Omar showed up for bid and he was very knowledgable on the process and observations on prior errors our landscaper made to previous trimming. Discussed what would be done on trimming and treatments for health of the tree. Bud was provided within an hour of Omar's visit and scheduled for the following week. Omar also oversaw the job on the day of, which is a great way to do this. Finished job in exact length of time they estimated and finished result was great. We are SO upset with this company. We paid 1400 dollars which I can upload as proof, to have our back wall of stumps removed in November right when we bought our house. We ordered new trees to put in and realized they covered with stumps with dirt in some areas instead of removing them. I was initially upset a month ago because I saw roots they did not remove but now there are Stumps too. Victor the owner will not come to do the work for a travel fee. He simply stated he doesn't feel comfortable doing the work and that he did what was in the contract... which is absolutely not the case. Please look elsewhere. I have a huge palm tree in my front yard that I have been wanting to take down since I moved in. I got a few quotes here and there and they were either unresponsive or charged me an arm and a leg. I wanted to put concrete where the tree was so I assumed I needed to take out the root so when I spoke to Victor, he explained to us that grinding down the root would give us the same results and wouldn't be as expensive. I needed to get a Yucca tree remove that was located between my house and my neighbors. With it being so close to the homes, wanted to be sure I hired a professional licensed contractor to do the removal. I found EGTC on yelp and read through the reviews. I saw a lot of similar reviews stating that they are professional, prompt, thorough, and licensed. I decided to contact them to get a quote for the removal. 1) Contact: I used yelp to contact EGTC and Victor (owner) sent me a reply within the hour. We ended up talking on the phone in which he inquired what type of work I needed done and how quickly it needed to be done. We set up a day for him to come by and take a look at the tree to give me my free quote. 2) Quote: When Victor came to my house, he was very professional. He brought along a copy of his license along with his certificate of liability insurance. He quickly explained to me the type of removal he suggested and what could potentially be damaged (sprinkler line and other plants that obstructed access to the tree). He was extremely friendly and easy to work with. I was happy with the quote he provided on the spot and we set up a day for the tree removal. 3) Removal: The crew showed up earlier than was scheduled, but I was actually happy about this as I wanted to get it done. The cut out the plant in front of the tree as Victor explained they would have to do. The placed plywood on the side of my house and the lawn to help protect damaging a window and my lawn. The crew had the tree out and the stump ground down in about in hours time. They did everything asked and also did not break my sprinkler line. 4) Clean up: They quickly cleaned up all the small scraps and chunks as best as possible, leveled out the soil and hosed down the fence and side of the house to remove any splatter. 5) Payment: Victor contacted me a couple hours after they left and asked if I was satisfied with the work. I told them they did a great job and was satisfied with work. 6) Overall Review: Victor and his team were very professional in their work. How do you go from a 5 star rating to 1 star? Dealing directly with Victor this time around was not possible. Being able to schedule this year based on last years previous job was not available. A person HAD to do a physical visit for getting an estimate. They sent a guy out and he was great although his price was 200 dollars higher than last year. Nothing changed in terms of job scope. He indicated that I would be contacted by someone in the office to schedule. That was last week. Never heard from them. So I texted an inquiry. The response I got was "did I know the number?" I said that since you sent someone here, they should already know it. I was told that they do 40 estimates daily and had no idea what the number was. At this point I decided to take my business elsewhere. I asked to talk to Victor. He is in Mexico for the next 2 weeks. Their loss. His guy came next day and gave me a quote 1st option $120 to kill/remove weeds. 2nd option, remove everything on my yard and kill/remove weeds for $480. After agreeing to his quote of $480. He called his boss Victor and increased the price to $580 and $1500 respectively. I kinda bargain and we came to $580 just to remove some plants and kill/remove weeds. We selected Environment Tree Care to removal 2 palm trees and dig roots from our back yard. We talking to Victor who was recommend to us by Moon Nursery in Huntington Beach located on Bushard. Samuel (Sammy) and Jose did a great job. They cut down the palm trees very fast. They protected my yard from the falling cut off pieces and took them to their truck. As part of the service we requested they dug the palm roots and trunk 9 inches into the ground. I found that 9 inches was not enough to get the deeper roots. (that's just me) I would recommend having them go deeper if you want most or all the roots removed. BUT digging the roots is a really big job and very labor intensive to do therefore takes most of the time. I would recommend Environment Green Tree Care for all of yard service. read more

