Receipt clearly states: "Unless otherwise specified, cars may be gas, diesel, hybrid, or EV powered. Changes to the vehicle offered may result in additional fees." Despite this, the attendant insisted that an electric vehicle had been booked and tried to charge an additional $200 for a gas-powered car -- the very type originally reserved. When this was pointed this out, he admitted he has had "arguments with AAA about this issue" before, indicating that this is a known and recurring problem. If this is such a common point of contention, this promotion should no longer be offered. It comes across as a manipulative tactic to upsell customers under misleading pretenses, especially when people are in a desperate situation and need a vehicle. The staff made no effort to resolve the issue or offer any form of compromise. The attendant was unhelpful, dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. While I regret that the situation became heated, it was incredibly frustrating and frankly outrageous. In contrast, I went to Enterprise down the street and was met with respectful, accommodating service, and a much better rate. If Hertz locations like this one are not going to honor the terms of their offers, they should reconsider making them available at all. I strongly recommend avoiding this location due to its questionable, and quite frankly unethical practices and poor customer service. Will absolutely be reporting to the BBB about this unfortunate situation.

If there is any question they will answer it and help you solve any issue you have without hesitation. All the vehicles look good as new and work awesome. I wasn't sure what to expect with a name like "Rent a Wreck" but the vehicle (a Kia Forte) was spotless and ran perfectly, it honestly could have been brand new. When returning to the airport, they have parking spaces and a key drop-off right next to the terminal. When next I find myself flying into Watertown I will certainly be using this service again.
