They fixed a leaky pipe in my backyard without having to pull up my pavers and then they fixed a pipe in my front planter that solved low pressure on my drip lines. No fuss, no extra charges or unnecessary parts and labor. Highly recommend OC sprinkler repair. Found this local OC company via Yelp projects. They were one of the first to respond. They asked for a few pics and a few otter questions. I asked for a job estimate. They provided that as well. They DID NOT say we need to see this in person to give you an estimate (like another 6 companies did). We scheduled a time and repair was completed within 2 hours. While adhesive was drying, I asked Todd several other questions about my backyard. He inspected each sprinkler zone, looked at my timer duration and sprinkler watering schedule. He made a few suggestions. Then we started each zone sprinklers and he found several defects. Todd was extremely responsive when I initially contacted him about my sprinkler system. He came out the same day and began the work within a few days, which I really appreciated. Initially, it seemed like the low-pressure issue had been fixed. Unfortunately, within a day or two, the sprinklers were back to not spraying with enough pressure or coverage. I reached out to let him know and had to follow up several times. I've now been told that his August schedule is full and that he won't be able to come back out for a while. At this point, my grass is dying from inadequate watering, and I'm frustrated that I paid to have the issue repaired but am still dealing with the same problem. I understand that schedules get busy, but I would have expected a recently completed repair that didn't resolve the issue to be prioritized as a callback rather than treated as a new appointment. I really wanted to have a positive experience based on how responsive Todd was initially, but unfortunately I'm disappointed with how the follow-up has been handled. read more

I reached out via Yelp because of generally positive reviews despite some recent negatives. Todd came out the same day which was a nice surprise, but things quickly went south from there. I showed the side yard where I wanted a new sprinkler valve with a drip line, and Todd insisted I needed a landscape plan before I could even consider what type of irrigation I wanted. It was a strange, tense exchange until I said that I was planning on succulents and then he was suddenly in agreement that a drip line could work. On the other side of the yard I showed an area with a leak and was curious what it would cost to replace that zone since it was aging. Rather than offer a ball park he insisted that I should play "guess how much this is going to cost". I tried to calmly explain that I called him out for a quote because I was not qualified to quote myself, yet he never relented and still wanted me to play his guessing game. He took pictures and said he would get back to me on the Monday with quotes for both jobs, but on Monday he texted that they were busy and to try again in fall. He can rest assured I will not be trying again in fall. This was far and away the strangest encounter I have ever had with a contractor. read more

I was disappointed with my experience. I called first thing in the morning for a sprinkler repair and spoke to Steve who said he would get back to me in a few hours because he was at a job. He said to send him a picture of the issue so I did. After waiting over four hours without any update, I reached out to check on the status. Around that time, I also received several accidental text messages from the same number that had nothing to do with my service request. When I followed up again, the only response I received was an apology for the mistaken texts. There was no update on my repair request, no estimated arrival time, and no communication about whether someone would still be coming out. I never heard back for the rest of the day. I understand that schedules can change and emergencies happen, but a simple update or honest communication would have been appreciated. I have used this company for many years whenever I have a problem " above my pay grade" . They have always been very responsive, professional and very reasonably priced! This past weekend I had a sprinkler valve not shutting off . I took a quick video and text it to Steve and asked him " how much and how soon". This is a summary of our experience with OC Sprinkler Repair: I called OC Sprinkler Repair. Steve answered the phone. I inquired if they could replace our sprinkler heads with drip lines. Steve said, "Not right now, I'm on the phone. Call me back in thirty minutes." Later, I left a voicemail. Didn't hear back, so I gave it one more try. Finally scheduled an 11am consultation. The day of the consultation, OC Sprinkler Repair didn't show at the scheduled time. I texted to inquire if they were still coming. They replied they were running behind schedule. SIX hours later, two OC Sprinkler Repair workers arrived. They offered no apology and said they were "just dropping by on their way home." They took photos and said they'd email quote. So we needed an overhaul for our sprinkler system. Some of the valves and timers needed to be replaced. Also we had a lot of broken nozzles and the layout was all wrong. The original installer used a 12 inch nozzles everywhere so a lot of water was going on sidewalks and driveways. Angel and Eddie came out replaced what wasn't working and reconfigured the sprinkler layout that was most efficient. They did a great job and the price was very reasonable. Had an irrigation leak in a small area near a gas pipe so wanted to make sure I called a licensed professional to diagnose and repair the issue. If I could give six stars, or 10, I would. Steve is deserving of it. I reached out to them and they responded immediately, and even offered to stop by same day to spend at least an hour trying to fix whatever they could, since they were already in my neighborhood. Steve and Todd arrived about 90 minutes later. I was already impressed. They then spent a good amount of time and effort simply diagnosing the various problems in my sprinkler system, provided me a very reasonable quote and began working on those problems on the spot. Both of them were here until late, getting it done, and they did. Both of them had tremendous knowledge and experience, especially Steve. You can really tell Steve takes pride in his work, which is such an admirable quality. He was also extremely polite, friendly and patient as he explained the mechanics of how sprinkler systems work and the problems I was having and how he was going to solve them.
