The original quote was changed once the maids arrived and the manager on the phone was extremely rude when I challenged her on raising the price/hour by $25. Rate is reasonable. I've used them twice so far. 1st time was the master suite - It took 1hr longer than estimated or expected to clean the master suite (given that the bathroom was very dusty). They missed the top of the shower doors but the rest was spotless clean - definitely much better than what I would have done if I was to clean it myself. 2nd time was just a small bathroom and after communicating about the amount of time they took last time, they finished within the estimated time frame and bathroom was very clean so I appreciated that very much. Communication w/Lupita was good when I contacted her about first-time service. I've been putting off this review bc I'd rather not spend my time giving someone a negative review but I just can't shake it. The cleaning was supposed to be a deep clean. When I returned to the house (rooms being cleaned totaled less than 1,000 sq ft) I noticed the two main lamps in the master hadn't been dusted. Surprising but no biggie, I let the associate know & she dusted them. She had to call to see if I could pay by cc. Thought that was kind of weird but whatever. When I spoke to Lupita she asked how everything was. That was nice, so the more I started looking around (two associates were outside in their car) I noticed a few more things - top of armoire wasn't dusted, kitchen light wasn't cleaned (could still see cobwebs & dust). I felt like I was maybe being petty but no, this is standard cleaning and especially for a deep clean, this was not acceptable. I let Lupita know and the associates came back in to clean. Not ideal, it's just extremely awkward. Although Lupita was open to the feedback, I shouldn't have to point these things out, especially when it's supposed to be a deep clean, they've been in business this long, and I was told one of the associates had been with her for 6 yrs. After they left I noticed the next day they hadn't done the baseboards (something we specifically talked about initially), didn't clean the bathroom cabinets, there was a weird film on one of the side tables, another was dusty & streaked, the window ledge above the kitchen sink hadn't been cleaned. Now, I will say the bathroom tubs were done well, the kitchen counters & sink were great. However for a $149 deep clean there were some obvious oversights. The reason I hired a service was to do the things I don't want to do - things like thorough dusting & baseboards. I sent Lupita pictures a day or so later of the baseboards but never heard back. I uploaded the pics to Yelp as well for this review. The inconvenience & awkwardness of having to bring the associates back in then not having the baseboards done was a pretty poor experience, especially for a first time customer & "deep cleaning." Last, I should probably mention when I opened the door to the two associates, I introduced myself, they did not. Very impersonal & actually offputting, cold, you could even say rude bc of it. The clean took longer than anticipated but that is because we lived in the same apartment for 4 years and underestimated how dirty our window seals were. They went threw every cabinet and cleaned our bathroom to the best of their ability. WAY BETTER than what I could have ever done. They made my move out stress free and I can't thank you enough for the service. I recommend them HIGHLY for move out cleans. The two cleaners are very hard workers and friendly. Great business! I scheduled with the company weeks in advance for a scheduled move out. I told the owner my house size and indicated on a scale of 1-10 that the cleanliness was at a 6. She told me the cost was $150, a flat fee. We scheduled the cleaning and I took off of work to let the cleaners in the home at the scheduled time. On my way there I called to confirm their arrival. I was told there were not enough staff and asked to reschedule. I explained I could not due to contractual obligations. The owner did apologize and called other companies to rectify the situation, which was very kind. I thanked her and she arranged for staff to go to the home asap. I bought a lock box at lowes to facilitate the late cleaning. I was contacted 2 hours past the scheduled time and informed staff were on their way. 3 hours later I asked for an update and was told the home was more challenging than expected. I explained that I cleaned the cabinets and refrigerator before moving, and was confused about the challenge. The owner then explained to me and alluded that I was lucky, as the cleaning should have cost me $300 due to how long it took the 2 crew members. Essentially, I was lucky I got the flat rate. I didn't feel lucky as I took off of work (unnecessarily), discovered there was an issue with the scheduled cleaning minutes before their scheduled arrival, had to buy a lock box for a one time cleaning, was late on a contractual agreement to ensure a professional cleaning, and was told the house was "challenging," which was why the cleaners were late. ************************************** The cleaning was scheduled for 9am. At 11:10am I was notified via text that staff were in their way from Austin to Leander to clean the home. I was notified at 3:25pm via text that the home was clean. The cleaning took at least 3.5 hours. I did not see the home afterwards. The picture attached to the rating is what the home looked like prior to cleaning. This was the absolute best house cleaning experience. They did an amazing job on our house! I don't review THAT often on Yelp -- it takes a lot to get me to write something up. But this was extraordinary. I was in contact with Lupita earlier this week and she gave me a really fair quote. We were discussing times and she told me she had an opening today, so I snagged it. Two ladies were there a handful of hours later, and they were ready to go! They were both very kind and careful with my cat and their attention to detail is stunning. Didn't miss a single spot. Our house had lots of dust in corners that I figured I would probably have to quickly clean afterwards, but I didn't! They got it all. The house has never looked this good. The best part is that they did everything SUPER fast. Our house was...a total mess before they got here. I honestly felt a little bad. I just moved in and there was lots of dust and the downstairs toilet was ehhh not great. It only took them two hours to turn this place into gold. We used this company because a groupon company flaked out and we had family visiting for the first time and really needed to get the place cleaned up. Lupita answered the phone and gave a really good deal to clean the whole house. They sent over 3 girls and one spoke really good English. They took about 6 hours cleaning most everything. The microwave would be extra as would be the frig or stove. They were able to make it before the house guests arrived and did a great job. I think they were getting a little tired towards the end but Lupita said if there was anything they didn't do right that they would come back and make it right. I wish I could afford to use them on a regular basis as it gets easier for them if coming on a regular basis. read more

