and went the extra mile to make things as painless as possible for me. I told her my insurance policies per day rental budget and she was able to make it work for me. Even upgraded me to the next size up. As we were walking out to the lot - I saw that they had an Polestar 2 and I asked how it was to drive one of those. Her response was "you can see for yourself, we can do that car for you". YES YES and YES! I'm already set up for an EV with my current car that is in the shop. So, this works out great! This office is actually on the Tustin Mazda dealership and they seem to have a great fleet of newer cars. The employees are nice and go the extra mile to make sure you're taken care of. Once I returned the vehicle, they were able to drop me back off at the body shop. I hope I don't get hit again, but if I do - Hertz has earned my business!

    This was by far one of the worst rental places I've ever been to. As I walked into the office, I saw two gentlemen, just sitting there on their phones, ignoring a room full of customers. When I asked for some help, I was given a dirty look and continue to be ignored. when they finally started helping customers, I realized one of the gentleman didn't even work there. He was just hanging out with his friend at work. I was then asking how long it was going to be for a rental card to which Theosis the employee replied, he doesnt know and if if I had a problem waiting he won't be giving me a rental car. Tustin police than had to get involved because he became extremely aggressive. When I tried to contact his supervisor she was unreachable. Her name was Ashley allegedly.... But the employee probably gave a fake name and email. Either way never go here. Worst experience ever.

    They tried to SCAM me for PRE-EXISTING DAMAGE. I recently rented a Tesla model 3 from Hertz Tustin and it will be my last. The pickup experience was smooth, but after I drove it home, I noticed a small crack on the windshield. I took a picture of it to document it and sent it back to Hertz via email. Two days later, I took the car back, and another guy helped me with returning. The guy checked the car, he asked me about the tiny crack on the windshield. I said it was already there and I showed him the photo I took. Apparently he didn't buy it so he asked Jose who rented me this car, Jose said the crack wasn't there. We then checked the pre-rental photos Jose took, you can barely see the crack in the original photo and I tried to show him. He said "Any of the spots on the windshield could be a crack". We argued for another 15 minutes, he then found the car wash guy to check the crack, the car wash guy said the crack was there originally but it became bigger(WTF??). At this point he was so convinced that I caused the crack and was lying to get around it, even after the car wash guy said it was there. He told me he's just going to file an accident report and Hertz will bill me. Luckily, a lady who appears to be the manager came in and told him the crack was pre-existing, and was just hard to capture under sunlight(Thank you for being honest). The guy apparently didn't like being proven wrong, he still kept his defensive attitude "I wasn't the one renting you the car blah blah blah". I was shocked at how unprofessional this Hertz guy was. He did not give a single bit of apology after being proven wrong and wasting me nearly an hour with this. Finally, For Hertz, please train your staff better and have more detailed pre-rental damage inspections instead of having to base on words like "He washes these cars everyday so he would know all the damages", stop pulling SCAMs like this. For anybody renting from Hertz, please take a full video walkthrough while they walk through their car because they WILL try to blame pre-existing damage on you.

I found Stop-N-Go Rent-A-Car and booked a vehicle online after seeing their reasonable prices. I called to confirm the reservation, and Ben, the owner, verified everything and honored the quoted price. I arrived shortly before closing, feeling stressed and overwhelmed, but Ben was incredibly kind and accommodating from the start. I rented the car from Sunday, 4/19 through Saturday, 4/25. Throughout the entire process, Ben was honest, transparent, and genuinely helpful. He truly went above and beyond and was a lifesaver during a difficult week. When I returned the car with my daughter and planned to Uber home, Ben kindly offered to drive us instead. My daughter had recently fractured her foot and was limited in mobility, so his kindness meant even more. He has a very humble, fatherly presence and made a stressful situation much easier. I would highly recommend Stop-N-Go Rent-A-Car to anyone in need of a rental car, and I will be referring others to Ben. I'm very grateful for the kindness and exceptional service he showed me and my family. If I could give him ten stars, I would. Such a wonderful, ethical and amazing business. Thank you!

I had never had this happen to me. I was stuck wondering, what do I do? I'm in southern California, I have big plans, and no car. I tried another area, but they were not helpful, but someone saw my distress and said, "I can help you." He made a phone call and told me to wait outside and someone would pick me up and take me to a place. I figured it would be some random place with the worst broken down cars. I was dropped off at a small office minutes from the airport. I walked in and the person there was AMAZING! He was friendly, took my information, and within minutes, I was driving out in a nice medium size car. I worried that the return process would cause a problem. I guess, I was just waiting for the other foot to drop. Could it really be this great? The answer is YES! It truly was. No complaints at all. Only after going through all the paperwork inside (why?? you have my Hertz gold account info, reservation made well in advance), after counter person disappeared for 15 mins, did he tell me that there are no cars, I would have to wait 20 mins until they could bring one up. I'm now 30 mins and counting past the scheduled pickup time, and late for a critical meeting (purpose of the trip). Manager offered no help - "you can go get an uber if you don't want to wait". Tried contacting Hertz "customer service". What a JOKE. No one is home, the bots are 0 help. WHY DIDN"T YOU NOTIFY CUSTOMERS THAT you had NO CARS - if i'd known this getting off my inbound flight, i would have gone straight to UBER and NOT MISSED a critical meeting. YOU FAIL HERTZ!
