After our dishwasher leaked on July 17 and caused damage in our home, the remediation team -- Kasey, Logan, Austin, and Eric -- were professional, communicative, and efficient from start to finish. They kept us informed every step of the way, handled the situation with care, and left the space clean when their work was complete. We were extremely satisfied with that portion of the process. Unfortunately, our experience changed significantly when we moved into reconstruction and a kitchen remodel. We were initially assigned a project manager who made repeated promises about timelines that were never met, and communication was extremely difficult. After months of little to no progress, we met a second project manager on October 10 who appeared knowledgeable, but was managing too many projects for consistent oversight. As a result, our project experienced repeated delays with minimal proactive communication. Our basement, which was also damaged, was eventually reconstructed and returned to its original condition. However, that work did not begin until after October 10, which was an unreasonable delay for restoration work. At the same time, our upstairs kitchen -- which was a full remodel -- saw no progress at all. From July 17 through January 9 -- nearly six months -- nothing had been done to rebuild the kitchen. On January 9, we terminated our contract with the kitchen still completely untouched. After termination, we took over as the general contractor ourselves and completed the kitchen in approximately six weeks. This made the lack of progress during the prior six months even more difficult to understand. We were also asked to turn over our insurance payment up front, which we later learned is generally not standard practice. After termination, we were told reimbursement would take 1-2 weeks, but it ultimately took three weeks to receive payment. While the remediation team did excellent work, the reconstruction and remodeling process was marked by significant delays, poor communication, and failure to meet stated timelines. Based on our experience, we would not recommend this company for reconstruction or remodeling services. The difference between the remediation experience and the reconstruction process was significant.

Paul Davis came out that week to help with the water damage and had to tear down our ceiling and rip apart some carpet, bathroom tiles, and some of our wood flooring. It is almost the end of October and they have still not come out to finish their reconstruction. My husband has reached out almost daily, including sending a message to the owner of the company. Now we are left with a torn apart bathroom (including damage to our cabinets that was done when the fans were placed by them), and ripped up carpet in our guest room and basement.

Our basement looks and smells brand new. On top of outstanding service, I can vouch for Ameri Pro's honesty. Originally, their estimate (which was in fact well-below any of the three other restoration companies we researched) was accepted by our insurance company and they received their cut of the check. We received a call a day later from a member of the team that said they would re-work the numbers because they may have included some expenses that were not needed. A day later, a gentleman stopped by the house with $400 extra from what our insurance company agreed to because it was over what they needed. Also, Ameri Pro also mentioned that due to the depressing economy in Michigan, they work with people on payment plans. No other company agreed to this, and I was very impressed that Ameri Pro was thoughtful enough to create this plan. I would one thousand times over recommend Ameri-Pro to someone who finds themself with a leaky or flooded basement problem. They are an outstanding company of professionals and turned my stroke-level of stress into a napping-cat level of ease.

So we called around to several companies and Pest Pros of Michigan responded to our call that day and gave us a price. The house is a vacation rental so we needed the work done before the renters came. They scheduled Matt to come a few days later. He arrived promptly, listened to our needs and finished his work before the renters arrived. Matt is very nice, dressed well and easy to talk to. Also, before the next treatment, he called ahead so we could notify the renters when he would be there. We are very satisfied with Pest Pros of Michigan.

The technicians that came each time were different and did not know where they were supposed to spray. It was clearly highlighted on our contract but they said they didn't or couldn't see the paperwork. Absolutely unacceptable because that is how the company bases their charges.