We hired Enviromaids for a move-out cleaning. Their service request explicitly stated they would remove all cobwebs, spiderwebs, dust, etc. and clean out all the drawers. These services were not completed to our expected standards. Even the sink drains in bathrooms were left with stains. Our washer and dryer area was also completely neglected, as well as our microwave and dishwasher. Despite paying for a professional cleaning service, we have to pay over $100 in additional charges for our unit not being cleaned properly. If I could request a partial refund, I would. They knew we would be unable to come survey the property and thus didn't clean it as they should have. I would not recommend this company for move-out cleaning. The hourly rate and time it took do not justify the lack of care our duplex received. read more

I needed my home to be thoroughly cleaned after years of renters and Enviromaids responded quickly with a fair price per hour and sent two people to clean it the next day. The home was quite dirty and they did a pretty great job aside from a couple of corners and a light fixture that I noticed they missed. No big deal compared to the project as a whole. They also cleaned an extremely dirty and moldy refrigerator very well. I also paid extra to have the tile and grout steam cleaned, and that looked good after too. Overall, I was pretty pleased with the customer service, price, and quality and will recommend them to my family and friends. read more

We did not have a good experience with Enviromaids. We were moving (and leasing back our home), and needed to do a professional move-out cleaning upon leaving the home. This was important for us to be able to get our deposit back. It's a 4900 square foot home (so very large). Estimate/Cost -------------------- We called for the estimate, and were told it would likely take 2 people 5 hours to do a full move-out clean. This was at $80 an hour, so $400 total. It's understandable an estimate might not be exact, but you expect it to be in the ballpark. On the day of the cleaning we were told they would send 3 people instead of 2, which would raise the cost. We were told this on the day of the cleaning and had to be out in a few days, so we didn't have any time to look around for somebody else. The final charge was $933, WAY outside the initial estimate. Cleaning ------------- The cleaning was not great. They mopped the hardwood floors and then dripped something white on them, in multiple rooms. There were also footprints all over the floors where they walked on them after the mopping. The counters were still grimy. The marble-like surface makes it hard to see issues, but when moving your hand across the counters, instead of a smooth surface it was still really rough. They weren't able to get the hard water stains off of the shower glass, although there are apparently ways to do that, especially for a professional cleaning company. The bathrooms weren't cleaned very well. They left a bunch of crumbled up 'Magic Erasers' in one of our sinks. When cleaning the blinds they were apparently very rough, some of them had one side yanked vs. the other side being all the way down. The baseboards weren't cleaned very well. Our realtor did a walk through and was really disappointed. They had to come back after we had all these issues. The owner was very defensive, and forced the payment even though we wanted to wait until the cleaning was finished. When we said this, we were told they would just use the card we provided previously (without our permission), even though we had specifically asked them not to keep our credit card information on file. Summary -------------- In the end, it was a bad experience. They were recommended to us by our realtor, and they said they would no longer be recommending them to any of their clients and will share with his colleagues. I certainly wouldn't recommend hiring this company, especially for a move-out quality cleaning. read more

The most unprofessional, horrific customer service I've ever experienced especially for the price they charge. Let's start by discussing how I was quoted $85 for 3 hours, and they would send two cleaners to clean my 1200 sq. foot apartment. The days leading up to the service, the manager would call at the oddest hours, ask for times he could call when I was available then would never call at those times when saying they would. The day of the service, they even threatened to cancel because I hadn't answered questions they never bothered to ask. The only question they even had was how they were going to answer which in my opinion didn't require a call but hey. When the cleaners arrived, I then get another call telling me that since they sent 3 cleaners without my consent, the rate would be $110 an hour, but the overall cost would be lower since more people were working. I should've sent the cleaners home then but they had already started cleaning. The actual cleaners were very thorough and nice, however the service took closer to 3 hours despite the rep's reassurance it would take a less time and the final quote was $320. I pushed back on this since it was $65 more than was quoted, and I never requested additional cleaners to begin with. Then the rep argued that my 1200 sq. foot apartment (with a large closet they didn't even touch by the way) that's deep cleaned professionally ever two weeks and standard cleaned every week would somehow take two able bodied adults 4 hours to clean. I live with another adult and it has never taken us an entire Gone with the Wind showing to clean our house nor any other cleaning service we've ever hired. He assured me his manager would reach out on Wednesday, but no one called me back until Saturday. I returned their calls right away but never got an answer but saw a charge for $167 on the debit card I used. The card wasn't fully funded as it is for recurrent purchases, and the we had never actually settled on a price for them even to charge me. I played phone tag with whoever had the phone until Monday morning when I saw a duplicate charge for another $167 went through which exceeded even the inflated quote the rep charged me. When I questioned someone who identified me as the owner, she was yelling at me about not returning her calls (I did), and engaged me in a screaming and cursing match where she went on a narcissistic rant about being a lawyer. Um, what does that have to do with you inflating the price, not calling me back as you were supposed to do, then charging my card without even settling on a price or sending a receipt/invoice for the service to justify the third new price? I ended the call after the owner declined my offer to pay the rest of the service after I received a receipt. She proceeded to call me, text me, leave an angry voicemail, so I blocked her number. She then proceeds to text me ON A WHOLE DIFFERENT PHONE NUMBER after she figured out she was blocked. In my opinion, this is harassment at this point. I already ended the call and made it apparent I had no interest in speaking with her since she said she would refund me and declined my offer to pay for the service in full, so she would just leave me alone. In this new message, she accused me of being uneducated even though she was the one who misunderstood when I was offering to pay the difference, I was offering to pay the total cost minus what I was already changed.
