I have doctors appointments every day of the week for the last 2 months. I am in the fight for my life and the last thing I needed to worry about was how to get to the doctors. I drive from Waco to Dallas every week. parts of my treatment were not offered in Waco. I cam into the office in Waco in tears. My wife had never had to rent a car and understood nothing about car rental in insurance coverage. Yolanda took control of the situation and has made it so easy for us to rent this car during treatment. I am so sick I can not even look a new car to buy. Yolanda has jumped through hoops to give me time to get through treatment. I finished my 5th round of Kemo today. I have one more to go next week. The employee at the rental location arrived 45 minutes late to work, which caused a delay in my reservation and made me late to important meetings. During that time, nobody answered the phones at the location, and the Avis 800 support line was completely unhelpful. One representative told me to wait another 10 minutes, then another told me to wait 15 more because the employee was "possibly in a staff meeting." Meanwhile, employees from neighboring rental companies openly stated this person is late every day. Once I finally received the car, no one came out to inspect or walk the vehicle with me. To make matters worse, the car had no windshield wiper fluid at all, so I had to purchase some myself during my trip. The employee was kind once they finally arrived, but kindness does not excuse repeated tardiness and the lack of professionalism throughout this experience. For a company that caters heavily to business travelers, reliability and communication should be basic expectations.

I arrived at 6:30 pm (check the airport surveillance cameras) -- well within the two-hour window -- but the staff member at the counter insisted I was a no-show and claimed that her system had already shut down. I explained that I had a doctor's appointment early the next morning, which took me three months to secure, and that I had to leave tonight. I even arranged with my boss to leave early today and take tomorrow off just to make it to this appointment. Instead of assisting me, she lectured me about how I should have called. I was unable to call due to being stuck in transit, but I still made it within their two-hour window. To add insult to injury, she mentioned that they could give the car to anyone, which defeats the purpose of making a reservation. I thought the whole point of a reservation was to hold the car. All I could think of is how I hope she never has to go through what I did. If she ever finds herself in an emergency situation, I would hope she's treated with more understanding and accommodation than I was. This experience has made me question if I will ever rent from Avis again. I might just be one nobody customer, but it's disappointing to be treated with such disregard.

Enterprise had all my info, instructed me to come to this location on Jack Kultgen to do a car swap...as soon as I arrived I was greeted and helped by Cassidy who was prepared for me. She handled everything swiftly and manager David also made sure things went smoothly and I was in and out in under 10 minutes. Fantastic service and coordination!
