One star is the lowest I can give of if I could go below I would. Family broke down and called enterprise to Rent-A-Car and had a reservation. The person on the phone told them they would be able to use their debit card because they were so close to the Virginia West Virginia state line. They are West Virginia residents. When they went to the enterprise, so-called manager told him that enterprise has no policy for allowing them to use a debit card that they needed to use a credit card so so he denied renting them a car leaving my family along with two small children stranded in Harrisonburg with no means or way of getting home. I had to drive across the state to come get them. I would avoid this enterprise rental car facility. read more

The first time we rented a car at this location, they did not provide the vehicle we requested during our reservation. The car was neither the same size nor the same quality as the one we needed for our 700-mile trip. Ultimately, we got the car we wanted from a different location. For our second time reserving a car at this location, we scheduled to pick it up at 8 AM. We arrived around 8:30 AM only to find that no cars were available. They offered to call us when a car would be ready. Unfortunately, by 11 AM, we decided to cancel our reservation. We were extremely disappointed with their service. read more

Aimee was fantastic, I got a 12 passenger van. It has just come in and was being cleaned. I noticed the R wiper blade was damaged and needed replaced and she got it taken care of in less than 30 minutes. The van was clean and in great condition when I received it. I opted to return it full at the end of the week. I dropped off family at Dulles at 4:45 and when I went to return it I was so tired that I forgot to fill it. I had already done the key drop before I remembered. I called Aimee when they opened and she was great. She let me come back and fill it so I would not be charged a million dollars for them to do it. Their staff is amazing. My favorite part of the experience, was how immaculately clean the vehicles were. I was able to actually get to know each and everyone of the staff members but wanted to really meet the ones behind cleaning the cars. Having more cars. 9 times I have reserved a car in Warrenton, I get a call 10 min later saying that don't have any cars.

Horrible customer service. Rented a car and returned it on June 21st. The first car they gave me had an expired inspection sticker on it. The second car they gave me had damages on the right side and scratches on the hood. Still haven't received my deposit back and it's been almost 3 weeks since I returned the car. I have gone to the building twice to follow up and each time I've gotten a different excuse as to why the contract hasn't been closed yet. This was all for an accident that was not my fault and I had to get a rental and deal with both insurance companies. No apologies given either time that I've gone for the delay. Would not recommend renting a car from this location. Worst experience ever. read more

I didn't realize Warrenton had an Enterprise Rent-A-Car. It's actually in the same building as Mattress Warehouse. There's a small service road by the building. Just drive straight back. I arrived at my appt time to collect the car. Right away, I was worried as the doorway smelled like a dog kennel. I don't mean to be rude, but that's how it smelled. And the door handle was broken. I went inside. The fella that assisted me was very straight to the point. Didn't say hello or introduce himself. As we were walking out to the car, he made it clear where Not to park. He said if I HAD to leave my car here, to understand they are not responsible for any damage. I asked if there were security cameras. He said not in the parking lot. Hhmmm...didn't like that answer for sure. So I said ok seems then to rent a car, you probably need 2 people. One to drive your personal car back home. He said Yes. Hhmmmm. We'll I rolled the dice and parked my car on the back where he advised. He questioned where I parked it. I explained the location. He was fine. I walked out. Drove to my parked car. Transloaded the luggage and such. Then took off. Upon returning, the same guy was there but another gentleman assisted in accepting the rental. He was polite and took a mere 3 min to inspect the returned car and approve my departure. The car itself was in good condition. It ran well and didn't have a dent or scratch on it. Personally, that's not the type of car I would be interested in buying but as a rental, not too shabby. Oh! When I arrived back from my trip, I inspected my personal car I left there and all seemed to be well. Just remember what I said about security. It's all on you. read more

It should not take over an hour for picking up a rental that has been reserved and paid for already. The cars are beat up too... damaged not necessarily clean . Thankfully the person working the desk was cordial enough hence not 1 star but .. someone needs to open a competitor in Warrenton. read more

I would not recommend renting from this office. My wife had problems with a car she rented in Alabama. They did an exchange and the car they gave her was damaged already. She showed him some scratches but he said that they weren't bad enough document. She received no documents of the rental in person or an email. The original office that she rented from did not receive notification that she had exchanged a vehicle. I am highly disappointed . They are trying to make me responsible for the damages that were already on the vehicle. read more

