I went in for a brow lift for a big event coming up in a few days, and while there, the esthetician convinced me to get a brow tint and a lamination. I asked her if it was okay to do since I am on tretinoin, and she said yes, the only thing I couldn't do was wax, so she plucked my brows instead. During the procedure, I asked if it was meant to be burning and painful, and was told yes. We even talked about me being on tret while the procedure was happening! My brows were bright red afterward and painful, and in the morning, I had scabbing in certain spots, red skin, and they were still very painful even without touching them. I very clearly had a chemical burn. After a quick Google search, I learned you should not do a brow lamination while on tret, and I called the spa, who told me I was wrong and there was nothing done at the spa that could have given me a burn. I did not believe them, so I called my dermatologist afterward, who said lamination should not be done on tret or any other retinoids. I am attaching my text conversation below with Glow Med Spa (I cropped out the beginning, which includes personal information) during which they tried to gaslight me into believing they had done nothing wrong and that I was experiencing a "personal allergy." They changed their tune when they realized I was not, in fact, an idiot, and had spoken to a qualified professional elsewhere to further confirm. I really am not the type of person to leave bad reviews. I have never done so in my life and probably never will again. But the fact that they tried to trick me after they gave me a chemical burn is just not acceptable. The burn that they gave me is thankfully not terrible but they have not only ruined a big event for me, the chemical burn could have very easily been worse potentially scarring me, and they were happy to lie about the entire thing.

It looked like a pretty extensive display of cosmetics, but not of any brand I had heard of, but then again, I don't wear much make up either. - TLC - She never told me her name, but I think her name was Chand and I'm only saying that because that's what it says on my receipt, unless both ladies who were present use the same ID on the register. My eyebrows were not terrible this time, but holy, Jesri was fast! I was already anxious because my two kids were with me and they were already antsy with the promise of some treats and some playtime at the indoor playground if they sat still while I got my brows done. I didn't feel like coming to the mall again later in the week. She was very personable too, making conversation as she did her thing. I really appreciated her efficiency and so did my kids. - Services - I personally got the Eyebrow threading for $13 and that's seems to be the standard price everywhere. They offer a variety of services, targeting only certain parts of the face or the Full Face and they offer various packages and memberships. Looks like they offer eyebrow tinting services as well. - Heads Up - Jesri got me at the cash! Haha. I couldn't pass up a good deal. They have this deal where if you buy a $40 gift card, your threading service that day is free. Also, the gift card never expires. It saved me $13! They also have this pretty sweet deal for $17.99 per month for unlimited threading. If SBB was a lot closer and if I had unruly, bushier eyebrows, I would have probably gotten that deal too. I have been threading my eyebrows for as long as I can remember and I refuse to remove/trim any other way. SBB is the third pace I've tried in and around Savannah and and so far, I like SSB the best.

Eyebrows and tinting will cost you $25 and they're usually running a promotion to purchase a gift card for future visits at a discounted price. The tinting lasts about two weeks. The first time I loved it, the second time it was a little dark for me so I simply applied water to it early (typically you're supposed to wait 24 hours) and I liked the results. However, there was no trouble at all, the person set me up with an appointment. My selected hair stylist was Nicole. Since I'm not from town I had some trouble with navigation to the salon (my fault) and called Nicole to let her know and she was perfectly fine with me being late to my appointment. The salon is in a little business center and you have to knock to be let in. When the door opened I was greeted by Nicole and led to the salon chair. I had told her that I needed curls that will last all day because my event was at 6:30 pm that night and it was only 11:20 am. I showed a picture what I wanted and Nicole knew exactly what to do after analyzing the picture for 15 seconds. Nicole used premium products in my hair so it does justify the slight price increase she will have on her services (it's worth every penny). During the process I asked some questions about what to do in Savannah and she was very knowledgeable on the haunted houses in the area along with bars/restaurants. I am honestly a shy person, but Nicole made me feel relaxed and comfortable. When I asked if she can tease my hair bigger, she got a light in her eyes and had a "hell yeah" attitude about it. When the appointment wrapped up I asked to buy a Brazilian blowout product I was about to buy the wrong one, but she gave me a quick product education explaining key differences. the payment method I used was credit card and Nicole had a Square chip reader.
