The result turned out even better than I expected (see attached photo)! She really listened to what I wanted and made me feel comfortable the whole time. I will absolutely be recommending her to everyone I know!

I began my journey in Columbia, South Carolina, where I quickly established myself as a top artist at one of the leading salons in the state-recognized for my precision, artistry, and commitment to natural-looking, long-lasting results. Today, I proudly continue working in Columbia while also growing my own brand and private studio in Savannah, Georgia, with the vision of building it into a space just as trusted and successful. I received my professional training in Ukraine at the prestigious Orex Academy, where I developed a deep passion for permanent makeup. My expertise includes a range of advanced techniques such as Powder Brows, Ombre Brows, Nano Hair Strokes, Lash Line Enhancement, Classic Eyeliner, and Lip Blushing-with a special focus on Aquarelle Lips, a soft, elegant style I demonstrated at Skin Summit 2024. In addition to permanent makeup, I specialize in fine line tattoos-minimalistic, delicate designs that blend effortlessly with the natural beauty of the skin. Each piece is created with care, intention, and a refined sense of aesthetics.

I stopped by one week to talk to someone about an idea I saw online and was greeted with friendly faces and a genuine sense that they cared about my ideas. Tried to stop at another large place on W Victory before I found Riverside and was met with a lobby full of people vaping pen devices who acted like they had better things to do then help me out with my idea. Only a few of them at that place acknowledged me and once we started talking they talked very poorly of other artist/shops in the area claiming all their people are the best and that their pricing was the "standard". When I'm ready to get a tattoo I'd rather do it with people who don't act like they are interested or speak poorly about others in their community. Like the people at Riverside Tattoo!

After seeing a Yelp friend post on here. I finally dove in..I was scheduled to do this 2 years ago…read morein DC but Covid interrupted. Fast forward and we now have our own amazing artist right here. I'm so happy I saw Joan's review and so happy with my brows...I hadn't had any since the 70's. She makes you feel very comfortable during the entire microblading process, goes over every detail and really listens to what you're looking for. I was definitely nervous, since obviously this is very permanent but I shouldn't have been. When I arrived for my first appointment I showed her pictures of what I was thinking for my eyebrows and she discussed what would need to be done to reach that look. She took a great deal of time to draw on the shape and to make sure I was happy and if not made all the adjustments until they were my dream brows. After drawing the shape she advised me on which color would look the best for my natural hair color and she got to work. She started with numbing and while that was kicking in she gave me a pillow and a blanket so I could be as comfortable as possible, after the 10 minutes it took to numb, she started the process. I have gotten my eyebrows done about 6 years ago by someone in Atlanta and I will say she was much faster than the my previous experience (and I love them so much more this time). She was great at telling me what to expect to feel in the numbing process and the rest of the procedure was pain free. After she finished we looked at the brows to see if I wanted to make any changes and then went over aftercare with me, gave me printed directions, and a packet of aquaphor (loved that I didn't have to go buy a tube that I wouldn't have ended up using after the healing process!). I will say before the initial appointment I dm'd her A LOT of questions and I definitely dragged my feet on getting it done but I am so happy I chose to go to Allee. For my follow up appointment I ended up going 4 weeks later because life and my schedule is insane and when I tell you she made all the adjustments and made my brows PERFECT, I'm not exaggerating. I wanted a higher arch and more upstrokes on my brows and she knew exactly how to achieve that with still keeping them looking natural. I can't say enough amazing things about Allee, she's an incredible person, she's so sweet and really makes you feel completely comfortable. We had the most random, amazing conversation and sad I don't need to go back for a while haha I recommend her to everyone because she's that good, do yourself a favor and go see her, I promise she's worth the drive to Summerville!

This is their Midtown…read morelocation, which I frequent because of the super convenient parking right out front--makes it so easy for a quick drop-in or last-minute appointment. The waiting area is welcoming and bright, with gorgeous white marble floors and large windows that let in tons of natural light. The space feels open and airy, and they've got a great selection of skincare products displayed alongside comfortable seating, so you can relax while you wait. The check-in staff are always super friendly and offer refreshments, which is a nice touch. As for treatments, I've had a few great experiences here. I've done a laser treatment on my face to help with discoloration spots, a Dermaplane (which is amazing for getting rid of that pesky peach fuzz that sneaks up as I get older), and their hydro facials are perfect for adding extra moisture during the summer months when my skin needs it most. You can easily book appointments online, or if you prefer, you can call them directly. I've also found that emails get a quick follow-up call within 24 hours, so they're always on top of communication. Overall, Glow Spa is a reliable, relaxing, and professional spot that makes skincare a breeze.

Glow med spa gave me a chemical burn after lying to me about the safety of a procedure on tretionin…read moreand then further attempted to lie after. I went in for a brow lift for a big event coming up in a few days, and while there, the esthetician convinced me to get a brow tint and a lamination. I asked her if it was okay to do since I am on tretinoin, and she said yes, the only thing I couldn't do was wax, so she plucked my brows instead. During the procedure, I asked if it was meant to be burning and painful, and was told yes. We even talked about me being on tret while the procedure was happening! My brows were bright red afterward and painful, and in the morning, I had scabbing in certain spots, red skin, and they were still very painful even without touching them. I very clearly had a chemical burn. After a quick Google search, I learned you should not do a brow lamination while on tret, and I called the spa, who told me I was wrong and there was nothing done at the spa that could have given me a burn. I did not believe them, so I called my dermatologist afterward, who said lamination should not be done on tret or any other retinoids. I am attaching my text conversation below with Glow Med Spa (I cropped out the beginning, which includes personal information) during which they tried to gaslight me into believing they had done nothing wrong and that I was experiencing a "personal allergy." They changed their tune when they realized I was not, in fact, an idiot, and had spoken to a qualified professional elsewhere to further confirm. I really am not the type of person to leave bad reviews. I have never done so in my life and probably never will again. But the fact that they tried to trick me after they gave me a chemical burn is just not acceptable. The burn that they gave me is thankfully not terrible but they have not only ruined a big event for me, the chemical burn could have very easily been worse potentially scarring me, and they were happy to lie about the entire thing.