This company does an excellent job and stands by their work. We had a couple of trees with roots that were about to destroy our foundation. Victor came out and assessed the situation and suggested we put in root barriers. We were worried that we might harm the trees, but Victor is extremely knowledgeable and we decided to do the root barrier. This involved digging up the areas between the trees and foundation, cutting out the offending roots and then installing the root barriers. We also had them trim some trees while they were here. They did an excellent job. And a real testament to their quality and integrity is that after we paid them, we noticed some sprinklers in the area they were working did not run properly. I called them, and Mauro, the owner, personally came out and fixed the problem right away. We are so happy with this company, they will be servicing our trees from now on. I would give this business zero stars if I could. I met the owner Victor who is most unprofessional person I have dealt with. He had given me a time to come visit my property between 8 and 9 am when came in at 8.27am I attended to him have him all the details and told him to wait for 5 minutes as my husband who was on a office call would come and show him around the property in about 5 min since he was on an important office call. When my husband came out in exactly 5 minutes to attend to this guy he was gone, just like that without letting us know I don't what kind of an attitude this guy has but wasted our morning I am glad we did not get him for the job since he seemed to have some sort of an attitude which was clearly not going to be worth dealing with.I would highly recommend going with someone else and not wasting your time read more

RUN! DO NOT HIRE!!! Terrible customer service!!!! I would like to point out a common theme among negative reviews. If anything goes wrong during the job, the company is argumentative and defensive and unwilling to remedy the situation. Look at his response below to see how he's trying to insult me and my husband for pointing out their poor work. We're very dissatisfied and disgusted with their service and customer service. First, this company offered to pay me for my reviews on Yelp and google but since I wrote a negative review they have not paid me. If they pay me, I'll update my review. Otherwise, I would assume they have positive reviews because they pay for them based on my terrible experience. If I could give less than 1 star I would because they damaged my property and said they are not liable for any damages. I hired this company to trim my trees that we want to grow into hedges, cleanup my backyard planters, remove rose bushes and rocks from my front yard and trim palm trees. I'll explain how they are incompetent, and unprofessional in regards to every service and we did not receive the service or quality we were expected. Remove rose bushes and rocks: they pulled the rose bushes out and broke my sprinkler system. They told my husband one of the guys stepped on the sprinkler and broke it! They're acting like it broke because a root damaged it. Then, They told my husband they fixed the sprinklers. We took their word for it and we realized several weeks later the system is not working and our plants have not been receiving water. When I contacted the company, Omar said he was not responsible for any damage and they "did us a favor fixing it in the first place." His response was to "READ MY CONTRACT" He said he turned the sprinklers on to show my husband it was working but that was a lie. They never turned the sprinklers on! The entire conversation consisted of Omar yelling over me so I called him a piece of shit and hung up the phone. They also said the rock removal wasn't In the quote so they charged me extra to remove the rocks. Trim hedges: When they arrived they said the trees were too young to trim the way I wanted, even though they're at least 5 years old and this was not the information given to me when they came out for a quote. So basically they trimmed my trees like 6 inches which is pretty much a drop in the bucket off a 14 foot tree. Trim palm trees: this was fine. They did leave trimmings behind. Planter Cleanup: they pulled many of my plants that were not weeds and left weeds behind. I would consider this incomplete and incompetent. They left dirt and debris all over my property and sidewalk. I would have at-least expected them to clean up their mess. read more