Beware of renting a car here on a Saturday, as you are locked into a 2 day rental automatically. There is no drop box method to return a car on a Sunday or after noon on a Saturday. A one day rental on a Saturday is good from 9 am-12 pm, three hours. I reserved a mid size sedan and was given an economy 'SUV', which was a hatchback compact Hyundai Kona. Nothing about that vehicle is in the mid size category. So not only didn't get the car I reserved, but had to pay $180+ for what was supposed to be a one day rental. $180 for a compact rental. Had an appointment to pickup a car at noon. Got here slightly before noon. Guy tells me the car will be here in two minutes. After 10 minutes I ask how long as he's walking out the door to leave for the day and another employee told me it would be 20-30 minutes longer. Terrible communication and now I'll be late for a meeting because they apparently didn't know how many cars they'd need for the day. Should be ZERO stars. Update: The guy who took my card and drivers licenses to check me in forgot to save it so had to do that part again before I could even get the car and leave. I've rented vehicles from this branch of enterprise many times over the last 8-10 years, although this my first review and had it not been for the email I received asking for a review I probably wouldn't have thought to provide one. Here goes, all in all I'm happy with the service I've received over the years. The vehicles have been clean and reliable. However, my latest rental seems to have a defective GPS unit, and the XM Satellite radio is not activated. I called to ask about it and the young lady I spoke to said XM isn't usually active in their cars. This is not exactly true as I can't remember any rentals I've had from them that didn't have xm. I also asked about the navigation GPS, and she said that it is also not usually active as it's a paid service like xm. This is also strange as I've never known a navigation system to be a paid service on a vehicle. I suspect she may not have provided accurate information, but like so many other retail or service businesses, most of their employees don't have a clue about the products they're selling. The vehicles is a 2015 Chevy Tahoe. I even went so far as to take it to a dealership to look at the gps, and was told it may be a problem with the car's antenna. There are no other issues with the vehicle, although I must admit I rented it for a long road trip for the holidays and the lack of the navigation and xm is a real inconvenience. read more

My husband rented a car from Enterprise Rent A Car in Warrenton, VA for a four day business trip to NC. When he went to return the rental car he spoke to the Assistant Branch Manager, Stephen K, & told him about a minor issue he had with the rental. Stephen was exceptional! He apologized several times & explained that had he known about the issue he would have taken care of it on the 1st day but since he didn't know he wanted my husband's suggestion on how Enterprise could make it up. Stephen happily agreed with my husband's suggestion & took care of it right away! We will definitely return to Enterprise Rent A Car in Warrenton for our next trip & we will definitely recommend Enterprise to all our family & friends! read more

I can't rate them lower or I would. So much for picking you up or dropping you off. This office was in no way helpful and is cause for me to not use enterprise moving forward. I contacted them to have them pick up a car at a dealership so I could take possession of a new car. They offered no assistance and only a warning that if anything happened to the car keys before they could fit it into their busy day to pick up the keys I would be responsible. We have used this rental location at least a dozen times since 2004. I was thrilled when they opened because we didn't have to go to Manassas or Dulles to rent a car anymore! It was a happy day! Over the years, we have rented all types of vehicles, from Compact to Cargo Vans. It's easy to book online and I normally call them directly a day before to confirm. I am still old school. They are open early which is nice, and they have a drop box if you want to drop the car off the night before it's due back. The vehicles are clean and they go through everything in detail (looking for bumps, scratches with you and check the interior). Why it's not 5 stars? Their location. It's behind Mattress Warehouse building. The sign is easily missed if you blink too long. And once you turn into the driveway, it's all the way in the back of the building. They can be very busy and having only 2 computers at the front can mean a long wait time to be helped. read more

Very disappointed. I had work done to my car at a fantastic auto repair shop in Warrenton and needed a rental car for a couple days. My insurance was covering the rental. Enterprise provided me with a nice vehicle. I got the rental on a Monday evening and was to return it on Wednesday evening after work. I was told I could drop the rental off that Wednesday at the Auto Repair shop as it was getting close to closing time, and Enterprise would pick up the vehicle the next day (Thursday). Well, this morning (Friday) I got an urgent call from my insurance company advising me that they had been billed for an extra day and wanted to make sure that I wouldn't be charged out of pocket. I had to call the auto repair shop and then Enterprise. The woman who answered the phone at Enterprise told me that everything was fine and nobody was charged an extra day. I called my insurance company and after 20 minutes of being on hold while they called Enterprise, I found out that they were in fact charged an extra day. All in all, this was an annoying run-around that didn't need to happen. read more
