Scott in parts spent a lot of time trying to locate a turbo resistor for same day. Since it would be next day Scott our service technician tried EVERYTHING to get is on the road. I had made several calls that morning and no one including Mercedes. WOULD HELP. If your ever stuck in or near Lafyette IN. they will give you their best.

From the owner: Pete Wiers got his start in the trucking business in the 1930s. His son, Wayne, became a truck…read moredriver himself after serving in the U.S. Marine Corp. And by the late 1950s, Wayne and his wife started a trucking company in Plymouth, Indiana. In 1964, Wayne sold the business to become an International Harvester Truck and Scout dealer. Today, our business has evolved into service, equipment sales, leasing, and full partnership with our customers. And although we've changed quite a bit since the 1930s, our perspective remains the same. We've been in your shoes. We know firsthand the importance of excellent service, fixing things right the first time, and getting back on the road. We know how critical it is to find the right people to do the job. Current president Tom Wiers is even named after a beloved technician and friend. And we know what it's like to have people counting on us. We know how daunting downtime can be. We've felt it. We've lived it. For nearly 100 years. Wiers is family owned and operated - large enough to meet the needs of even the most sizable fleets of all makes, and small enough to give you the personal attention that others just can't. Above all, we're here to work with you as a partner, not a vendor. That's how we've always done it, and how we always will.

My wife booked a storage unit from U-Haul in May 2025 prior to a move. She and I arrived only to…read morefind that they did not have the unit she reserved available. The entire time we waited for assistance we heard the U-Haul team turn away several customers who had booked trucks that U-Haul was not able to provide even though they had confirmed the reservations. The U-Haul staff were much more interested in loudly discussing the supervisor's sister's boyfriend, who visited earlier that day and whom everyone agreed was an idiot and dropped repeated F-bombs in discussing. I personally don't care about profanity, but the customers with young children nearby might not want them learning certain words when they're so young. The U-Haul staff provided my wife a U-Box instead of the unit she reserved and said it would be a cost savings for her. She asked for a receipt to make sure she was being booked the price they quoted her, but they wouldn't print one out. After moving her items into storage, she again asked for a receipt. The staff member working at the counter said the computer couldn't provide a receipt, told her he was done helping her, and turned to address the man behind her. When she said she wasn't leaving without assistance, the customer behind her yelled at my wife that he didn't support loud women and she had to defer to him. He also reached toward his belt as though he were carrying a concealed firearm. The U-Haul employee smirked at being able to ignore her while also allowing his customer to threaten us. My wife went to unload the U-Haul in early August. She waited behind two other customers for over 20 minutes without a staff member present just to be told that they wouldn't provide her items without 24 hours' notice. Thankfully she was able to get her belongings the next day, but never received a receipt nor an apology for the way they treated her or allowed a fellow customer to threaten her. How many of your employees allow customers to gesture to firearms to intimidate other customers? This location has bad enough service without them threatening women of color who just want to transact business with them. TL;DR they are incompetent, violent, and happy to threaten women and POC customers. Take your business elsewhere.

They "all the sudden" found it, yet decided I drove around with it for 50 more days without even contacting me and took the money out of my account. It took over a week and getting a hold of some regional guy before I got my money back. I incurred all kinds of late fees because my mortgage didn't clear, not to mention I literally had no money because I just relocated from CA and was starting a new job. This was extremely stressful and Uhaul did nothing to make up for the stress and late fees I incurred. If I had the time and energy, I would have taken them to court. Awful business who doesn't care about doing the right thing. Ismail, the "owner", seriously needs to be educated on how to handle angry customers. Angry customers who have every right to be upset. Go to the other Uhaul location in town. And I didn't even mention the $12 dolly I was charged and never even received. Ha!
